This is the saddest story that I've read in this year. I can not imagine how that guy feels. This is stupid but I think  I  would  kill myself if it happened to me. This is an incredibly huge amount of money now.

yes it is very insulting, now he would be a millionaire. I wonder how many more such wallets are in the world, with a lost balance. I will certainly hope that the guy will still be able to restore his wallet

This is painful losing a staggering amount of 103 BTC . Now he is giving his wallet ID for any one to try if they can open the wallet? Ok we will try. If we succeed what next.

I doubt these Bitcoins can be used more, but hopefully this does not happen often to people.

This guy has lost 103 bitcoins he mined back in 2011 and then lost his wallet dat file similar to what I have done but wow this guy must be gutted the amount of money he has lost compared to me

His Address    166BuLPWHUjqoqiYp5rGE3B5r5AmqgHpoL    Final Balance   103.20832384 BTC

So many people have the same problem and I wonder just how much Bitcoin is stuck not being able to be used Sad

He says "I used to mine Bitcoin back in 2011 and I lost my wallet.dat file (through several stupid moves on my part). It's got approx 103 BTC in it, anyone is welcome to it, I've given up trying."

What a sad story it is. 103 is more than enough to have stable life and stable to have a business, house, etc. Life happens for a reason, tough times don't last forever, tough people do. I hope and I pray that this guys can found his wallet.dat.

This is really very sad. I hope this guy finds his wallet.dat.
Sometimes fate makes really bad jokes with us, but just when we are least expecting, she gets revanved for this.
I hope this to happen in this story, although it has been so many years.

Wow that's the saddest thing I have heard this week. If I had such an amount I would backup my private key 10 times. I wonder how he actually lost it, must be some very bad luck as I'm sure he had backups.

Yes, of course he was unlucky. But he had to think about the future and take care of the safety of your wallet.

It's so sad to hear this kind of story. This probably didn't expect that the BTC price will pick up this high in the future. It's been only 7 years and see the turnout. Hopefully more people will learn from this and keep their passwords and wallet address safely and secured.

This is the problem with Bitcoins. Once the coins are lost, they are lost forever. Can't blame him though. In 2011, no one thought that Bitcoin will hit an exchange rate of $19,000 per coin after a few years. LOL.. not even Satoshi might have thought like that.

Similar story like the one with the guy who paid 10 000 BTC for 2 pizzas back in 2010. Poor guys  Embarrassed

That's actually a different story. That was a milestone, a sacrifice meant. Had that transaction never happened, BTC could still be a neopet currency.

Wow, he has actually 103 Bitcoin in his wallet. He must be really disappointed with losing his wallet.dat. I wish he gets it soon as possible back but that is nearly impossible.

Actually who is this guy ? Does he has a name ?

Yeah that amount is so big. If that wallet is not stolen maybe ge can get it maybe theres a way to find it or to retrieve what he lost.
