I've nearly completed a wallet re-design for Phoenixcoin. Well, it's not a brand new design from scratch, but it looks much better now than before. Scheduled for v0.6.5.1. Have a sneak peek.

The official Phoenixcoin P2Pool network has been launched yesterday. Over 100 blocks mined already. P2Pool for Phoenixcoin

so the new wallet will not work on windows 7 64x?
The version 1.3 32 bit Window's Client (which is all we have) will work on just about any windows system. I have tested it from xp to nt to 7 and I have word that it works on 8 as well. If I can get a 64 bit client working then it will only work on 7 or 8 64 bit. 64-bit clients work well on XP x64 and 2003 x64 as well.

Flound, have you decided how to compensate PXC miners for not receiving half of their earnings in November and December?
I haven't, actually. Any suggestions given that the records are completely gone now from that time period? We're talking about less than 1/2 a bitcoin worth of PXC, btw. I could donate it to charity or something I guess. Yes, must be not much. PXC will be setting up a development fund with a public ledger shortly, so you can donate it there. The community will decide what to do with this and other donations.

Only the strong survive. It's loyal miners who support and push coins forward. Lose them and game over.

5% doesn't sound too bad really (regarding ADT).
You make the coin, and try and get some money. Let's not kid ourselves that many of these coins function to do anything else (a few noble exceptions, of course)
ORB was about 66%, or so I am led to believe.
PXC was hugely premined, too. Again, I am led to believe about 30%.
Then there were the FTC accusations, never verified whether true or not.
What? PXC pre-mined hugely? 1 million out of 168 million back in time, 0.6%. It's no more anyway.

Flound, your PXC pool pays half the reward to miners for over a month. When the last hard fork took place on the 16-Nov-2013 (block #154000), block reward increased from 25 to 50 PXC. You calculate it at 25 PXC still. The miners receive half their profit.
Well, shit.. No wonder nobody is mining PXC here. You're actually the first person to point this out. The problem's been fixed but I only have payout records going back 7 days now.. I will think about how I can compensate people. You have transaction logs. I guess you can repeat all PXC transactions made after the hard fork.

Another Phoenixcoin Give-Away!Phoenixcoin (PXC) is a decentralised open source digital currency. It was founded as a further development of Litecoin 7 months ago. No matter what people say, this coin is here to stay. If you want some PXC for free, you have it here! New to PXC? Visit Phoenixcoin.org and download a wallet of your choice. Install, launch, copy your PXC address from the 'Receive coins' tab and paste it in this thread. Would be nice if you care to say what you think about Phoenixcoin, too. The conditions:1) anyone with at least 10 forum posts can participate; 2) only 1 payout per user (nicknames and addresses are logged); 3) regular payout is 1 PXC; 4) you get double the regular payout if you've ever mined to the address you provide (we shall verify with a block explorer, but you tell us first). You can spend the coins on dice games at Altcoin Dice, blackjack at Crypto Blackjack or whatever else. The coins are given away in small batches to minimise time consumed and transaction fees, so be patient.
