Did anyone here watched Womens Eurobasket final between Spain and Belgium. Spain had double digit lead with few minutes remaining and then if Im not mistaken Belgium made run 14:0 and won back to back gold. You have to see it, I can't describe it in words:
https://x.com/EuroBasketWomen/status/1939402333500113348It looked strange that Belgium didn't fouled and then Spain somehow managed to lose the ball. And that last Spain attack, I actually thought that there was fould for Belgium, but refs called travelling. Feel sad for Spain when I see emotions of players, but to lose game in such way is, I have no words.
Well, I guess everyone needs to start from somewhere to become someone. Paris did the same and they perform great, why not Zalgiris with Masiulis?
You right, I'm more surprised that from all possible names mentioned, they chosen someone who was least considered in public. Still, IMO, it would be less risk to gain experience as head coach in smaller club, than jumping straight from assistant to head coach of Euroleague club.
