Hey people, we are launching a multiplayer game platform called battlecoin, first game implemented is bomberman.

The idea is to do skill based competition, and winner takes everyones BTC Smiley





new games will be built on top of this. the platform supports multiple game servers (regions) so that everyone can have a low ping.

Well what can i say, i love it haha, the pixel art is great man, i can guarantee you this site is going to be big, what other games are you planning on add? Are you open for suggestions? Or you already started making them

thanks! yeah, I'm happy with the way it looks like, and want to keep the pixel artish style behind it. there obviously isn't a pro designer behind this though, might be in the future, depending on how much people like it.

I'm totally open to suggestions! on anything. I'll be very much directed by the community.

I really like bomberman so made that one first, I think a stupid simple thing like multiplayer snake will be super fun too.
I'd like to make a bomberman with infinite arena at some point, into which you can just join in and play until you die. after that, didn't think much. I'll have a lot of work making this run smoothly I think.




hey, so, I was a bit too eager. fixed the last bug and quickly published. now I'm noticing that you can only play singleplayer works and end game dialog doesn't show, will fix these things in the following hours.

yes! that's why it supports multiple servers so you can pick the one that's closest to you, for now there is only one server, in Berlin, but in the following weeks I'll buy additional servers depending on where the players are from.

haha yeah, you can't play with ping 300... there will be a server closer to you in a few days!


ok obvious bugs are fixed, pls people let me know if you notice something broken, no deposits/withdrawals atm until everything is sorted

my lag is like 5 times smaller as im in europe, also pretty cool game cant wait to try it out with real bitcoin

spawned a north american server. when you create the game it will autoselect the one closest to you.

I think the game itself should work very well as long as Bots are not there. But I get a lot of lags, its not moving in a smooth motion and is rather blinking while moving. Might be good if you can take an already built flash game, and perhaps play with the coding to have it integrated.

EDIT: The smoothness was fixed, and runs good now. However the player is able to  come out of the boundary and also able to move on the blue background part for me. Looks like a bug there.

yup, there are some bugs. they are minor and things will run more smooth within a next few days. I published a bit early.
(blinking happens because your browser didn't load all the images, images should be preloaded when starting a game. this will be implemented)

lagging I  can't help much with, I'll just spawn a lot of game servers so they are close to people.. and maybe player character should move without waiting for server feedback, so that it runs smoother, will play with that.

and I'll try to reproduce running out of boundaries thing you mentioned, it used to happen if characters go very fast.

about bots, yeah, its a real issue long term, I think keeping highscores (and win/lose/earnings ratios) will help players decide who to play with,
and maybe optional registration with facebook acc/sms/something + kicking users that are using bots will help, this will be an ongoing arms race.
I don't mind bot vs bot play or bot vs people if the fact that it is a bot is not hidden, but I'm guessing that in most scenarios bots will be used for cheating and not for nerdy programming contests Smiley
and in the end, people capable of programming good bots that win but are not easy to detect can probably earn more bitcoin some other better way.

yeah, I've seen a lot of screaming and jumping out of chairs with bomberman Smiley

bomberman blast on wii is my favorite one because it has this game mode in which you fight to own a crown by the time the time runs out.. they call it "countdown" I'll implement it here.

It looks amazing. Unfortunately I am now in SE Asia with a crappy internet. Ping to all the 3 servers are well over 200 ms. Sad
It would be great if there are some round-based PvP games for me.
