We need a better easier implementation of the masternodes. I don't know why I cannot easily just setup a masternode . I have everything in place for that, but yet it doesn't work and I cannot make it work. lets get what is actually enabled in this coin to work properly with little effort.  for you people that will say I don't know what im doing etc.. instead just give me some examples how you overcame my obstacles instead. If im the only one other than dbs that has had this problem.. then I'd say out of the 200 odd users this coin has a long way to go for adoption.

Nowhere near 200 users.  Just 200 masternodes!

I wonder what happened to the masternode contest?

Care to comment MasterTrader?

agreed, I see some ip addresses with multiple instances of mn running.. are those only Linux models?

Nope, I have 10 nodes on a windows based aws server.

The masternodes appear to be functioning properly, its usually your ISP blocking the connection when you've properly forwarded the port and it's still not working.

I agree. Can you explain how to setup an aws instance?

I did my part, set it up, got the graphics done, put up donate address's....and guess what?

Nobody touched them.

What am I supposed to do, pay for the prizes myself?

Fat chance...I have my own expenses with ToshiDesk and MTR.

Not going to promote something the community doesn't support.

It's that simple.

So now I'm getting antsy, and feeling like I wasted my time here on this, have this ugly bag...and a bit sour about it.

No hard feelings man.  I was just wondering.

We can hold our bags together. Cheesy

Everybody chill.  Dev probably has a job, a family, a life, and it's the weekend.  Yes, the darksend code is public, but it still has to be integrated into the 8bit code and tested.  Be appreciative that the dev is communicating.

He said every stage on the roadmap would take a week.

So you think that he wouldn't have a screenshot of the 8bit mmo at this point?

Or be able to explain what services can be hosted on the masternodes network?

I've asked these questions several times and have not gotten a response.

I said each stage will take a week give or take.
I will not release a code that could be unsafe,
or cause someone's wallet to be hacked.
let me finish working on it and solve the issues.
I will update when I am done.

The only thing you just responded to were my concerns about your timeline, which are the least of my worries.

Can you provide proof that the 8bit mmo is in development?

Can you talk about what services are going to be available on the masternodes?

The roadmap is incredibly vague.

It just isn't that hard to answer these questions, and I've asked them for weeks.  You avoid them.

8BIT is only two weeks old, and the game will be a simple MMO game that uses the
masternodes as game servers, this will be done to show what kind of services masternodes
can provide. I will not code full game project in one week. I still have to implement code to
allow hosting and file sharing on masternodes, before I even start coding the game.
This coin I made for 8BIT fans and the development is part of that.

I am sure you are working hard in the background. Maybe some small things like twitter would help. Is the donation address in the OP. Maybe a wallet(donation address) for projects the community votes. on. It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop.

For those who can't connect let start here

for windows- make a static Ip address for whatever is running your wallets
1.windows Icon bottom left win7 -right click on it for win8
2.windows 7  type cmd in the search box after hitting start and hit enter, Win8 once you right click it will be an option for you to click on.
3.type this in the box just like this          ipconfig/all      of course with out the spaces and what not
4.you will need to write down some number if you can remember them
1.subnet mask
2.Default gateway.

Part two

1.start win7 -right click win8 on windows icon bottom right
2.control panel
3.network and internet
4.view network status and task
5.look for a place where it says local area connection or wifi that you can click on
6.click on LAN or Wifi depending on how you are connected ( don't recommend Wifi but it will work)
7.click on properties
8.click on Internet protocol version 4 (TCP/IPv4)
9.once this is highlighted click properties
10.now this is where the numbers you wrote down come in place, click on use the following IP Adress
11.should prob read something like 192.168.1.*** <----- Put anything in the last box starting at 20 no more than 200 " i will use 125 for this example
12.example haha  "192.168.1.125"
13.type your subnet mask should look like this "255.255.255.0"
14.now type you default gate way "192.168.1.1" should look like that , you may have something else who know you wrote this stuff down remember
15.last box we are going to type in Preferred DNS Server. It should match your Default Gateway.
Click the box that says validate settings upon exit and then Ok

Part three
go to router main page click on port forward/port triggering
1.now click port forward
2.add custom service
3.service name "whatever you would like"
4.service type TCP
5.External starting port=9999
6.External ending port=9999
7.Internal Ip address= 192.168.1.125 "whatever you typed in for line 12 will go here"
8.Hit apply.

Prob help to restart modem and router.

after reboot

Try starting you first master node.

Hope this helps someone if not sorry. Im sharing simply what worked for me.

Also I have a Net gear router.

Look at the top wallet. It has increased so much! I think this is serious accumulation. If he owns the top wallet and still have dozens of masternodes running (which is different addresses) , phew. Moon after accumulation

I think you are right. Many coins came out at the same time as this one and none of them were suppressed as hard as this one. It is the simplest explanation and to me that signifies that it is the correct answer.  Long-term accumulation.

I don't know why everyone is so worried. The price has been doing fine the last few days. The dev is working hard and putting out updates faster than any other coin I have ever seen.

Is a normal thing now days in the crypto world, they all worry about the daily price, I just saw the amount of nodes and i think this would be a nice coin to have in my portfolio.

If the dev keeps up the work in a month we could be at 600 nodes at lease.

I don't think anyone is worried...I'm not.

A little more communication from the dev would be nice though.

Communication is key, however I believe "WE" as a community need to communicate directly with each other.

There are a few of us on this board that are willing to invest our time and skills to help push this coin to the next stages and I believe these individuals need to work together as a team and directly with the Dev.  After a few brainstorming sessions and some leadership we could really push this coin to greatness.  What do you say Dev? Let's schedule a time this community can have a open conversation about the direction of the coin and what "US" as a community can do to contribute.  Perhaps some kind of group call.

Anyone with skills and believe they can contribute to this project please PM me.  One set of skills I need in particular is a strong English writer (if this is you, definitely PM me).

Morning fellas...

Looks like the price held pretty steadily at .0007 last night.  That's a good sign.

I don't know why everyone is so worried. The price has been doing fine the last few days. The dev is working hard and putting out updates faster than any other coin I have ever seen.

I don't think anyone is worried...I'm not.

A little more communication from the dev would be nice though.

In my experience, brilliant programmers are not great with people. What he needs is a good pr manager. I take comfort in the fact that the dev doesn't communicate much.

Communication is key, however I believe "WE" as a community need to communicate directly with each other.

Well said. I agree with these points. Unfortunately I can only help in buying coins and running masternodes. I'm sure if we all continue to support this coin and not panic every time the price drops a little it will have a fantastic future.
