Hi Community,

Team-EnergyCoin gave the order to the developer to fork EnergyCoin for slowdown the blocktime and set a fixed block-reward and add several extra security tweaks see the following new specs:

Quote
0. PoS minimum difficulty: 0.00097656 (new) Target block time: 150 seconds (new)

1. Implement the recent important security updates similar to LTC and DOGE.

2. Change PoS reward to a fixed amount of 5 ENRG to encourage more people staking

3. Narrow the allowable range of stakesplitthreshold (1000 default and 5000 max).

4. Allow users to split into multiple outputs easily when sending
coins (eg: split into multiple 1000 ENRG).

For now if see only 11 nodes online. I hope more people start staking again soon!
We have some VPS running but that is not enough for a secure network.
The new software is a standard flavour on the Rocos platform!
We have so much potential for future environmental energy application that I am wondering why not more people join our community and start buying ENRG and staking. The resource problems with the very high speed blocktime is over is a few weeks and the fixed PoS reward is also for small shareholders a good chance for extra profit!
So start your wallets and support EnergyCoin as much as you can!

The flat-rate rewards mean there's no more interest? Or is that on top of it (i.e., if I'd normally get 1 ENRG in interest, now I get 6)?

Hi Ranlo nice to see you here again!

The flat-rate rewards mean there's no more interest? Or is that on top of it (i.e., if I'd normally get 1 ENRG in interest, now I get 6)?

Not you get 5 ENRG as a fixed reward and each day you have a new chance to get that reward with an minimum 1000 ENRG block.
The big blocks get also the 5 ENRG reward but have more weight and that gives more chance to win but 24/7 online is then the best option to get maximum PoS rewards.
An new extra feature we add to the wallet that you can see how many time for getting your reward for staking.

Great changes! I like the direction you're heading in now, Smiley. May need to snag more ENRG.

That's great news. Communication should insist on the reward system that favor small holders. It's pretty unusual and our coin is very fair.

I think we are heading in good direction.

i like this ,,, great development having payout for small holders, encourage usage, scarce coins on market, higher value. stakes is high

Might want to be careful with StaisyBit, I have not been able to withdraw from it in over a month. Keep getting an nonsensical error about how I have a pending withdraw, but if I do, its been pending for 45 days. I sent a ticket but as far as I can tell, I have no response. This might just be a problem with my account there and it might clear up but everyone needs to be on guard for possible scams from sites that hold your coins and the private keys. You have no power over what you deposit.

Oh, don't get me wrong, Im not making accusations but if withdraws are not available then Im just making sure that people know that what they deposit might be unavailable or at risk. As a matter of course, I do not generally trust anyone to keep my coins. I did put some coins into staisyBit to give it a try.

Fact remains that if we do not have access to private keys, we are in some way vulnerable to losing what we put in. That fact needs to be reiterated often so people do not forget.
