Nearly 1 year since this thread was created.

BTA is accepted on 10 Exchanges - one of which is anonymous

3 Different Android Wallets

BTA was created after a discussion with the community. Now it is time to move into Phase 2 & 3. Once voting is finished we will move forward with POS discussion, if POS is still in the lead. Phase 3 will be integration to a Barter platform. More info will come on that soon.

For now, I make it clear that I strongly advise to buy and sell BTA wisely.

PoS:
- encourages users to keep their funds in a wallet and not an exchange (i'm going to guess that 75% of bata is on exchanges)
- keeps the network healthy with open wallets
- provides more justification for app development to integrate more features into said wallet (market, ticket, chat, etc)
- lessens the walls on exchanges
- gives wallet holders a chance to gain more bata by doing nothing but keeping their wallets open for staking

good points bobcaticus, thanks.

It is looking like POS is the best way forward at this current stage.

Well, Both POW and POS

Keep the POW going at current rate as planned to keep everything blockchain in order but add POS on top of it.

I was attracted to the coin by it's low mintage among other things. so i dont want to see that lost
but I think if the amount of coins doubled every 7 years including what is being mined. (would need to estimate to find the % of stake) It wouldn't be to bad

Accounting for a bonus stake period at the start to grab peoples interest, could set for 1 years worth of staking to be delivered over 2 months and have the first 7 year cycle being only 6 years 2 months   Wink

Though it is intended as a transaction coin so you dont want people only staking coins and not using them.
So after 2 months have it set so transactions to merchants (both ways) accepting the coin give it more network weight.

As opposed to having amount of coins and time as only measure for network weight mix that with usage so essentially your buying free items just because your spending or accepting your BATA and keeping wallet open,

TX just went with coinpayments, it opens up to more transactions.

The barter platform will take care of the transactions and staking.

We need to consider that BTA will act as a trade dollar, giving people the opportunity to move stock, or reduce vacancies etc. BTA itself will have a value at that present moment, so the incentive is that your "barter" at that particular time could potentially increase over time, rather than devalue, be empty or no sales.
