Right now is a great time to buy $BTA, here is why:

1/ Plan to change to POS
2/ Price is low and BTA is available across a numbers of exchanges - decentralized
3/ Long and fair POW distribution process - over one year
4/ Solid plan for future development of Barter system.

Your support now will be rewarded with future developments.

Jolly good,

It's a shame these ICO's are sucking up so much BTC off the trading markets

Jolly good,

It is a shame, hopefully some good comes of it for the people who shelled out for ICO's.

We are nutting out the best POS for BTA, it would be a shame to miss out on BTA at these low prices. The price is being driven down, it takes very little BTC to make BTA rise.

We have made it as fair as possible and also giving people time use and accumulate BTA.

People have a choice, we have made our plans clear and obtainable. Those who support BTA long term will be rewarded.

I'm looking forward to helping build this coin and community.

I really like the Tor and i2p options. I don't use them, but I think privacy is becoming THE issue with cryptos. I hope to see more development of that down the road.

If I understand correctly we will be able to mine with our wallets at some point. That could be very cool. I would suggest not making the staking amount too high so that more people would be willing to participate. I already own a lot of Bata so I'm more interested in encouraging others to own Bata rather than adding to my pile.

I'm curious about the barter system and would be happy to help test it out when needed.

I would like to add an interesting observation that I noticed while building my Bata balance:

Okay, so I see the price dropping and I think GREAT! I'll put in a large buy order. I placed an order for several thousand Bata. Even though my order was usually at top of the list (I often offered the best price), I still didn't get many takers. I kept my order up there for days and the volume stayed flat and pretty low. My thinking was that someone with a lot of Bata to sell could easily dump it and I would offer them a fair price. Some did, but that volume stayed low.

So, I pulled out my offer. I just let the market drop...and it did. The volume went up and people were selling off their Bata for much lower than I had been offering. Suddenly someone offers to sell several thousand Bata at much lower than I was offering just a few days ago. So, I scooped it up.

It's so weird that it actually takes a dropping price to motivate some people to sell. That is the EXACT opposite of what one is supposed to do. Perhaps occasionally somewhere down the road it may look smart to have sold when the price was dropping, but it is a terrible habit. The other bad habit is to hold on when people offer insanely high prices--but that one is much more difficult to master.

Very interesting insight.

You are correct in that there is some strange trading in altcoin markets.

many patterns to watch, Pump & Dump, Whale, Dump then Whale, etc.  I think there are a few articles on the patterns.

This I2P proposal on Stack Exchange should be of interest to the BTA community.

https://area51.stackexchange.com/proposals/99297/i2p

Although the proposal was posted by a Monero developer it is meant to benefit the entire I2P community which includes BATA.

If you are interested in the C++ I2P router project  happening now you can watch its progress here:

I'm pretty sure that people are holding on to BTC due to the price rise. It has gone up over $100 per bitcoin in a short time. If one sells their BTC now and then BTC hits $1000, they will feel like they missed out. Probably not going to see much action in Bata until BTC normalizes a bit. Might even get a price spike if BTC plunges.

Not much can be done about it at this time. BTC is the 800 lb. gorilla right now.

Yeah Aint much beating  BTC at $580.

Some really good coins have been slaughtered last few weeks, but even then it's hard to pick if it's the bottom with BTC Halvening coming up.

Just gotta sit it out and hope to catch some falling knives.

This coin really has nothing going for it but your presence. The github is stale, there's nothing but a "functioning" blockchain. To expect people to use the coin for purposes of I2p/Tor is simply not enough really. While your "marketing", if you will, is not bad, there has not been many real selling points for people to garner interest in it.

From a value perspective it's a "cheap blockchain" with "active dev" - but what has been done, really? Alt.Report gave this a D for lacking innovation amongst other things, and nothing has changed since.

Money is best invested in individuals who are highly creative. I guess it is up to those of us who have invested in this coin to innovate. Speaking of which, I would like to brainstorm and throw out some ideas and get some feedback on them. Is this forum the best place to do that? Or is it preferred to do that in a different location?

You are welcome to discuss here.

If there is an innovation that we have overlooked I would be glad to discuss it and implement it if required.

By no means have we finished, there are various barter systems available to use so we have that aspect of the total goal taken care of. POW has been fair and long, something which the general community at the time demanded - this does not seem to account for much these days as we see ICO's more and more. POS is on the way - final specs have not been released, nor has the amount of BTA required to stake.

We aim for a worldwide barter network, taking on the likes of those who are part of the 20 Billion dollar Barter industry. This system works yet we will make it a debit based system rather than a credit based system. No it is not a traditional marketplace like ebay etc.

In regards to i2p & TOR they are important for worldwide user access.

I've been asking for a roadmap for almost a year now - at least give us some reason to hold BTA longer.

There is a paradigm shift for altcoins going on, and those with no innovation or unique features are going to quickly be left in the dust.

Ok here is a brief roadmap, which I have been discussing previously but have not put it into a Roadmap as such:

STAGE 1 Proof of Work period ( nearly over)

STAGE 2 Proof of Stake

STAGE 3 Barter system integration, Website & App

STAGE 4 Barter Bridge for unrestricted worldwide barter trade (i2p & TOR access)

STAGE 5 Marketing to mainstream businesses
