If the Barter system was to be invested by the community, part of the profit would go back into liquidity on the markets.

I have too little information about the barter system to form an opinion.

I think the key to success with Bata (or any crypto) is going to revolve around the ease of user experience. What seems easy to experienced crypto users may seem confusing or difficult to new users.

1. Getting a Bata wallet. A wallet is not a normal or common piece of software. People also have had the dangerous experience of downloading malware and may be hesitant to download something unfamiliar. Getting Bata needs to be simple and must have non-software options for using a wallet. Preferably something like an electrum wallet that can be accessed through a browser like a bank account. If they can get that far then the next step would be to download a wallet. Wallet user interface needs to be redesigned--simple, simple, simple. Think Google.

2. Buying Bata. Buying any cryptocurrency is a learning curve that NEEDS to be reduced. It took some time for me to discover Coinbase. I also had one of the last transactions from coin.mx. After purchasing some bitcoin on coin.mx the owner of the company was arrested later that day and the site was shut down. That was a close one! An easier and safer way of obtaining Bata MUST be designed.

3. Safer transactions. Imagine you send some cryptocurrency to a wrong address. "OOPS, accidentally typed the wrong letter. Oh well, gone forever." That is totally unacceptable. There absolutely needs to be a confirmation of delivery or the currency should automatically be returned.

4. Thrilling use. The idea that drugs and other illegal stuff can actually be bought with cryptocurrency makes cryptocurrency seem exciting. Ideally it would be a similar thrilling use of Bata (without the drugs and illegal stuff) which will capture people's imaginations. Requiring an exclusive use of Bata will also ensure success. Perhaps the barter system will be that application. But we should be open to others.

Bata will adapt the model of Bartercard:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bartercard

But instead of using stale trade dollars, BTA will be used, therefore the barter transaction could also be used as a future investment or purchase.

1/ The android wallets are very easy to use. We have 3, a BTA branded one, Uberpay and Coinomi.  The reason for not having an online wallet at present is due to the potential security risk or in other words you are putting your BTA in other peoples hands for safe keeping. This can be added to the BTA system / platform, which will also have a staking feature.

2/ With BTA being on so many exchanges it is accessible. But we can also look at it being sold or converted directly on the barter system.

3/ Every transaction on the blockchain is confirmed, but I hear what you are saying regarding addresses.

4/ On the darknet you can get your thrills, via i2p or TOR nodes Wink

It's not getting any easier to obtain BTA, there seems to be a lot of waiting going on for low buy orders, for example take a look Bittrex. Of course after writing this those orders maybe removed.

That was a nice little dump, nearly 100k I reakon, Probably at a loss to. LOL

I hate spending BTC at the moment on ALT's becasue who knows where either will stop.

but sub 1k BATA.....well..

Not many coins hit the market daily, when those who will dump do it will naturally go up, As is happening in WBB,
This is good to shake weak hands out.

Probably not the best time to sell, but everyone has their reasons.

I don't see Bitcoin's coin reducing anytime soon. One might not think it is the right time to put BTC into crypto, but those looking longterm probably already know that Bitcoin will continue to rise.
Cryptos are backed by Bitcoin and the dollar is supposedly backed by gold.

Yes some may need to live of that BTC, others will hold because we know how Bitcoin started, we have been around long enough to see beyond the 2k profit here and there. We are here for the goal, not for a quick rich scheme.

Correct, one whole farce. It's backed by debt, on the other hand, BTA is backed by mathematics and Bitcoin Wink

When Bitcoin is low alts are high and visa versa, so looking forward, Bitcoin will most probably continue to rise until halving.

So any BTA you buy today will adjust to the price accordingly and will be rewarded accordingly.

It is true that BTC can't go higher and can stabilize around 600$ after halving?

Due the new mining hardware https://www.cryptocompare.com/mining/bitmain/antminer-s9-miner/

It is so power efficient that there is just zero reason for much higher prices even at halved  BTC block reward.

(if new miners need 1/3 of the power old ones needed why half block  reward should enforce a higher BTC price?)

I am thinking about using a cloud service to run a Bata wallet 24/7 after we switch to POS. Is that possible to do? If so, how could one do that?

This brings about so many questions.

Can I set it up to for Tor or I2P? Should I use a VPN?

I want to create a reliable, dedicated part of the network (a node?). I would also like to contribute to anonymity if possible. I don't mind paying a monthly rental fee for my cloud server as long as it isn't too much. I also may need some advice on making the server/wallet secure.
