My coins are gone?
i loaded all my coins into the wallet last night and now they are all gone.
is this supposed to happen or did I get robbed?

You probably used the link that was quoted by Mr. Gibbs. It has a Trojan to steal coins. A common scam on bitcointalk is for these scumbags to infest a new coin and quote the Devs link to the wallet but change the link to a wallet with a built in back door. You may have compromised your whole computer and all of your wallets and any other sensitive data.

Again all I can say is that is very weird. Gibbs is a good guy so I can only speculate that if what you say is indeed true that his BCT account may have been compromised.

He does not have enough history for you to make that claim. Speaking of history if you look through his he sure spends a lot of time quoting posts with wallet links in them.

Also, make sure that your wallet stays open and is not encrypted. Encrypted wallets will not stake.

Wait. What? Are you sure about that? That means we can not password protect our wallets. Mine is encrypted but only unlocked for staking purposes. Is that what you meant? If not then you have some security issues to deal with.

When you unlock the wallet,  there is the option to enable "for staking only".  So yes, that is what he meant.

I suspect that some crowdfunders are going to dump some later on today but I suggest to you all to stay the course and sit on your stacks. A 25-30% gain is nothing. I will be laying in wait to snatch up the cheap coins and wait on the moon shot!

I believe that I downloaded that bad link too, first. when I ran the qt file it just errored our and I thought it was a bad file, then I went to github and downloaded the  0.9.3.0 version. then I ran a virus scan just to be sure in case the first file was bad. then I went to bed.

Is there any way to get my viral back, or am I out of luck?

It was noted in the original wallet download post to be careful to only use our original authentic links. It is unfortunate that a thread user has apparently ensnared people. He has been turned over to forum mods. This is not what out community is like, and we feel it is unfortunate this incident has occurred.

I ran a virus scan last night when I downloaded the github wallet when I realized the other one was working. It is possible he took my viral before the scan ended. I just ran another and rebooted and am running another scan now just to be sure.

I guess I will never see those coins again...

Thats a lotta cheese =\ It's one thing when you lose $30 - another when its $300. I'm annoyed that this is going on to be honest - it is one thing to scrap it out on the market place with sell walls and buy walls and everything that goes with it; its another to flat out rob someone blind.

I have a hard time believing that. I have downloaded two wallets from the Dev. I scanned both of them with Malwarebytes and AVG and they cam up 100% clean. I think you downloaded from the quote of the link from Mr. Gibbs.
