Can't stop laughing.

Here is a version of the icelandic traditional meals (that is, burried rotten fish).  Some US dudes ordered some from Sweden.

hm, price on beta exchange (https://beta.isx.is) still around 7.5 ISK (0.0001315 BTC) while bittrex is at 0.000105.

The orderbook is liquid enough, don't get why noone in Iceland arbs this. Capital controls?

My understanding is most beta tester just don't sell what they bough. Was not the purpose of this phase. Hlynur (Diabotta) may answers better, but I think that the beta testing is mostly over - and now there is some preparation for the official opening. Maybe some extra teting needed ?

All good. Just observing. Seems not a lot of volume happening on beta server, yes.

I don't expect the real exchange to have high volume in the beginning, either. I think of it as infrastructure that will be used when Icelanders (re)discover Auroracoin according to their need, not before. An exchange is not something valuable in itself (except hopefully for the operator, who seems to be doing an awesome job in this case, btw), but it's something necessary.

Then just move over to bittrex. Forget cryptsy, if they're coming back, it's a miracle.

So my tickets for learning man are booked (http://learningman.co.za/) and I leave on Monday until new years eve. its going to be 7 days of sharing auroracoin with half a thousand people in a beautiful campsite in south africa. http://learningman.co.za/

If you guys have any requests of me while im there please ask before monday. If you would like to support then you can send aurora coin to    AJsSczid9naHXFtSyPWdpqFvf4C7upgtjs.

I will be doing three things at the festival:

I will give free auroracoin paper wallets to everyone attending the festival loaded with 1 aurora coin each.

I will have a tent where I will host a workshop everyday where I will educate people about auroracoin and blockchain technology.

I will give people the opportunity to buy auroracoin as I will have a stack of them to sell.

I will be getting three things out of this:

each attendee will invite one person from iceland as a friend on facebook.

each attendee will invite their facebook friend to the reykjavik trade and swap group and one auroracoin facebook groups.

finally each person will give me a hug haha, cummon guys lllets do this!

Adamastor, that sounds awesome. I have a question: what percentage of people at learning man do you expect to have smart phones?

Another question to the developers: I have this old Auroracoin Android wallet on my phone... Version 1.1.1 it says. Can I still use that? Is / will there be there an update?

Yup, good one Adamastor! I donated some AUR to your cause!

Android wallet  still works, but we recommend not to use it for it's shown to be somewhat unstable. We are working very hard on wallet updates. Since Apple has given us (and almost all other cryptocurrency related developers as well) a hard time lately, we have decided to go for a different (but actually way more awesome) path. This means we have chosen a new Android development as well.

All I can say now, be a bit more patient, we are going to release a load of good news pretty soon!

The wallet should still work on the network.  However, the mobile wallets are a huge focus for us right now, as we need to address the airdrop recipients that probably still have the original mobile wallet.  We need to get that squared away so we can continue all wallet development.

Keep your eyes peeled for announcements about this.  Once everyone comes back from Christmas with their families, we'll be putting some time into mobile development.
