Gaming and crypto are such a natural fit, I just don't get how it's still not a thing. We all wasted hours and days farming virtual gold anyway in games.

That was my thought. And a ton of subscription/cash shop-based games now allow users to buy tokens to trade to other players for gold. Adding cryptos would make sense to help facilitate RMT. Not sure what the hesitation is.

I see people don't sell their gold pieces at bittrex at the current price. It's good sign because people know GP is valuable and rare coin. But there are only a few buyers and it's not already optimistic .

Hm, i am not so sure about that. It all depends on how well and long Inkha will support the project (new additions, features, bounties, a lot of work, it is not a simple and one night job as one might think). You can see what happened with Dragon Knight, all started with high expectations, although we got it, about how well will affect the price and demand for GP, HYPER, etc. The game itself is still excellent but that is, there is no thrill anymore. The number of regular daily players tells everything. I play the game from time to time, but that is. Want something more. The big challenge is how to keep players interested in particular. Only one thing that comes to my mind is bounties and prices. Just look how well poker and game tournaments are doing (Dota 2, Smite, League of Legends, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, etc)

That is true, still remember those days, trying to accumulate as much gold as possible in particular game like Skyrim. The game was released in 2011 and its the only serious game i play even today. Ok, i know, i am not a gamer. But still. So what we learned from that. Its all about fun, pleasure and new discoveries at first glance. That is why we play, at least me. So priority is give that to players at first, money and demand for coins will come later.

HYPER already supports most of these games, and in fact GP supports quite a lot of them too.

Soon I will start posting regular GP updates as the ecosystem is much larger and more exciting than it first appears.

Also, while I LOVE Dragon Knight, the economy is not structured in a way to give HYPER and GP a huge in-game value, whereas Inkhascape is designed specifically to create a huge place for GP in its economy, and supports FULL GP integration, and is also in full 3D.

It's still very early days for GP it's exciting times.

I appreciate what you're saying and of course there are always variables.  I'm working on the assumption that Inkhascape will be developed continuously (based on the dev seeming very motivated, with the caveat that, as a dev myself, I know motivation can wax and wane, and real life issues often get in the way), but I think comparing it to DKV is a little unbalanced.  While I have enjoyed playing DKV and written a couple of quests for that, the game world and way it's all set up does not lend itself to immersive gameplay and exploration.  Essentially you're spending most of your time grinding levels or performing very repetitive actions.  Even the quests are merely to read and get stuff, you basically only have to visit each location to forward the quest.

Inkhascape seems a very different beast, which if (well developed and with an active community) can offer a vast living, breathing world to explore - it's like a detailed full colour painting compared to a basic pencil sketch in terms of how it shapes up to DKV.  (No offence to DKV or Anarchist, but it's just not designed to be a full, immersive RPG experience.)

At the end of the day this is all conjecture and we'll just have to wait to see how things pan out.  I just have a good feeling about Inkhascape and its potential impact on the GP infrastructure.  But I do appreciate that I could be completely wrong!

People who play games rarely think what goes on into making one function to an acceptable degree, the developers are really not even main cost of the big games on the market, the marketing and publishers take most of the top line sales figures. Steam offers indie devs a way to make money without selling their souls, but Steam is now really bloated and a money making machine for Gabe without any real new development in years.

Think what games that came out of nowhere to have millions of players would achieve having crypto integration, most probably one they own ofc .. but someone has to make it. For the new game developers growing up now, crypto will be a given in a few years time, just like how mobile and internet games are now. As city populations grow and more devices people have and less physical work, the gaming industry is barely getting started.

Without the need for publishers for small studios, more will actually become game devs. == speaking of small studios and no publishers, everyone know about Star Citizen? $100mil crowdfunded Chris Roberts (Wing Commander) space .. thing game. He wanted to fund $2mil to show publishers there is a space sim demand and get $18mil to make a $20mil game, which ballooned to the biggest baddest game anyone is making right now or ever attempted. /// Why? He targeted the right people at the right time with the right idea.
