price of btc is important for those people who is using them for buying or selling something, but for me price didnot matter greatly, because i cannot use them for daily life, i am just earning them and keeping for future.
lol do you think you keep for the future, for What ? everyone keep and hold bitcoin for the future only for a higher price. it proves that you really need the price mate the price is very important for the future of bitcoin you didnot understand me man, i said that for me and others like me, now price doesnot matter, because we are just earning btc and keeping it, we know that after price will increase soon or late and we are waiting, but now price changing by several $ doesnot matter for us |

It matters of course. If it has a high value than you can earn some more money with it and that will be so good.
And if it is low than you just have to hold it.
Of course it matter and I may add that a slight increase in bitcoin even 0.125 its more than fifty dollar in our current exchange rate.Its so expensive and same also when its fluctuates or dip, its also a substantial loss in dollars  you are correct, by increasing the price of bitcoin, we become more and more making money from bitcoin, that's why the price is very perting, besides the price of bitcoin also symbolizes the quality of bitcoin |

If I answer you no then I'll be lying. Even though my hope is for us to see 1 btc equivalent to 1 btc some day with the price of fiat mean nothing to us, the current movement of the price still gives us the indication in how well accepted btc is and its demand. I do agree with your reasoning but until the I will still closely follow the btc price movement.
i agree with you, price now is important because we will see how bitcoin healthy is, how it is accepted in world and so on, if people will sue bitcoin instead of other currencies, then price won't matter anymore, but for now price of bitcoin means a lot for us |

Price definitely matters as speculation is the first and right now most important network effect.
I'm pretty sure if the price would be stable, no increase or decrease, many people would leave this ship immediately because a majority is here for making profits.

Yes the most people that invested in bitcoins are here to profit but would be amazing to mine a bitcoin knowing it would be worthing 800 or 1000 dollars? Soo in this case everybody would be mining the coins ,and others just earning them on the signatures or others free ways.

I think the most important thing about bitcoin is the price and that is the reason I am using it and investing my money into it as value keeps on fluctuating that allows me to make quick profits in short term.
Sure the price is atracting more and more people into bitcoin but isnt only those bitcoin,low fees and instant transactions and a no limit of how much money you can moove,and the big thing his you dont need to ask to the bank when you can get your money. It matters of course. Other wise nobody want Bitcoin so it the value is really important to all of us. Because we can earn some money with it and that will be very good. And you can also buy some things with it. So that is good. |

It matters for miners, yes. If it wasn't attractive, people wouldn't mine it. If people stopped mined it, there would be 2 scenarios.
Either bitcoin would die (hard to believe this one although), or scenario #2 wealthy people would accumulate more and do their thing...

Price over technology.  That's people want. Bitcoin was created because of fiat money transaction really sucks at some point. But with the price? It's has only a mid percentage of bitcoin technology part in a whole. |

people will use bitcoin whether the price is low or high. it's a currency and an investment tool in one. just look at the early days when bitcoin was only worth around $1 per coin. there is no real difference with how the market and the people were using bitcoin back then and today. the only difference is that the price right now is much higher than when it was worth a few bucks. |

Of course bitcoin price is important but it is not as significant as economic newbies and people outside bitcoin community might think.
Basically what people think is: higher price=better technology, important and secure asset which can't fail. But there there are some advantages of lower price as well:
1. Lower price is good for people who want to invest in bitcoin for the first time, lower price is like promotional price for them.
2. More Bitcoin acceptance and bitcoin commerce does cause price to drop.
3. High bitcoin price is usually a bubble, we need to market to naturally achieve that high price.

But there are people who are like gavin, who gave away 10k btc at one point in time to spread the decentralization, which he could of held. So to some people its being more of a bigger advocate to bitcoin and the pioneers. |

If the bitcoin price would become stable and making all get some kind of dividends from it,would be great to buy anything with bitcoin worthing 1 dollars,the history of pizza and many others that are on history of bitcoin biggest trades ever.Lower value mainstream maybe already bigger value deeply investment and more investors,in the end the value matters for all besides being a currency sure all like to sleep and wake up with more 10 dollars or even 5 bucks in value.
