Sorry about that! That brief downtime was a moneypot.com issue caused by what appears to have been an accidental DoS by one our API users. I'm putting a fix in right now to prevent (that particular) thing from happening again =)

Weird. Just tried the site on 2 devices, and I can't do anything. It's not even showing the other bets from others, my history, etc. On none of my devices can I get it to load properly

Everything working fine on my end. It could be either connection issue or the last update that pushes something wrong on your end. Did your account got automatically logged out ? If not then I suggest you to try logging it out and logging it in again ( sometimes this do the trick though)

Well I dont know if this is the cause but alternatively you can use https://betterbets.io/app/game/dice/# to use the old UI ( this barely consume large bandwith ) because sometimes the new UI is harder to load if you got a bad connection . Also once you load the page, try to click to any other tabs aside from the "all bets tab" and see if that did the trick ( if you got a bad connection, that could be the issue though )

Cleared cache, no luck. I can view my balance (faucet, deposit, withdraw buttons do nothing). I can view plinko multipliers but can't bet. I can view total bets/cashback/etc. for everyone but no bets (including my own)... I can view tickets but can't see my user settings...

And I've relogged twice. Nothing is changing.

PC and mobile are both affected. What I found is that if I leave the page up for about 5 minutes, it will finally sync with the site and load the bets and start showing everything. As soon as I refresh the page/close and reopen it/load it on another device, it goes back to the blank information and takes 5 minutes to sync up again.

Yeah, I see what's happening. Our MySql server is freaking out over pulling values from the 40+M rows bets tables. I know how to fix this, but it may take a day or two.

There is a performance issue, but I've never seen it take 5 min. Not sure why it would take that long for you, it usually goes quite rapidly for me; for some reason the performance you're seeing seems to be at the really bad end of the spectrum.

I had checked BCT before trying the site again today. Loaded up the site a minute or so ago and it's quick again. Maybe there was just high activity at the time, and that was causing issues for my end, or it could be location-based or something.

Well, MySql does index dives occasionally ... this means that it analyzes table data to ensure that index data is still correct; if it isn't, the index is updated. If you're unlucky enough to try to load the page right around the index dive time, you might see pretty bad performance for a few minutes because it's crunching through 40M rows on multiple indexes.

Glad to see your situation has normalized again; I'll still work on improving things, but at least there's not rush to it now.

There's still some issues, likely due to MP. My bet speed is less than 2 per second (showing up as 1.4/s) and I get nothing but CloudFlare errors on MoneyPot's site now (the one where it says the CF servers are up but MP's server is down).

This leads to a question... if MP is down, how are the bets handled in terms of payouts and such from BB's side? It seems like you wouldn't be able to connect with their API.

Just took some screenshots of the "All Bets" tab to see if it's just me, and I'm not seeing anyone above 1-1.5 bets per second right now. There are even a lot of seconds where NO bets are going through... like you'll see the bets go from 1:30:05 to 1:30:07, without skipping sequence.

Yeah, looking forward to things working well again. I was being spoiled by the 3/s I was getting last night. Now I'm at 0.7/s and still dropping slowly.

Yeah, sorry. The issues are on MoneyPot's side. The fix we put in place did it's job, but they've switched the vector a little. Working on another fix, shouldn't be much longer I hope.

I think something that would be of huge benefit would be a header bar on each site MP supports that you, as the MP admin, can add important messages to. In this case, for example, it would have something about the delay being a known issue and a fix being in the works. A lot of players don't visit the forums often, and even those that do miss out on a lot of important messages. This leads people to leaving sites -- especially newer ones that are referred from other sites. A header bar would encapsulate all players, and would be a great solution.

Agree. We actually do have a notification system, but during the latest attack on the webserver almost every request was timing out so it wasn't particularly useful. Maybe a twitter or status.moneypot.com would be more suitable

Twitter isn't used too often by people, but a great solution would be to use a header on each site that pulls important notices from Twitter. That gives a bigger failsafe, IMO, in that it's on each site AND it's using Twitter's backbone to display it.
