I think segwit is now running on testnet so release imminent yes?

We are near the final stages now unless something else goes wrong. We were almost there before this until bugs started cropping up.

Unlike the last lot we are getting all the nescessary technical stuff done.We could do with a bit more community support though. If people who hold the coin do nothing then they don't have any right to complain really.

It'd be good to know some of the things needing done. I think a lot of us are just holding because that's the most sensible thing to do right now.

We all want to see XBC succeed, it there are jobs that need done there's, I think, a pretty good skill set here?

Just need to know what needs done, as I totally understand if you're just a small team there's a lot of work.

I'd say even a few regular tweets in the right direction or the odd pm to any services people would like to see us on such as shapeshift, changelly etc would be agreat help. The larger the voice we have the more chances of being heard by these people.

Peter is fininshing up a few things on feathercoin for the next few days and then will join mammix to finalise the Bitcoin Plus release, basically run a testnet to make sure everything works as expected with SegWit enabled with 0.7 and 0.13.

Now that the codebase will be more in line with bitcoin we can keep up to date with latest bitcoin developments. We already are looking at something that can add further value to XBC codebase when we move on to the next stage.

A nice press release to announce all of the upgrades being implemented into Bitcoin Plus would do wonders. I’ll look into it.

It’s been great to watch Bitcoin Plus succeed on its on merits the last 16 months. I think the next press release will officially seal the deal.

It’s unbelievable that Bitcoin Plus proof of stake totally eliminates the mining electricity environment problem that Bitcoin has which might crash and burn with all the electricity being used. Just use Bitcoin Plus and you won’t have that problem. Problem solved.

It's taken a lot longer to get this far with recent work than we had envisioned but hopefully things will finalise without anymore issues.

Bitcoin Plus is very undervalued, it has been performing very well in the past few months.
But this coin needs pumps, dumps and good news, when the calm coin is not interesting to users.

The only thing we are interested in is development. How the coin performs on exchanges has nothing got to do with us whatsoever.People are free to buy it sell it or do whatever they want with it.

There is good news coming soon as in very soon.

I am also very happy that success has come to BitcoinPlus. But in my opinion, do not stop there,. The project needs to continually improve the technology to make new breakthroughs to be able to assert its place in this constantly evolving cryptographic market.

Will the Tor feature stays natively integrated in the upcoming Segwit wallet?  There was a debate around the feasibility of keeping this wallet option with the coming upgrades.

I just had an idea that I want to share about this.  What about implementing Dandelion technology in the wallet?  I think it's relatively straightforward to implement, and with that you don't even need Tor to obfuscate the IP address associated with a transaction.

In addition to that, I suggest the Bitcoin Plus project would benefit tremendously by adding more privacy features in its future development, beyond IP address obfuscation.

The native Tor wallet is what caused most of the complications at the early stage when trying to integrate it into each part. There have been many BIPs and a lot of refactoring since we even decided to go ahead without this feature. You can still use an external client but the native integration has been removed due to too many conflicts and we would never get finished due to the amount of stages we have come through. We had the ability to use the old client with the integrated wallet up to a late stage but then it began to look like this was not going to with risk of tx failure. You will see all these changes when the repo is pushed onto github and made public.

We are already looking at this among other things and these things are now an option due to the more vanilla type codebase we have achieved. There were a lot of overly complicated and sometimes unnescessary things thrown into what we were using and this is why we had to start from the beginning trying to hold onto what we had but this is also where we miscalculated the amount of work involved to be in a position to signal for segwit.
