When we are out of testnet and push the updated client to the public repo we will provide a link for download.Until then staking will carry on as normal in the current client.Nothing is affected until we pass the stage where old clients no longer stake but the new client will be ready by then.

I don't have date or time yet only advice that we are looking at having it finished inside Q1 but hopefully the earlier part of that timeline.If we had a plain vanilla codebase it would be done and dusted by now but with native Tor and the P2P mesaging we were running into some issues on each part/BIP etc and having to rollback when things didn't work as they should.Until everything works on testnet it cannot be released.After ripping out the native proxy things are moving more smoothly but at the final stages we are now having some difficulties with the messaging.

It already has a 60 second blocktime using only 1.5 MB blocksize but we are also now looking at getting segwit activated to compliment this.Currently it has a hard coded native Tor proxy along with P2P messaging.

What are the advantages in less technical terms?

20% PoS while coins are in your wallet.We are not a bitcoin fork.Completely separate blockchain,ledger.Codebase is similiar in some parts but we are proof of stake versus proof of work.Current coins in circulation is just over 100k and total estimated coins projected to be only 1 million versus 21 million.
