HedgeCoin A tribute to X13 algo, MaruCoin and Darkcoin BASIC SPECS OF THE COINKGW + DGWThis coin combines Kimoto's Gravity Well and Darkcoins Gravity Wave, Darkcoin Release. DGW starts from Block 140. Automatic CheckpointingProtects against 51% attacks, broadcasts the checkpoints around the notes, its a "self healing" network - not dev intervention is needed. Time Warp ResistantWe've already included the Time Warp Limitiation. Blocks submitted more than 15 minutes outside of the blockchain's time will be rejected and other nodes cannot affect blockchain time by more than 14 minutes. DNS Seed NodesWe have multiple DNS Seed Nodes running - your wallets should always sync up without the need for adding nodes by hand. NumbersBased on Darkcoins payout scheme, early adopters/miners of this coin profit most - Ticker updated to HEDG
- 180 seconds Blocktime
- Block reward is controlled by: 444444444/(((Difficulty+2600)/9)^2) starting from block 2000.
Before Block 2000, reward is higher. Start mining as fast as you can ! - Est Max. 33M coins
NOTE: Throwing huge hashes in the beginning will give a lot of rejects due to difficulty WalletsFAQQ: What about the 2.5% forced block reward to the dev? The original source held a forced 2.5% of the block rewards towards the dev. (aka 'charity fund') HedgeCoin removed this feature. There is no charity % for the block rewards.Q: How much is the premine and how will you spend it? Block 1 has a 2% premine for funding the developement and promo campaings. The premine address is HP4guzc2jcsaWpj7t53KDcdCt2MTbiq5zEQ: So you just cloned the whole thing, and you took the logo to? No. The logo has been redesigned to look more agressive. This is our way to honour MaruCoin. Rebranding of the logo will happen in the near future. The code has been examined thoroughly, and many modifications have been made to the original code.Q: Why should i even mine this shit? If you have to ask yourself that question, you most likely got locked up during a few years in outer space. It's also possible that you just got into crypto and never heard about MaruCoin / DarkcoinQ: Why the name HedgeCoin? HedgeCoin is a subtle reference to the original coin, who's logo was a hedgehog. On of our great roadmap features is the HedgeFund. More info about this soon.★★★ Premine update ★★★ Following to our HedgeFunds whitepaper, 500.000 HEDG will be moved to the funds. The remaining premined coins will be destroyed.Roadmap

Yup. Ninja launch is a scammer's technique especially when the first few blocks are large reward. Its so obvious they will dump the instamine and then later the premine.

Yup. Ninja launch is a scammer's technique especially when the first few blocks are large reward. Its so obvious they will dump the instamine and then later the premine. The reward scheme is the same as MaruCoin. The explaination for that is "Block reward is controlled by: 444444444/(((Difficulty+2600)/9)^2) starting from block 2000, we expect CPU's before Block 2000, so reward is higher" Since MaruCoin was the FIRST x13 coins, mining with a GPU was out of the question. Now this implentation makes sure even CPU's and smaller GPU's can profit from the first few blocks. Block reward is controlled by: 444444444/(((Difficulty+2600)/9)^2) starting from block 2000 Do you even get this part of the code?

This is not correct, the code which would do this is commented out in the source, nothing is being sent to a development fund or so.

It looks like something is wrong with the rewards
To much hashrate at once, making rewards drop like crazy. That was the whole incentive of the code. Kimoto's Gravity Well + Darkcoins Gravity Wave + diff dependant block rewards. Keep on mining, rewards will get back up again. if(nHeight == 1) {nSubsidy = 660000;} // 2% premine else if(nHeight >= 2000) { if((nHeight >= 7000 && dDiff > 75) || nHeight >= 15000) { // GPU/ASIC difficulty calc // 2222222/(((x+2600)/9)^2) nSubsidy = (44444444.0 / (pow((dDiff+2600.0)/9.0,2.0))); if (nSubsidy > 25) nSubsidy = 55; if (nSubsidy < 5) nSubsidy = 15; } else { // CPU mining calc nSubsidy = (22222.0 / (pow((dDiff+51.0)/6.0,2.0))); if (nSubsidy > 500) nSubsidy = 500; if (nSubsidy < 25) nSubsidy = 25; } } else { nSubsidy = (2222.0 / (pow((dDiff+1.0),2.0))); <- NOW if (nSubsidy > 500) nSubsidy = 500; if (nSubsidy < 1) nSubsidy = 1; } People, this is a real coin with a real algorithm, not some 2day PoW shit coin. THE BLOCK REWARDS ARE DEPENDANT ON THE DIFFICULTY

If you mine with the integrated miner, yes, but this is not valid for stratum/getwork mining, look at the pools blocks.

That would make 0 difference to the algorithm. We could restart it 50x and more, block reward is based on difficulty and difficulty is based on hashrate. No pain no gain. If you cant handle to mine this coin, then leave

I think this coin should be restarted.
That would make 0 difference to the algorithm. We could restart it 50x and more, block reward is based on difficulty and difficulty is based on hashrate. No pain no gain. If you cant handle to mine this coin, then leave No pain no gain. If you cant handle to mine this coin, then leave Nice work Dev, real smooth operator. www.youtube.com/watch?v=4TYv2PhG89A

if you dont restart all your charity donations are buggered which voids the reason behind the coin,
Guess you got all or most of them 500 block rewards lol
50 x 500 = ? then allow pools to join at 1 coin per block,

Limited hashrate. Finally a nice coin It's like minerals. Yes. Until block 2000 the minimum reward is 1 EDGE depending on difficulty. nSubsidy = (2222.0 / (pow((dDiff+1.0),2.0))); if (nSubsidy > 500) nSubsidy = 500; if (nSubsidy < 1) nSubsidy = 1; The maximum was 500. Be glad we putted minimum EDGE to 1 instead of letting it drop to almost nothing The faster block 2000 is reached, the faster everybody will profit from bigger rewards. Mining like it once was...

Be sure to be there on block 2000 before missing our the bigger rewards again. When solo mining the test chain, every block up to 850 gave me a 500 rewards. Reward is totaly dependend on network difficulty and nobody can forecast the amount of hashrate throwed at a coin. If nobody mined it, you could have gotten 500 block rewards to. If fewer hashrate was throwed, it might have kept on going up to block 500 on high rewards. But, it's totaly random thus fair.

MaruCoin had a 2.5% forced donation. That makes it a 2.5% premined coin. Wait for the HedgeFund whitepaper to apear before judging the premine please. Address is public, so everybody can check it at anytime.

No, nobody is mining because we are used on getting 1/2 day PoW super charged coins made for pumping and dumping. Persistence is the key. Slow growth is what makes a coin more wanted and valuable. This coin is made for years to come, not to pump-dump in a 14 day time span.

High staking, staking on Pi's.. who do you think started all of this? Anyway, just don't disappoint me and bounce after you dump ;p Build some volume on these markets so we can move you guys to BTC and LTC right away

It's absolutely based on network difficulty, so keep on mining, you might hit some higher reward blocks.

what is the max coin supply
~33.000.000 but a loooooong way from mining the entire supply so its gonna be a loooong mine with a high cost n 33m coin supply, better wait for a bigger reward i guess Rewards are variable. Only before block 7000 is the max reward 500 So yes, you could wait. But the max reward will be way lower on higher blocks, while the min reward will be 15. It's about making your own decisions.

Exchanges are the least of my concerns. In my opinion, having exchanges to soon is only good to kill your coin. So if any exchange wants to list HedgeCoin, fine. But i won't be asking them to list it. This coin has other and more purposes then to dump/sell against BTC.

Hi,
Wondering what will be the price of Hedge in it's start. Some people say that 0.001 btc is good for the beginning. My second question is about the mining. How long will be that? 5 years?

So let me get this straight.
About 25k got mined in the first few blocks. Current reward is around ~2
So renting a rig for this coin is far from profitable since the amount of coins released overpowers the amount of coins mineable right?
Conclusion; People will stop rentig rigs, and mine this one with the cpu/gpu if i got this right?

That is the purpose yes. Those early blocks prevent the exchange prices to rise to a level where mining because profitable using rented rigs. Since their are enough coins available, the current reward will never get high enough at an exchange to cover the ~2 rewards/block vs rental price. All these steps and details are explained in the whitepaper that will be online in the next days to come.

All those questions are out of my range. Exchange price are not my priority. It might be 0.001, it might be 0.0000001. I dont really care. I dont want HedgeCoin to be compared to $$$$. The coin has it's own purposes that you will discover once the HedgeFund is online. Mining duration depends on the reward system. Roughly 33m coins will be mined. I HOPE we can mine it for at least 5 years to come.

I like the cut of your jib but I must confess I find your choice to use the ticker "EDGE" instead of "HEDGE" to be a bit odd, considering the first edgecoin was an ipo scam and the second was released just a few days ago and is still mining.

I am unaware of that matter. The first choice was "HEDGE", but that gives a 5 letter ticker. This might cause issues on older platforms/exchanges/pools/.... So i went to the 4 letter EDGE. I might update it to "HEDG" if the community asks for it.

So at some point mining with a gpu will actually be worth it?

But i assume that rentig is far from profitable, and the pools hashrates seem to support my opinion. If that was the mission for this coin, it is a big success in creating an anti-rental coin

Make sure to build leveldb first. You also need to link your libs since the Qt.pro file on github does not includes them.

It is needed to give the coin some time to grow. First day dumps are very bad for any coin, so this minimizes that factor and gives us the time to launch all features

Good! Those miners will miss the bigger rewards then, giving higher rewards to smaller miners. I expect a huge raise in hashrate at block 2000 and 7000

I can only assume those are the first solominers before the pool got launched. I've noticed this one to. The top wallets are the premine, i suppose 2 pools, and the 7500 is the block explorer bounty. I've seen your hashrate from the beginning at suprnova, thank you for your intrest in HedgeCoin. I do hope you catched some of the high reward blocks!

Q: Why should i even mine this shit?
If you have to ask yourself that question, you most likely got locked up during a few years in outer space. It's also possible that you just got into crypto and never heard about MaruCoin / DarkcoinOke so you put an question + a answer.. But can u give a answer on the question now? I know darkcoin and marucoin, and this should be a rip off from those 2 proven coins. 1. this coin is not proven 2. not 1 feature from darkcoin is inside this coin 3. look at promissing coins, the first days after launch the net hash speed is freaky high.. this coin got 23 miners in total, and yeah they are all on suprnova.. That = no interest, darkcoin = interest, marucoin = nothing I dont want to fud or something, i also point 1 GPU to suprnova, so yeah i'm 1 of the 23 miners... But u ask questions and put answers, but the answers has nothing to do with the question.. So thats a little bit weird.. So add to ur OP why to mine this coin, and not a proven coin or promissing new coins ( because there are many more other coins launching the last days what got many crazy good stuff inside at launch already and your coin have nothing.. To say that people need to get locked up if they dont know darkcoin has nothing to do with this coin.. Anyway darkcoin is even doing it more worse every day, but darkcoin got good stuff active, and this coin don't.. ) Edit: i quit. good luck for the miners

Anyway darkcoin is even doing it more worse every day, but darkcoin got good stuff active, and this coin don't.. )
1: No coin has ever been proven in the first day after a launch. We will need to prove ourselfes, and building trust takes time. 2: We implented Darkcoins Gravity Wave and sourcewise other details 3: The reward system is ment to keep high hashes out to prevent instant dumpings at exchanges. We preffer to work with ~30 miners who support our coin, rather then having 500 rentals who dump their coins for a small profit. The real question is why people preffer coins with insane hashspeed and instant market listings instead of coins that takes the time to grow. Since those coins started launching back in summer '14, crypto got a nasty beating and is most likely never to recover from it. None of the trusted coins that got out since '12 ever had such insane launches, they all shared the same common thing: Steady growth.

I wonder when the miners (kilo17) with the too high hashrates leave. There is nothing to earn for them this way.

I have lowered my hash rate several times, everytime the rewards increase someone rents a bunch of hash and kills it-- so I think it is better to keep it like it is, I have no intentions of dumping my coins, but I bet the person that comes in and screws up the difficulty when I lower the hash rate is not planning on keeping his.... If you would like to discuss what the best way to handle that is, I would be more inclined to discuss it without your insulting posts in large print cheers....

Renting more hash gives me less coins, retard. Why would I pay to get less?
your attitude is ridiculous and you're a lot less right than you think you are. at the end of the day we all get the same reward and the biggest miner gets the biggest piece. if the coin ever becomes worth anything, that makes him the winner. also for all you know he's playing you and he got 10-20 of the solo blocks and is running the reward down for everyone else. not likely but who knows.

This may seem like an ignorant question but the block reward is "controlled by" that equation, but it is not that equation, correct?
example-- if the difficulty is 20 then that equation would be
(20+2600/9)^2 = 84,745.6787
444,444,444/84,745.6787 = 5244.45
I assume that will not be the block reward itself so I am wondering how that relates to the block reward
- from page 2 I think it would be 55 or 15 but I am not a coder by any means
thanks in advance

Right now the minimum reward structure is 1 HEDG The reward system after block 2000 is nSubsidy = (22222.0 / (pow((dDiff+51.0)/6.0,2.0))); if (nSubsidy > 500) nSubsidy = 500; if (nSubsidy < 25) nSubsidy = 25;
So the minimum reward is 25 HEDG. The max is 500 HEDG. From block 7000 the reward is nSubsidy = (44444444.0 / (pow((dDiff+2600.0)/9.0,2.0))); if (nSubsidy > 25) nSubsidy = 55; if (nSubsidy < 5) nSubsidy = 15;
So minimum drops to 15 HEDG, and maximum drops to 55 HEDG.

Hedgecoin has a maximum theoretical limit of approximately ~21 million coins by 2050 with a slow issuing curve. However, the real number of coins can be reduced to something close to 15million due to quick drops on the rewards. The theoretical maximum coins is rated at 33m

Having doubts about implenting superblocks as we speak What does the community thinks about the superblocks? Yes or no? I think it is a bad idea to have super blocks. It is NEVER truly random and gets figured out, then you have big hash come in for the super blocks and mess up the difficulty. I like it the way it is-- with a Mac Wallet of course

Having doubts about implenting superblocks as we speak What does the community thinks about the superblocks? Yes or no? No to superblocks. Superblocks I think are only good if pool mining is impossible. With pool mining the superblocks would just increase the average blockreward by a calculable percentage because every block is being shared by most miners so the variance behind superblocks would be negated. In case if poolmining would be impossible then superblocks would be truly distributed to 1 lucky person per superblock.

I must agree with the reply's regarding the superblocks. The idea of implenting them was to compensate the low rewards, but those recovered after block 2000.
NO for superblocks.

What's with all the diff files in the windows zip ?
Pretty much every other coin I've played with has a single executable that starts / runs the wallet or an executable like BTC that installs a wallet that can then be run.

The windows wallet should run without those extra dll files. It might give an error at first launch, but it should run. Those added dll files are to ensure that every windows user can run the wallet, even on older platforms prior to Windows 7. Think about virtual machines etc.

You can never be assured from that factor. Even well known fully doxed people managed to disappear (paycoin?) We will however reveal team information. We have solid plans and are all in crypto since and before '12. So we dont feel the need to dissapear. We want to be part of the scene and are here to stay.

I read the whitepaper. You've got a noble goal. I think it's quite similar to what CoinShield (now Niro) had planned to do-- you should contact Viz/Videlicet to see if he'll share some of his groundwork with you. Might save you some development and implementation planning.
When you guys announce a buyback, there will be some additional market effects to consider. I'll use your example of bleedcoin.
When you announce the bleedcoin buyback, during the ensuing three weeks, you'll create a pump/arbitrage situation on bleedcoin where people will continue to mine/buy it up to the buyback price plus a risk premium based on how likely the market thinks it will be that you'll successfully revive the coin and post it for sale at its proposed value-add release.
Don't forget that many older altcoins had their distribution narrowed as their popularity died out. Small holders of bleedcoin will dump into 1-sat bids and over months it may have become highly overweighted to a single holder who has accumulated more than half the supply at negligible expense. You may get into a situation where people first buy out most of the total supply of bleedcoin and then approach you from multiple "community" accounts to run a buyback, and there's very little extra steedcoin supply remaining on exchanges. Thus the price and interest will be overstated with an exit strategy of dumping against HEDG, which could affect other truly community-held altcoins' communities' willingness to participate in the program if there's no perceived value gained by a swap to HEDG.
Of course none of this may happen at all, but anytime you offer a fixed price and profit proposition in an open marketplace where you're doing the work to build that added value, you WILL get people piggybacking the work you're doing and attempting to front-run the profitable edge.

Thank you for your very constructive feedback on our whitepaper. Additional securities will be taken to prevent piggybacking, but we're very aware that this might occur. We will get more in detail on this matter once all details have been thoroughly investigated. Since i'm on mobile, i'll get back to this later today. the SWAP system of the fund is similar to a an ICO but without using BTC am i wrong?
How on earth do you find a relation between ICO and our plans? We are strongly against any ICO of any kind.

I'm not speaking about the fake ICO of some altcoin.. 1)but with an ICO i collect money to sustain mine project and have a back-up value for my new coin (in BTC) and i give in exchange some of the new coin 1b)you're doing the same collecting/swaping other altcoin and take them as a backup for the value of the new coin i'm not saying that it is a scam ICO, but the situation is similar

We give money to sustain (revive) a (close to) valueless coin. When we successfully revived the coin, and the coin has market value again, we trade back our HEDG against that coin at a specified maximum profit percentage, so holder of the revived coin dont have to pay as much as the market value. In order, we get more HEDGE then initially invested in the revival of that coin, taking that extra HEDGE with us for the next project. So rather than having HEDGE compared by its BTC value, targeted coins will be valued by their HEDGE value

Also, hedge as it stands wont work, don't feel like playing with DLL's so probably wont end up using this unless there's a wallet like all the others I've use which is 1 file ready to go right out of the zip that is either an executable that starts running the wallet or one that installs it like BTC and some others.

To be decided...

Why should you be playing with DLL files? Just leave them in the same folder as the QT wallet. There is no reason to touch them or to play with them. If your system has the needed assemblies installed already, you can trash them. EDIT: I see what you mean. Next wallet update we will do a static build.

I just started with this coin. Not yet....dang it. A person on yobit had me look at it. Not positive how it works. You boost busted coins in exchange for some of theirs or something like that? Hi, thank you for looking at HedgeCoin and HedgeFunds. The goal is to 'hedge' our investings. We give older coins, who still have active community, members, miners, traders, the opportunity to swap their coins against HEDGE for a certain amount of time. This will not be obligated for the coins holders, but it's an option they can choose. After the swapping time EquiTeam (derived from Equifinality, not related to EQM!!) will start the official takeover of the coin. During or after the promo campaings, and reboosting the market and activity, all users who swapped against HEDGE will get the opportunity to buy back their old coins at a fixed profit margin of maximum 25%. Meaning: If markets of their coin went up with 300%, they can rebuy those coins at 25% instead of the 300% market went up. If HEDGE is more profitable for them to keep, they are free to do so, since we 'hedged' our investings in the older, reboosted coin. The whole idea of an hedgefund is to achieve a positive return on investment regardless of whether markets are rising or falling. Whatever markets will do, we always get a positive return on our initial investement without having to take something from the users behind it. Even having HEDGE as a proven coin, or getting higher market value is a positive return. It's not always about the money * Equifinality for those who still not know what this means: Wikipedia

@hedgehogcoin I've been reading this forum thread as well as the white-paper. It would seem you have a lot of nay-sayers out there...but as most, I don't pay much attention to the cry-babies. So my questions: I only have 2.5Mh to throw in here for mining speed, is this coin one that should be solo-mined or better off /w going the pool route? Why hang onto this coin? What about the more powerful miners, that got in quick, and get out the same way by dumping? How does this coin intend to 'hedge' against this threat? Is this going to be a long term investment to hang onto? Are you devs really going to stay with this? I know there are no guarantees, but why should I undertake being a part of this as a solo, small-time, individual miner, noob trader, with an interest in the altcoin world? Doesn't the little guy usually get pushed out? What qualifies you to be an adviser/dev/advocate for this coin? I'll think of more later- Thank You for your reply and time, edit; just looked @ suprnova...WOW..over 500Mh, /w only 39 workers. This ain't no solo coin!!

Since the reward structure is based on Moore's Law, rewards are calculated by difficulty factor. Meaning, if you throw in huge hashes, the rewards drop to the absolute minimum in no time. Somebody that will have to pay for a rental miner for example, will see rewards drop, making it less profitable for them to mine at current market prices, preventing dumpings. However, we did not foresee that everybody would be smart enough to mine this coin with their GPU, keeping the current rewards at a level that is profitable to dump. After block 7000 the reward structure changes again, where max HEDGE = 55 and minimum HEDGE = 15 if((nHeight >= 7000 && dDiff > 75) || nHeight >= 15000) { // GPU/ASIC difficulty calc // 2222222/(((x+2600)/9)^2) nSubsidy = (44444444.0 / (pow((dDiff+2600.0)/9.0,2.0))); if (nSubsidy > 25) nSubsidy = 55; if (nSubsidy < 5) nSubsidy = 15; } Since there is not really that much difference to the min/max rewards, we might start to see big hashes jumping in. But until now, we 'hedged' against that factor, where the pool's workers are the proof.
Doesn't the little guy usually get pushed out? What qualifies you to be an adviser/dev/advocate for this coin?
We are here to stay. See the anwser above to see that the little guy pushed the big players out of this coin edit 2; who's this...HNZJVhdTRHrsrb3nXXYxJaG1EvuoKRqcDU...@ 64.4x%?

I see one big problem in the roadmap... infact i see a few A takeover of a existing coin is not really interesting, the only way that HEDG can benefit from it, is when they take over a coin on a major exchange like Cryptsy. The take-over coin been removed and swapped to HEDG coins. Advantage HEDG will be listed on Cryptsy, disadvantage, i don't think that cryptsy would ever allow this kind of transaction. and just taking over a coin without able to benefit from it, is something like changing owner of a dead coin.

Compare it to BMW taking over MINI. It still had some enthousiasts, some lovers, but it was a dead brand. Look at it now. Exactly the same thing we plan on doing. Giving older coins THEIR OWN value back. Not to give it a HEDGE value/brand. We will boost up coins, revive them again, and ensure that there is a developer behind it. But the coin stays the same.

You say that the boosted coins would have a developer; are you staffed well enough to ensure this? How will said devs be paid? Are we actively pursuing coins currently and who makes the choices? Do we, coin holders, have any part in those decisions? Thank you

The developers in our team, EquiTeam, will get payed of the shares that did not get swapped back. But there i no need to think that reallife developers getting paid 50 BTC/coin or so. Those are the wages that scammers make you believe they need to earn. In reality, we take honour in what we are about to do, and that should cover most of it. EquiTeam members will select some coins, and based on community input and feedback a certain coin will be chosen. So yes, the community has an input on that decision.

From the best of what I can tell, the larger blocks were before block number 2000, Now you have to deal with the equation given in the OP: Block reward is controlled by: 444444444/(((Difficulty+2600)/9)^2) starting from block 2000. Does that help?

Looks like premine is now sitting at HEuiEdZaCpm6aAhnBqsG2bk6KJzSW8QLKm after having paid 35000 HEDG for graphics.

Also, hedge as it stands wont work, don't feel like playing with DLL's so probably wont end up using this unless there's a wallet like all the others I've use which is 1 file ready to go right out of the zip that is either an executable that starts running the wallet or one that installs it like BTC and some others.
Why should you be playing with DLL files? Just leave them in the same folder as the QT wallet. There is no reason to touch them or to play with them. If your system has the needed assemblies installed already, you can trash them. EDIT: I see what you mean. Next wallet update we will do a static build. I know it's probably only when you have significant changed to make or something but when might the next release be "considered" ? Ty.

I've been reading until my eyeballs itch. What number block does the payout drop and to what amount? Thx
From the best of what I can tell, the larger blocks were before block number 2000, Now you have to deal with the equation given in the OP: Block reward is controlled by: 444444444/(((Difficulty+2600)/9)^2) starting from block 2000. Does that help? yup....thx

From block 7000 the reward is nSubsidy = (44444444.0 / (pow((dDiff+2600.0)/9.0,2.0))); if (nSubsidy > 25) nSubsidy = 55; if (nSubsidy < 5) nSubsidy = 15;
So minimum drops to 15 HEDG, and maximum drops to 55 HEDG. This does not seem to be the case now? The correct answer is: if((nHeight >= 7000 && dDiff > 75) || nHeight >= 15000) { // GPU/ASIC difficulty calc // 2222222/(((x+2600)/9)^2) nSubsidy = (44444444.0 / (pow((dDiff+2600.0)/9.0,2.0))); if (nSubsidy > 25) nSubsidy = 55; if (nSubsidy < 5) nSubsidy = 15; } else { // CPU mining calc nSubsidy = (22222.0 / (pow((dDiff+51.0)/6.0,2.0))); if (nSubsidy > 500) nSubsidy = 500; if (nSubsidy < 25) nSubsidy = 25; } Since difficulty is so low, rewards stay at CPU mining levels. Once it goes up, it drops to GPU mining levels. Meaning, from this blocks forwards, renting huge hashes will result in very poor rewards. This coin is a people coin, best mined with single GPU/CPU.

FYI, the premine address listed in this thread is HP4guzc2jcsaWpj7t53KDcdCt2MTbiq5zE and does not actually exist.
This appears to be the address they were at: HEuiEdZaCpm6aAhnBqsG2bk6KJzSW8QLKm

O i forgot to come back to say i changed my mind and got out... this dev is completely uninterested! A few things caught my eye: Promo campaign and new logo of HedgeCoin + HedgeFunds + EquiTeam will begin 29 June ?? And he seems to type talk awfully similar to the MaruCoin dev which this is a clone of.... their story ended with a missing in action dev and a pre mine dump, now its dead. I could be wrong but think the same thing might of happened again with the ninja instamined blocks. Anyway all the best

Anyway all the best The Premine sits in these two addresses: HHiLPrFPKrfJxSMVjjFrpuGGF22Yrno1SS H8Ry86NHsaUXReMvULESGmA5s84q16raJf But I agree that the dev seems uninterested. Placing the correct premine address in the OP seems unimportant to him. SEEMS being the key word, maybe he is just slow to roll this thing out, who knows.

Yeah, I agree. But who knows. Maybe he could suddenly post again or there could be a community take over just like what happened with Rate Coin. Maybe we should have a community take over?
