First of all everything depends on age. We can start teaching kids at school, coledge and even at home using google and other stuff. Buticoin isn't that difficult.

I think letting the child understand himself or her asking about bitcoin is the right thing to introduce bitcoin to them, if we introduce them while they are not old enough it will be useless because bitcoin is not easy to understand.

For me teaching kids how bitcoin works is easy. Im a teacher so i have an experience in teaching kids. the first thing that the kids should know is what bitcoin is. and how does it work. what its value and where do they earn bitcoin. kids are the most easy to teach among the ages. right ?
then we will teach them what is the factors of bitcoin and where do earn bitcoin. first of all I will teach them faucet method. so they will be interested cause no money will came out on their pocket. then i will teach investing and trading.

That thing you are mentioning are teens and not toddlers. Teaching children is not easy, believe me, I know it. Beside the concept that you are about to inculcate into their mind is a bit complicated. I know that those teens love new things, they could really learn about it as a "subject" but when you are doing it at home, well it's different. They might think that you are forcing them to work for money.

If they don't want to know about this, I think better not to force them, they might have another forte.
Like you said yes there are so many ways with which you teach your children about what bitcoin is. Rather I suggest schools have more important role in this regard.

Teachers can teach them what bitcoin is actually and how it works generally and then as you suggested children are given such online games. This all will make a better impact on their minds about bitcoin and they will love it when they become young.

I think is not very difficult unless you want to go into technical details for which kids are not ready. Is just a question of letting them know that there is another kind of money that is not paper.

As long as they have the capability to understand it we can teach them. In fact it is more easier to teach kids today because they are more engage to technology. They are very updated to everything. What we just going to do was explain what bitcoin is and how it works. In fact most of the users now here was just a student as I see in any thread.

Is it really necessary for you to teach those kids about Bitcoin? I mean I'd rather see my kids enjoy their childhood while they can, after all they will be only kids once so why not let them enjoy it to the fullest, and when they come to an age where they're mature enough to understand this stuffs, then feel free to teach them everything.

I would be careful and might not even want to teach them because of the amount of exposure that will bring which might not be healthy to the development of a kid especially the advertisement that is being showed on faucets sites. So be careful.

You should not or rather we should not teach bitcoin to our children because that can cause them confusion due to the fact that they are still young in regards to that matter. we should leave them enjoy thier life to its fullest while they are still young . let them feel the joy of being a child because every child deserves to be happy. they can eventually be curious about it when they are already on the right age and that could be the best time to teach and educate them about bitcoin.

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/9-ways-kids-smarter-money-100050132.html

This article doesn't talk about bitcoin but it got me thinking how to get kinds interested in bitcoin within the context of appropriate money management lessons. Think of we could teach kinds about it. The growth, the adoption, the inflation and retraction. The allure of the "internet money".

...what other ideas come to mind?

Since we are now in the digital age this is a good way of using these cryptos. In this way, it becomes more sensible and the flow of knowledge is much more lighter given the fact that we are talking about kids here. Just make sure that they will have the proper guidance with this lessons for they can possibly be so interested to money that they will not prioritize their acads because of it. Proper guidance should be observed, adult assistance is a must.

Kids need a subject about Bitcoin in school. It is like a financial subject. Kids like to play. If you can teach them about Bitcoin like a gaming then they can learn about it easily.

In the process of developing children's financial businesses, we need to constantly teach him a lot of cutting-edge stuff.

If your child is less than 12 years old, they are still in the pre-operational and concrete stages of development. Their minds lack the ability to abstract and generalize, and rely more on intuitive concrete.

We can't get them to see the nature of the blockchain or bitcoin, and you can only explain the metaphor that is closest to the truth.

When the child understands the blockchain, you can easily explain bitcoin to him.

I had some inner feeling, that bitcoin and crypto generally is not suitable for kids yet..kids should had different interests than mining difficulty, finance models, PGP and inflation..Smiley

Yes I agree with you it is still not suitable for kids, instead for teenagers try to teach them so they will learn how to earn and save money. Because kids will not still understand those finances, needs and etc.

Well, basically teaching about Bitcoin you must start first at the very basic step which is explaining to them what is Bitcoin wherein you have to tell them the essence or importance of getting into Bitcoin because that was the first thing they really need to understand for you to be able to make them to have their interest on it to effectively encourage them to like Bitcoin and the other type of cryptocurrencies.

I think all the children should not be taught, but the lesson of such a free visit is needed, but any child can attend it, after having discussed with the parents whether it is necessary for him and his family or not.

i dont think so that kids can teach about bitcoin. we can introduce for them what is bitcoin but we cant teach them how to trade properly cause being wise is something that we will learn time by time. when time as passing by. it is impossible that child will become that wise at his age.

I would say teach them through songs, games or cartoons. Though that would be definitely hard.
Teach them basic economics and trading through everuday situations and slowly teach them what bitcoin is. Let them know how to be wiser in earning and spending (mostly earning) money.

Kids is just a kids and all they want is to play with their playmates, they can not be focus on bitcoin because they are nothing to think about having money at their age . We can teach them if they age is enough to learn about earning money or bitcoin.

Yes, there is no better way than using games to introduce new stuff to kids. It's important to teach kids starting today about bitcoin and other digital currencies.
Minecraft can now be used to teach children about digital currency.

It should be the same way we teach how paper money works. The only difference is the aspect of decentralization that I'm sure they will learn later about im about technical life around it. Kids know how money works, so it should be easy to explain to them that btc is just another currency.
