It is risky to let kids into Bitcoin world. Not maybe because of Bitcoin itself but soon they may get involved with illegal stuff and markets that Bitcoin is also conected to (like Darknet). And how wise is to let kids to deal with money on their own?

Well, so they don't will learn about dollar because dollar can buy crack? That's it?
Blockchain is the future, blockchain will change the world, bitcoin is the better example of this technology, why not teach your kids?
Let the kids build a new world!
I agree on you reply chief MonkeyJunk ,i think also its better to teach them now cause it will help them a lot especially now as investung also they will learn how to handle money and how to make smart investing. Kids now are very agressive and exploring things they didn't know especially now the modern technology .but Chief BingoDog i think if they got connected to darknet its so dangerous especially making transaction there , i think kids won't do a transactions on that part of internet unless they don't know that every move they do FBI is watching them .if they know the sanctions or consequences when they track they will surely be afraid off.
I disagree with you. First of all why will you teach kids first hand about a virtual money rather than the curremcy you have in your country? Teaching kids about saving first is a good idea for them to know the value of having money for emergency needs also teach kida about investing money in stocks, mutual funds which is steadier  and stable than BTC or any altcoin in circulation

Teaching kids about about is good for early, but just for the information about bitcoin. Kids are not ready for it, it's better kids play with their friends and enjoy their childhood.

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/9-ways-kids-smarter-money-100050132.html

This article doesn't talk about bitcoin but it got me thinking how to get kinds interested in bitcoin within the context of appropriate money management lessons. Think of we could teach kinds about it. The growth, the adoption, the inflation and retraction. The allure of the "internet money".

...what other ideas come to mind?
we should simply teachs to the kids about the fall amd down of price of any things in the digital market and how to make money with them with sharp use of mind at instant . if we will teach kids about a particular thing then kids will always use our lesson only for that particular thing which should not be.

I am having hard time to think about if kids do really need to learn what is bitcoin or we adults must teach them either.

Because I am thinking that teaching them new things are good so that they are going to have broad knowledge in everything. But if they are going to think about earning.

Then that is going to be a different thing now because if a kid eagerly to work at young age that is going to effect his childhood.

Playing with a faucet doesn't affect his childhood at all. There are even games for smartphones and tablets that you can install for them to play and earn Bitcoin while doing so. Not much, but just tell them that they can buy sweets or something with the earned cash and I'm sure they will instantly go play. It's fun for kids to play games, and why wouldn't they play a game while earning money too?

Maybe you should suggest to your kids to play a bitcoin app games, There are so many entertaining games that plays bitcoin, Like bitcoinaliens games. It is really fun at the same time you will have chance to earn money event if it is not a high amount. This is the best game to be suggest to kids

I think we can teach kids about it but just a little because it's way too early for them to learn about it yet it is a good start if they do know about economy I guess. We all know that as a parent it is our obligation to sustain them, give them what they are needed because they are too young for them to work to live with their own. It's better if we will wait them until they've reached their right age to live for their own.

Kids should learn the basics first, they should know what is bitcoin and their benefits in using it and it can only be done if kids are on the right age to comprehend about the idea of bitcoin, having said that we should promote to kids the best benefits of bitcoin not the negative effects like gambling.

I know there are threads here asking is gambling for kids? The obvious answer is really no. Kids should be develop as a good man in the future.

Yeah you can teach kids to earn at the same time earning and as far as I know there are some android app games that allows you to earn some satoshi's as reward if you are going to play their game. So I guess it is going to be a good way to introduce bitcoin to your kids by having fun just go to the extent that you are going to teach him to gamble.

Yeah I fully agree if you actually try to get someone learn something it's good for you also because this way you learn as well so I guess if you want to make someone learn about BTC just explain with some illustrations how BTC operate and how BTC is generated and how people send them and receive them
Then you can finalize with some knowledge about the BTC community

I am still not sure how I am going to introduce my soon to be one year old son to bitcoin, and when is the best time to do that. What I would do is make him learn money lessons little by little as he starts to know what the purpose of money really is. As a digital currency, I would only introduce bitcoin to have as online money and gradually make him understand how things work as he matures.

For sure you will love to explain that to kids because they have open minded unlike some matured people, and if they are your children they it would be easy to convince them as children to believe and follow their parents, start with the simplest explanation and everything will follow if they can easily understand.

Kids are very visually programmed they are visual learners so the best way to learn them about bitcoin is trough videos and pictures with understandable language.
Throwing wiki pages or big text at them wont work, anything visual and fun looking will work though depending on age.

Yup, it depends upon their age... But I do agree with that, tutorial videos with images is the easiest way to teach a kid... I think before we teach kids about bitcoin, we should always think about what is the purpose of teaching them about bitcoin, and is it really needed since when we teach them about bitcoin it could also means sacrificing some of part of their enjoyable hours outside.

That is the reason we must concentrate on teaching our kids about bitcoin up to their level of using money.
Kids always love buying chocolates or games, so we could explain them for many chocolates we could buy for a given money in fiats and in bitcoin payments.
Usually you could get some discounts for bitcoin payments so you can have more chocolates for bitcoin payments, that might get your child interested to ward bitcoins. Just an rough idea.

That's true... Some kids nowadays don't go outside to play...

While you're not wrong, there are some things that are beneficial when it comes to video games, while there are also detractors. For example problem-solving and attention to quickly-changing detail skills are trained, however attention span is lowered and there is less physical exercise involved.

A lot of it comes down to how active a kid wants to get, and some might need coaxing.
