You can easily demonstrate bitcoins usage to them and have th m practice over and over and I'm sure they'd know how to go about it in no time, secondly you can show them the monetary part of Bitcoin when they grow up especially when they get to their teens.
even if they are in their teen age still they do not need to know about bitcoin. because they mostly do not know about internet and therefore they cannot use bitcoin for online shopping or any other purposes. and similarly they also cannot use bitcoin for in local shops because most of the local shops are not accepting bitcoin. in fact currently we are using bitcoin mostly for investment and trading purposes.

Teaching kids about bitcoin won't be that hard since most of our new generations now are into technology especially those kids that are addicted to video games, we can start telling them that they can purchase bunch of stuffs for their video games by using bitcoin.
Agree we can say that you can buy an item using bitcoin so that they would get curious about it then start learning it , so that time if they are earning already they can use it in playing games and no need to get a money from their payments for buying those virtual goods. I actually know someone who is earning bitcoin and doing trading in the age of 14. I always make him as an example to my nephew for him to be inspired and start earning bitcoin so that he can buy the stuffs he wants. I love how we can all access bitcoin no matter the age for as long as you know how to use the technology. There are kids in China that can do programming, engineering, excel in almost every subject, and probably not have a very good childhood. Why don't you make them as an example to your nephew? One thing I know in this world, your nephew is not the same person as that 14 year old kid. He can be earning bitcoin and doing trading, but only in a low level. He might just be following the trend to the adults. He might just want to look like he's doing a good thing even when he doesn't have talent in trading at all. Kids learn in different paces. The kids in China that knows a lot of stuff in a very young age were trained ever since to become that type of worker/thinker. If you want to ruin your nephew's childhood by making him so pre-occupied with bitcoins, then go ahead. Just don't be eaten by guilt when after a decade your nephew realized how much he missed out as a kid.

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/9-ways-kids-smarter-money-100050132.htmlThis article doesn't talk about bitcoin but it got me thinking how to get kinds interested in bitcoin within the context of appropriate money management lessons. Think of we could teach kinds about it. The growth, the adoption, the inflation and retraction. The allure of the "internet money". ...what other ideas come to mind? I heard that there are some animated videos about bitcoins. We could show them those videos so that they could easily understand the concept of bitcoin.Since this generation is already familiar with technology,it would not be difficult for them to understand bitcoin.

But this should be done on the kids own personal interest, one should never be forced because each children have different abilities.

Though most of the kids nowadays can are into with technology and can easily comprehend Bitcoin as long as you choose the right words that is by one by one introducing technical terms but the thing is with those kids who are relying to their parents for money that might just say nah since there parents give them money. The tricky part really is how to make them interested so here you might start with stuffs they can buy without nagging there parents to give them some money since they already have it and much more than what there parents regularly give. The next thing would be patience since they need to take time to learn and earn a decent amount of money. But if the kid don't want to learn despite your efforts then no need to force them -- just let them be. Let them do the things that really makes them happy since when they grow up they will experience hardships in life.

Just dont force them to do things that they dont really want. Just let them enjoy being kids, its once in a lifetime experience, we cant go back being a kid so let then be. When they grow, they can start to know about it. But for now, be happy that they are still kids.

Well I think you just have to tell them that it is an internet money, And tell them that it is just similar to saving money in the piggy bank, But in this saving the money that they save could earn some profit.

I don't it's a good idea to introduce bitcoin to children. They should do something that suit their age and have positive impact towards their development, not study about some crypto. And i think bitcoin is quite hard to understand for children.
It is not a bad thing to make your children aware of the trends. The bad thing would be forcing them to do stuff that can make them earn Bitcoin at their parents gain. Kids should be aware of things and stuff that is happening, but let them have the freedom to chose on whatever they wanted to do. It's not a bad thing, but it also does not help children too much because kids need development space, we can not teach it anything about bitcoin, children need fun, entertainment and learning. Many adults to now still do not know about Bitcoin, so how the child can understand? we should let children self-study and find out, we just people who answer children's questions. Each child will have its own future and dreams, we should not influence and make their future move in the other direction

I would say it's best to teach them the same way you teach them about money. Except for the bits about security. Kids are able to pick things up quickly anyway, so it shouldn't be too hard. I agree if you want to teach kids about bitcoin you should always think and express to them bitcoin as a money because it has value and it has price so it is very important. And for me it will not be so hard to teach a kid about bitcoin because most the kids nowadays are technology inclined it means they can easily manage to adopt to a something that is spread by the internet or technology base. So for me as developed and grow they can also develop their knowledge about bitcoin and how they can earn more through it.

Kids ? We can give them introduction about bitcoin but they are still kids. When we say kids, it is 4 to 10 years old and by that age they just love to play with their friends or their gadgets and earning or joining forums maybe their are not interested. Yes, there are some matured "kids" especially those who came in other families that has a possibilities to get interested about bitcoin by just knowing that he/she can earn money through bitcoin.

I totally agree with this guy. They are still kids they don't even know there math yet, what I mean about that is t hey still need to survive pre-school and elementary before they get use to money. Right now if you introduced money to kids it would be a bad introduction to them because they will get confused rather than learn something from it. For me we can start as early as grade 4 if we want to introduce to them about money first before even introducing Bitcoin.

Kids these are so tech savvy they’re likely to discover Bitcoin on their own. But maybe expose them to it bit by bit. Make them aware of its existence and keep them interested by showing them that you can purchase things online without using cold hard cash. When they’re a bit older and grasp more concepts, teach them about finance and how money works. Or you can show them shows and videos that reference videos to show how it moving globally. Ease them into it and try not to bombard them with many info.

to me i think they have still nothing to do to know about bitcoin. although kids normally use fiat currency, but bitcoin is still not available to be use in local shops therefore, therefore they do not need to learn about bitcoin. to me when they will become grown up then they should learn about bitcoin how to use it.

Going back to the topic of this impasse, I want to say that the child needs to be taught at school and not at home, taking his childhood from him. Only a school or already a higher education institution should teach Bitcoin to students. But the fact is that our teachers do not have this education. Therefore, before you teach children, you must first teach those who will be engaged with children studying Bitcoin.
