Is Holding Bitcoin a long time good way to make money?

I don't use holding bitcoins alone to make money, I usually trade or invest in sites to make the majority of my profit. Any increase in the price of bitcoins is just extra, however if the price falls I also lose so I don't rely on it making me money.

in my opinion do not hold too long bitcoin you have. we can look for other alternatives. we can do a better investment when highly stable current bitcoin prices ..trading altcoin is one alternative to get more income.

Hodling Bitcoin is in fact the safest possible form of investing.

However, people find it to be boring in current times as the price isn't going up to the level that is satisfying people.

And yes, in times where the price is stable, people put themselves into positions where the risks are much greater.

Investing in altcoins is definitely one of them. You can get great returns from altcoin trading, but you can also end up being a bag hodler. The latter isn't exactly a good thing.

Only holding it without doing nothing for long time is not profitable unless you bought it with the lowest rate ever. It would be more profitable if you can trade it when there is a good chance to make profit. i.e when the price is suddenly down, then we can buy more btc. Sell it again when it is up. Or perhaps the more profitable activity is to trade your btc with some altcoins instead of Fiat.

The most important thing is that people only invest in Bitcoin what they can afford. For one it can be $5000, while the other sticks to $200 as their total investment money. If Bitcoin lives up to its expectations, then even "small" investments of a few hundred $ can turn into four digit amounts. Patience and dedication is what you need.

Correct, there is no point into trying to buy more bitcoin than what you need, because if you did and then there was some kind of emergency that required some of that bitcoin you will probably need to sell it regardless of the price and you could lose money.

yes but i think it depend on your interest of investment, most of the people are investing their money for long term and they do not have experience in short term investment, they consider short term investment as risky and not profitable, while the short term investors really thing about the long term investment as boring.

if you want to make money you have to either trade bitcoin or work a job to earn money/bitcoin and not just store bitcoin and sit around waiting for the price to go up. that Is not healthy.

although there is nothing wrong with an investment, especially in bitcoin but I think it is better to keep things moving. for example you can sometimes find ways to invest those bitcoin for example in trading. this way you are on top of the market and will notice if the price is going up or down and also you can profit more on what you already have.

yeah it depends on the price of bitcoin after long time of holding it.  so we cannot say that holding bitcoin is a good way to make us money because it may become a good way to lose money because it may depreciate in price value over time.  If you remember those who invested during the peak of bitcoin bubble in 2013, they are still at a lost at this moment.

Well, it depends on what you are looking for, if you are a day trader then patience is something that you need but not in large amounts since you are hoping to turn a profit in fast trades.

trading good alt project will make you a chance to grow your btc and by multiplying it you got a much better chance to earn more when the price spike to where you want to sell it.

Not necessarily. If the government bans bitcoin then how can you say with confidence the price will continue to rise ? It can easily fall if something like that happens or another hack happens.

If the government will ban bitcoin our dreams will not happen and I hope it will not ban bitcoin because has a good purpose of helping people to transact online enjoying a very cheap transaction cost, if they will do that it will only prove they are corrupt and they only protect their personal interest and not the people.

i think 3 months investment is not really a long term investment, if you really interested in long term investment then you should invest you r bitcoin for more than a year and only then you can really make a good profit.

In my understanding, any investment less than 1 year is considered as short term investment and if you are investing in short term only you will not be able to make great income because bitcoin does not work that way, if we want to have short term investment better do trading as it can give you fixed income.

Consider holding can be good but I think right now its still insecure what the bitcoin will bring in the future.
I think we could better now short invest and maybe later at the end of this year make the decision to still sell our bitcoins or go long for it.
