President Xi Jinping to Visit U.S. in September, Chinese Agency Reports

"HONG KONG — The first state visit by President Xi Jinping of China to the United States will take place in September, the state-run Xinhua news agency reported Wednesday."

China calls for new global currency

China is calling for a global currency to replace the dominant dollar, showing a growing assertiveness on revamping the world economy ahead of next week's London summit on the financial crisis.

The surprise proposal by Beijing's central bank governor reflects unease about its vast holdings of U.S. government bonds and adds to Chinese pressure to overhaul a global financial system dominated by the dollar and Western governments. Both the United States and the European Union brushed off the idea.

The world economic crisis shows the "inherent vulnerabilities and systemic risks in the existing international monetary system," Gov. Zhou Xiaochuan said in an essay released Monday by the bank. He recommended creating a currency made up of a basket of global currencies and controlled by the International Monetary Fund and said it would help "to achieve the objective of safeguarding global economic and financial stability."

Zhou did not mention the dollar by name. But in an unusual step, the essay was published in both Chinese and English, making clear it was meant for a foreign audience.

China has long been uneasy about relying on the dollar for the bulk of its trade and to store foreign reserves. Premier Wen Jiabao publicly appealed to Washington this month to avoid any response to the crisis that might weaken the dollar and the value of Beijing's estimated $1 trillion in Treasuries and other U.S. government debt.

For decades, the dollar has been the world's most widely used currency. Many governments hold a large portion of their reserves in dollars. Crude oil and many commodities are priced in dollars. Business deals around the world are done in dollars....

(CNSNews.com) - A group of government researchers working for a National Institutes of Health laboratory in Montana made “humanized mice” by implanting the mice with tissues cut from human livers and thymuses taken from babies at 17 to 22 weeks gestational age.

The researchers then published a paper describing how they constructed this particular type of “humanized” mouse, saying they hoped their description of the process would help other researchers seeking to make such mice in the future.

The same government researchers had collaborated on another journal article about the “humanized” mouse with an NIH-funded researcher at Massachusetts General Hospital--which has an ongoing federal grant that also involves humanizing mice using human fetal livers and thymuses.

The NIH could not answer some basic questions about the fetal tissue used in these research projects that U.S. taxpayers funded.

Half the Cells in This Mouse’s Brain Are Human

"...This isn’t the first so-called humanized mouse that researchers have created; it just is the most striking because it involves brain cells. There are mice that are mostly mice but that have a human immune system, for instance. Scientists are interested in creating these kind of animals because, although mice make good study animals and are close enough to humans, they aren’t a perfect match. Humanized mice close the gap a bit more and can give us better insight to human diseases like cancer, Alzheimer’s, heart disease and more.

But in creating mice that are more like us, we are blurring the line between human research and mouse research. These mice with "half-human" brains are still very much mice. There are also plans to create rats with human brain cells. But Goldman told New Scientist that he and his colleagues think putting human cells into monkeys brings up more tricky ethical issues......"

"MOSCOW — The destruction of more than 350 tons of food by the government this week angered Russians in a nation where some are struggling to feed themselves and many recall the norm of food shortages just a generation ago.

The food was burned and streamrolled beginning Thursday, following a controversial decree by President Vladimir Putin ordering banned products from Europe and the United States to be eliminated before they can seep through the border.

I found it interesting that there was going to be a meteor shower (mostly on the 12th and 13th), and that it was from the Perseus constellation. Perseus is an anti-hero, supposedly half-god, and half human, but I believe a Nephilim (half fallen angel/half human). Anyway, I wasn't going to bother putting it here, but it's interesting that it lined up with the next story, CERN is going to turn up to full speed on August 12th.

Target to remove gender-based signage in some kids' aisles after controversy

Target...will start using gender-neutral signage in store aisles that carry kids’ toys, bedding, and books, seeking to quell a social media firestorm ignited this summer when a woman expressed displeasure on Twitter at a sign in one of its stores that referenced “building sets” and “girls’ building sets.”

In the coming months, the discount retailer will add signs in its kids’ bedding area that no longer feature suggestions by gender but will instead address kids as a group. Target will also remove references to gender, including the use of pink, blue, yellow, or green paper on the back walls of its shelves of its kids’ sections, the company said in a blog post on Friday.

“As guests have pointed out, in some departments like toys, home or entertainment, suggesting products by gender is unnecessary,” Target said. “We heard you, and we agree. State of emergency issued following Ferguson anniversary violence

ST. LOUIS — A day of remembrance for Michael Brown quickly turned violent late Sunday when police shot a man they said had opened fire on them in Ferguson, Mo., close to where demonstrators gathered.

The shooter, identified as 18-year-old Tyrone Harris Jr. of St. Louis, remains in critical condition, according to St. Louis County police. On Monday afternoon, prosecutors issued 10 charges against Harris — including four counts of first-degree assault on a police officer.

Tyrone Harris Sr., the alleged shooter’s father, told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that his son and Brown, who was fatally shot by former Ferguson police Officer Darren Wilson, “were real close.”

Three hours after the police-involved shooting, two more teens were wounded in an apparent drive-by shooting as they walked near a memorial honoring Brown.

The unrest prompted officials to place St. Louis County in an immediate state of emergency. The order puts St. Louis County police Chief John Belmar in command over all police emergency management in Ferguson and surrounding areas.

 “Chief Belmar shall exercise all powers and duties necessary to preserve order, prevent crimes, and protect the life and property of our citizens,” County Executive Steve Stenger wrote.

A beleaguered-looking Belmar learned of the drive-by shooting moments before briefing reporters on why his officers shot Harris.

There is a “small group of people out there that are intent on making sure we don’t have peace that prevails,” the chief said. “We can't sustain this as a community.”...

Drones over JFK airport prompts federal terror alert

The Department of Homeland Security issued a warning to law enforcement to be on alert for drones that could be used by terrorists after pilots at John F. Kennedy International spotted a third drone in as many days near the runway Sunday.  

A pilot of a Shuttle America flight from Richmond, Virginia, spotted the drone on the left side of his plane as it approached the runway around 6 p.m., the Federal Aviation Administration said, CBS reported.

On Friday afternoon, the FAA said Delta and JetBlue pilots had each reported sighting a drone as well.

The first incident happened just before 2:30 p.m. when a JetBlue flight inbound from Haiti reported seeing the drone, CBS reported.

Then, around 5 p.m., Delta Flight 407 from Orlando had a close encounter with a drone, or unmanned aircraft systems (UAS).

The pilots in both incidents did not take any evasive actions, and the planes landed safely, CBS reported.

In response to the sightings, DHS issued a bulletin, warning that drones could be used by terrorists. “The rising trend in UAS incidents within the National Airspace System will continue, as UAS gain wider appeal with recreational users and commercial applications,” the statement reads, the Daily Mail reported.

‘While many of these encounters are not malicious in nature, they underscore potential security vulnerabilities … that could be used by adversaries to leverage UAS as part of an attack,’ the statement reads.

I still don't believe in aliens, but I wouldn't be shocked if the government had made flying saucers or some holographic stuff (like Project Blue Beam). Heavily armed 'Oath Keepers' inject new unease to riot-hit Ferguson

FERGUSON, Mo. (Reuters) - Four civilians carrying automatic rifles and sidearms patrolled a riot-torn street in Ferguson, Missouri, early Tuesday, saying they were there to protect a media organization but drawing swift criticism from police and protesters alike.

The appearance of the four men, all white, quickly drew stares in the mostly black neighborhood, which exploded into violence again on Sunday night as protesters marked the police killing of an unarmed black teen a year ago.

The men identified themselves as part of a group called "Oath Keepers," which describes itself as an association of current and former U.S. soldiers and police who aim to protect the U.S. Constitution.

The Southern Poverty Law Center, a non-profit civil rights organization, has described the "Oath Keepers" as a "fiercely anti-government, militaristic group," and St. Louis County Police Chief Jon Belmar condemned their appearance in Ferguson.

"Their presence was both unnecessary and inflammatory," he said, adding that police would work with county prosecutors to see if the men had broken any laws.

Led by a man who gave his name only as John, the group, whose members wore bulletproof vests and carried sidearms in addition to combat-style rifles, said they had come to protect a journalist from the conservative "Infowars.com" Web site.

"There were problems here, there were people who got hurt. We needed to be prepared for that," said the man, who noted that Missouri state laws generally allow the open carrying of heavy weapons of the kind that his group were brandishing....

Oath Keepers Turn Up at Michael Brown Protests in Ferguson, Missouri

Heavily-armed members of a controversial right-wing "patriot" group added an extra dose of unease to protests in Ferguson, Missouri, early Tuesday.

The Oath Keepers organization says its members — all former military, police and first responders — pledge to "defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic."

However, St. Louis County Police Chief Jon Belmar described their presence as "both unnecessary and inflammatory."

Protesters and police confirmed that a handful of Oath Keepers with what appeared to be assault rifles, bulletproof vest and camouflage gear were seen early Tuesday on the streets of Ferguson, which was under a state of emergency following demonstrations pegged to the anniversary of Michael Brown's death.

Several protesters confronted members of the group, asking why they were allowed to openly carry weapons.

"I'm happy that we're able to defend ourselves," one Oath Keeper replied in footage from NBC station KSDK. "It's been our right for a long time."

The St. Louis County Police Department said it would consult with the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorneys Office about the legalities of the issue.

Missouri allows individuals with concealed weapons permits to openly display firearms, unless it is done in an "angry or threatening manner."

Shawn McGuire, a spokesman for St. Louis County Police, said he did not believe officers had confronted the Oath Keepers or told to leave.

Thinking about the line in Revelation below, has always made me wonder. I believe the bible to be accurate, and though there are parables, when something isn't a parable, it should be taken as fact. So when you read the line below, I always thought it was weird, because if there was going to be a big world war 3 or something, people would use explosives (bombs/nuclear weapons) and guns, right? But here's a thought, what if the people trying to lead a rebellion are Muslim. Now it makes sense that they want to behead Christians with a sword, they've been doing it a long time.

Revelation 13:10 If anyone is destined for captivity, to captivity he goes; if anyone kills with the sword, with the sword he must be killed.

(interesting article: Christian Man, Sick And Tired Of Christians Being Killed By Muslims, Takes ISIS Terrorist And Beheads Him) I wouldn't suggest killing anyone, the line in the bible clearly says anyone (which should include Christians) who kills with a sword will then be killed by a sword too.

Who said it? Bush vs. Obama on Islam

.....Not much different from Bush on Islam? Bloomberg notes that George W. Bush also avoided the term “Radical Islam,” saying it’s a “longstanding U.S. policy.” Why? As Elliot Abrams, who served as deputy National Security Adviser to George W. Bush told Eli Lake, “We were invading two Muslim countries, and we were being accused of being at war with Islam. So the administration wanted to make it very clear that we are not at war with Islam and every Muslim in the world.”

In fact, here’s a fun game. Here are some statements from Presidents Obama and Bush. See if you can guess who said which. Answers at the bottom of the Daily Trivia:

Hillary’s Islamic connection

So many lies, coincidences and distractions, so little time. Perhaps the most serious (who can keep count?) of the new Hillary revelations are that Huma Abedin’s emails are among the missing from Hillary’s private email server. Were Ms. Abedin’s emails trashed to cover a conflict of interest when she was taking pay as a private consultant while on the State Department payroll as an aide to Hillary?

Ms. Abedin was traveling chief of staff and “body woman” during Mrs. Clinton’s campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2008. That’s her role in this campaign. That intimacy, long demonstrated, has been a crucial contribution to the Clinton decision-making process, both before and after her service in the Obama administration.

Huma Abedin comes from a distinguished Muslim family. Her father, of Indian Muslim heritage, taught in an American university and afterward was set up in a private foundation in Saudi Arabia. The purpose and goals of the foundation have never been quite clear, but it was intended to influence international opinion. His work has been carried on by his widow, a leading member of a women’s auxiliary organization of the Muslim Brotherhood. Hillary and her top aide visited her in the Middle East, presumably to discuss the chaos in the region and what American policy should be. The Obama administration sees the Muslim Brotherhood as a sort of an Islamic version of the Christian Democratic parties in Europe, ignoring the uncomfortable fact that so many of the Islamic terrorist organizations bedeviling the Middle East have all sprung from the bowels of the Muslim Brotherhood.....

Obama “cooperated, incited and assisted the armed elements of the Muslim Brotherhood in the commission of crimes”, like murder, rape and ethnic cleansing, according to lawmakers in Egypt, who’s filed criminal complaints against Obama.

Obama also funneled cash to high-ranking Muslim Brotherhood officials, who mass murdered police and Christians.

Hilary aided Obama in a secret $8 billion bribe to the Muslim Brotherhood to turn over the Sinai Peninsula over to Hamas.

A recently released Gallup poll found “tidal shifts” over the past 60 years in Americans’ willingness to support a well-qualified black, female, Catholic or Jewish candidate for president.
