Sutton flew from London to Istanbul before apparently missing her flight to Irbil, Iraq and hanging herself in the restroom shortly afterwards.
Sutton had been working in Irbil in the Kurdish region of northern Iraq for the Institute for War and Peace Reporting. CNN reported the death was confirmed by Britain’s Foreign and Commonwealth Office. Turkish police have released the CCTV footage of Sutton at the airport. Nothing appears to be out of the ordinary...
The Melbourne, Australia-based International Women’s Development Agency tweeted it would “be seeking answers and calling for urgent action” over Sutton’s death. Sutton’s family was apparently also initially reluctant to believe the news but seems to have had a change of heart. The Sutton family released a statement explaining their reasons for accepting the suicide ruling....." |

One group in particular is using the opportunity to mock the program.
The Chicago Sun-Times reports that the Illinois gun-rights group Guns Save Life intends to repeat a stunt it pulled during a 2012 buyback, which brought in around 5,500 guns.....""In anticipation of the announcement, The Christian Science Monitor pointed to research that suggested that buybacks may be ineffective. From Schaaf’s most recent column, here is a guide to seeing the brightly lit conjunction of planets that may have guided the Magi toward the baby Jesus in 2 B.C.
Before dawn on Oct. 23, three planets in the eastern sky — Venus, Jupiter and Mars — were stacked one on top of another, in that order, with about even spacing between them.
Over the next four days, Venus and Jupiter, which Schaaf said are “by far the brightest planets,” will be in conjunction, meeting within one degree of each other. This same conjunction of planets occurred in October of 2 B.C., which is said to be the last appearance of the “star of Bethlehem,” said Schaaf, a contributing editor to Sky and Telescope.

Christian quarterback penalised for raising finger to thank God after big play in NY"More and more Christians are finding it difficult to express their faith in God in the United States—even in the field of sports.
First, they forbid a football coach from saying a prayer after a game at the risk of losing his job.
Now comes a Christian football player who has been penalised for making even the slightest gesture on the field as an expression of his faith.
Over the weekend in New York during a high school football match, 17-year-old Mexico High School quarterback Dante Turo ran 73 yards for a touchdown. To praise the Lord for allowing him to make the big play, Dante raised a single finger to the sky, according to Fox News.
Suddenly, to his amazement, the referee tossed a flag and penalised him 15 yards for "taunting" and "excessive celebration" which translated to "unsportsmanlike conduct."
Video replay shows Dante running the end zone and raising his finger for just a second or two before tossing the football to the ref.
"I talked to the referee and told him I wasn't trying to do anything malicious or arrogant—I was just trying to give praise to God," Dante told Fox News. "He [referee] told me, 'don't do it again.'"
His coach Tee Murabito protested the call, telling the referee that Dante was just praising God. But the referee insisted that what he did was taunting, which is not allowed.
Geno, Dante's father, was flabbergasted. He said he taught his son to always give glory to God but doing it in a subtle way so as not to attract too much attention after making big plays.
"When you score touchdowns, when you make big plays, it's easy to become proud," Geno told Fox News. "It's easy to take credit for yourself. I didn't want my son to get caught up in that."
Describing his son's raised finger gesture, Geno said all Dante wanted to do at that moment was "to take credit away from himself and give glory to God."
"God gives us the ability and the talent. As Christians, we want to be sure to give that back immediately," he said.
Geno said he's proud of his son. "He's brave. I brought him up to be fearless in the face of opposition," he said."

Video: FBI Warns of Anarchist Plot to Ambush Cops on Halloween "The FBI released an alert Monday warning the NYPD and police departments nationwide of a potentially dangerous anarchist group that says it plans to ambush cops on Halloween.
The extremist group – known as the National Liberation Militia – has proposed a “Halloween Revolt” that encourages supporters to cause a disturbance to attract police and then viciously attack them, the FBI said.
The group has recommended that members wear typical Halloween masks and use weapons such as bricks, bottles and firearms, according to the release.
The NYPD Intelligence Bureau is monitoring the threat, and there is no known link between the threat and New York City law enforcement specifically, the FBI said.
