Why have Bitcoin instead of cash?

I rather have both. Bitcoin and cash. Make some cash through bitcoin and buy bitcoin through cash. Why compare each other if both have different usage to different things that will be transact.

But at the moment I would go with cash because you can use cash at more places then Bitcoin for sure.

That would mean bitcoin is just for investment and  cash for immediate expanses. That would make sense because there is not much places you can spend your bitcoins directly.

I second that. Spending bitcoins on daily needs doesn't seem to be a very wise decision overall, even if it is now made possible with Bitcoin payment cards. It is like spending a gold coin to buy a roll or two of toilet paper and receiving change in paper money or nickels. You could certainly do that and buy enough toilet paper that will likely last you a lifetime, but would it be worth it?

Getting cash from bitcoins is really not a big deal as you can easily convert your coins into cash from a exchange or in Localbitcoins.com, and if you are holding your money in bitcoins there is a big chance that you might have more in just a week as the price always has a chance to grow.

Something that bugs me about bitcoin is that whenever I buy or sell it is based on the USD,meaning I not only potentially get screwed by the seller with a overprice but I also get dinged on the conversion to CAD from USD. Seems to setup a double thronged issue at times that I do not get with the Dollar.

Thats just something I seem to think about when it comes to one versus the other and its petty if I plan for the issue.

Personally I'd rather have Bitcoin instead of cash because it gains more value over time (so far, plus depreciating value), and it is less vulnerable to loss or loss of value than fiat currency (for a multitude of reasons). You can also use Bitcoin in a number of ways, and it isn't as limited as fiat currency.

So in here you really care for the bitcoin price since you are pointing of the value of it as time passes by.

What will take care of your regular expenses now? Since you preferred to have bitcoin instead of cash, your bitcoin will now be used to covered all your daily, weekly and regular spendings now. See the picture here?

There are many instances that bitcoin can't really match what fiat cash can do today so just use both of them as they are giving benefits in our financial status in life.

I agree people around here are too visionary that they forget about the reality.  The reality that bitcoin will never do at this point of time.  The reality that we need cash to buy our daily needs and bitcoin cannot be used to do it unless exchange to cash.  Even in our monthly bills, the third party that accepts bitcoin is changing bitcoin to fiat money and send it to our account to pay our bills that we paid for bitcoin.

I love having bitcoin and I think that using bitcoin is better than cash, its safer and you can also not lose it easily like cash.
Due to that I think its better to have bitcoin.

They are just few stores right now are accepting bitcoin as payment that you dont need to convert your bitcoin in to other cuurency to be accepted ..
I hope that we will be the same as brazil that has 150 stores or more accepting bitcoin as payment..

Cash or Money is the most liquid asset ever. You don't need to transform it into something in order make it liquid as all people accept cash, But not all people accept Bitcoin that is the reality. Therefore Bitcoin has both disadvantage and advantage depending on your perspective. My perspective is that it takes a lot of time before I can convert it to cash therefore saving more. But people tend to spend everything that is in there wallet these days.

I understand why some people would have Bitcoin instead of cash because with Bitcoin then can trade it in when it is wroth more money.
