What's wrong with the authorization process, I can't login both from chrome and IE. It just tells me "we'll be returning to the main page shortly", and there goes main page looking like I'm am not logged in.

I have no problem logging in in chrome/safari/ie/firefox. Do you have cookies enabled?

Additionally, the scoring algorithm is nearly complete. I will have to take a super small fee to make it count, but it shouldn't be more than bitcents per valid round.
(trying to keep it below .001 to be exact)

My estimated gain went down a bit over the last couple of hours and I was mining full power.

143 is cranking out 7.5 Ghash's.  so he is gaining share while the rest of us lose it.  but, the flip side is that he is doubling our chance of finding a block, so its all good.

Thanks 143, you brought my estimated earnings down 0.5 BTC.

This was his intention! To prove a point, or teach us a "lesson"!

That is 4+days of mining for some of you, and now you watch as profit dwindles away. He is exploiting not only the pool, but all involved too. When my est. reward got to the point where it would no longer compensate for 2.5 days of my time, I left. Then his co-conspirator lowered his hashrate!

i don't see it that way at all RyNin.  while he is here he is doubling our chances.  that we haven't found a block by now is not his fault.  no one can expect to be lucky all the time.

I agree... Your estimated earnings mean nothing if you never find a block!!

While these are both valid points, in the same amount of time, I could have made 3 times what my estimated has turned into. I could have went a day or 2 more, where my estimated was before this, and still been good! But, from that first post, the nonchalant way of testing the waters first. Then it was an all of a sudden defense mode. Then a threat, ultimately following through! As if, reedin' 'n edumacation is far to difficult for our simple minds to comprehend. We need to be shown! Learn through example!

Are you inferring that a pool hopper is doing this? Because that makes no sense. We have reached the point on this block where a pool hopper would have long left our pool. Not just entered it for the first time.

We all need to thank user 143 for doing us a service, whoever it is!

I guess I should have iterated further. My theory is #143 and anisoptera are one in the same. Now, if I'm wrong, Good! I'll retract my previous statements, and feel like an a$$. But, go back and read page 7 and the first post on 8. It just doesn't look very good to me! The events (7GH/s increase) corresponded with the conversation at hand. Then another 3GH/s came in. I mean, all is good with more speed, but immediately after I stopped my miners, that 3GH/s person dropped to 500 MH/s or so. It all seems too coincidental. Again, I hope I am wrong! For the sake of the pool.

All I am saying is that hashing power is good for people who have already done their mining after around share 250000, because the marginal utility of mining original shares goes down after that.

Pool hoppers only mine to that point and then go elsewhere.

Basically, whoever the big hasher is in the pool is doing everyone else who has already mined this block a favor for diminishing returns. They have nothing to gain by doing this.

I'm testing score based payouts now. The site percent is going up to .001% to facilitate the change (sorry, can't divide by 0 for cheat proof method).

Are you going to wait until after this block to implement it?

(Note: I am #45, so I am still hashing so this would probably benefit me, but it might not really be perceived as fair to those who put a lot of work in at the beginning. Generally speaking though, I think score based is a great idea).

Now we're up to 35 Ghash and I'm down another 0.3 BTC. Hope I don't wake up tomorrow with a negative balance Smiley

mouser98 is right and rynindaclm should listen to his words of wisdom, instead of pretending to be a mind-reading psychic.

pool hoppers join for the first 43% of the round and leave if they don't get lucky.  they don't come in towards the end of a round and help push a fledgling pool over the top, into its first 50 BTC award.

why complain about your pool's power being doubled?  that makes no sense.  you get half as much, twice as fast.  the only net effect is *REDUCED VARIANCE*.

haters only hate because they jealous.  if you prefer to stagnate in a tiny static pool that never grows and pays out on doomsday, then mine solo.

meanwhile, the rest of us will enjoy many quick dimes while you are growing old waiting for that one slow dollar.
