RE: coin supply, probably worth to deduct burned ones on the info page. More then 7M burned already, making UIS even more rare.
Am I counting right, this is 20% of total coins? That is correct, one fifth of all Unitus. We will probably be over a third soon, about 12 million.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Network info page ( http://unitus.nutty.one/network) now showing mined, burnt and remaining supply values. Market value also updated to reflect burnt value.

Multipool.us is now offering merged mining of Unitus with all X11 coins. Please update OP.
Thanks.

Multipool - Always mine the most profitable coin - Scrypt, X11 or SHA-256!

We've now burned 13 Million UIS, so the total coin supply has been reduced by over 37%.
Since these coins are now 37% more rare, maybe people will stop dumping them so cheap.

thats a lots... See no reason, why people dumping coin while UIS turn into up trend - that's not to cleaver I think, unless they want less profits then could get it.

Coinmarketcap.com now showing the correct supply, taking into account the burnt coins. See http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/unitusUnitus 0.9.6 ReleasedSee http://unitus.nutty.one/wallets for more details + downloads, but essentially we are hardforking @ block 450,000 onwards until finally at 455,000 when Lyra2re2 goes live.

EDIT2 : seriously, can we keep blake algo ? let me guess... your solo mining blake and are mining every blake block? quite profitable that but also insecure, as one miner can easily claim 20% of the coin's network strength. hence the change to something that's likely to see a far greater spread of hashrate

I tried to mine some Unitus on qubit with Myriad the other day, and I got no blocks on Unitus after like a day using two cards cause diff is so much higher than Myriad, so I guess there's some other coins using qubit (Digibyte I guess).

Solo mining anything other than Blake or Skein right now is going to be like that, massive variability in block time. Best to jump on a pool, or run one yourself What's the future for UIS ?
What do you want the future to be? Remember the idea behind Unitus was it was meant to be a community coin. Apart from one or two people who have contributed, there's been very little community support or ideas .... apart from the usual moaning and groaning that people in crypto seem to do. If you have an idea - make it reality or find people who you can work with to make it a reality.

Few questions: - Is there any coin out there which has 5 PoW algos and plus it is also PoS??? What would be benefits of such a coin? - What could UIS adapt from projects like Ethereum or MaidSafe? What would it take to implement those functionalities?

Why not add sha and scrypt and have 7 algorithms?
|
Myriad: the ORIGINAL and fairest distribution 5 algo coin, which I did not develop. http://myriadcoin.orgNOT the Myriad developer. Just a fan.

Why not add sha and scrypt and have 7 algorithms?
There are so many sha and scrypt asics that people could get Unitus "for free" and constantly dump it. Part of the problem is that Bitcoin and Litecoin are worth so much more than Unitus. If people are already paying for electricity with their "main" coins, then they can still profit by selling their merged coins at any price. SHA and Scrypt might be the biggest drain on Myriad's price, and X11 is already a smaller version of that problem for Unitus. The best scenario for merged mining is 2 coins with similar overall hashrate and market price, so that people don't consider the smaller coin an extra that they can throw away for nothing.

I think this is the last place where UIS can be traded. Any ideas of an exchange who could support UIS?
