Just bought some with Fiat when it was like 500 usd each. I wanted a gold ring from a btc store. The seller didn't had it in stock and I just saved them. Two weeks later the price was 1000. Great times...

That makes me regret not finding out about bitcoin earlier.

Since we’re not counting faucets, then that means that my first BTC that I bought was in localbitcoins and it was a face to face trade.

My first bitcoins came from Primedice signature campaign way back September 2014. From then on, I started to buy a little amount of btc every month and I have never failed to do so for the past 10 months.
How'd you get your first bitcoins (faucets aside) and what did you do to them?
Same here. My first bitcoin came from Primedice signature campaign as well. I never bought a single satoshi. All the satoshis I have are hard earned.

I mined them myself on my GPU back in March 2012. Almost all the bitcoins I have have been mined using my own hardware or now on cloud mining services. I never bought or sold any but I use them to buy gift cards, etc so technically, they are sold and converted into USD

I was able to mine enough LTC with GPU back then to get my first BTC. Which was nice since at the time BTC was still at 600$ and each GPU was earning a few $ a day. Hahhh good old time.

Mine was given to me by a employer who also want me to learn bitcoin "I think that was feb 2014". I have first ask him to pay me in paypal and he did so. then he also give me a $10 worth of bitcoin. I don't know what to do with it that time. until I have found a service that exchange it for peso. Until now I have prepared bitcoin over another payment service.
