Wow, at this rate, I'll catch up to the chain in about 4 years when mining is over.

I don't get how this is pushed in the repo without the relevant folder, but anyway, thanks for the reply. I think it worked, it's compiling.
Glad it is working for you now.

Are you syncing slowly? 11 connections and about 1 or 2 blocks a second. I'm at 380 now!

Just got home from work to find the axiom I've mined over last 24hrs have been withdrawn from the wall 1299 coins wtf!!! No one at home all day. Clean install of windows 7 yesterday, only thing downloaded was axiom wallet ( original and then updated version) wallet was encrypted and unlocked for staking. 1st time this has happened in over a year. Am I just mining for someone else here???
Can anyone suggest how I might detect how this has happened? I'm not a coder btw.0
Can you confirm if you downloaded from the official link or from a quoted link? There was someone in here earlier today that quoted the dev and changed the link of the minerd file. It was quickly deleted by the imposter. Refer here. The same could have happened with the wallet file. Can you upload your wallet and if you used the minerd to virustotal and post your result? The guys here will be able to quickly see if it was anything to do with the files here or if you have to look somewhere else on your PC. I will be digging a bit deeper into this later this evening, and post what i do or do not find. Ok so it seems I may have dowloaded from a quoted link. Ran the file through virustotal and it shows some form of Trojan, see below: Gen:Variant.MSIL.Krypt.22 20150727 Ad-Aware Gen:Variant.MSIL.Krypt.22 20150727 Arcabit Trojan.MSIL.Krypt.22 20150727 BitDefender Gen:Variant.MSIL.Krypt.22 20150727 ESET-NOD32 a variant of MSIL/Injector.KZF The transaction details :Status: 1077 confirmations Date: 7/27/2015 11:15 To: AHtimVvmtDxDTQ5qPUrJrdX1H94RmYEayM Debit: -1299.00 AXIOM Transaction fee: -0.00002 AXIOM Net amount: -1299.00002 AXIOM Transaction ID: b871f795afaebd25d47c95790f036699e56ac3f9f36f58cf41abe0dee2e17ed6-000 The post number 126 is a quote made by the user CryptRadio and that is a virus wallet the link is changed thats why you got a virus and lost your coins P.S I just reported the post to the mods Yep lesson learned for me, clean install incoming. cheers It's a little late now but I'm sure you'll be very careful in checking links in the future. CryptRadio changed the url in the link to point to his file. The official file is called Axiom-Qt-Win64-1.0.1.zip. The infected file from CryptRadio is called axiom-qt.zip. It would be a good idea to give the user negative trust rating.

This is why I am really against distributing via mega/dropbox/etc and prefer devs do a proper source tag and release right on the repo. Github and bitbucket make this VERY easy to do, yet so few actually do this. Sure, a malicious package can still end up there, but that would be the fault of the dev (or whoever has tag access to the repo) for not verifying the file if they themselves didn't build from source. Basically, when you put your trust into downloading pre-compiled binaries, you are taking a major risk. Compile yourself or donate to somebody that is known to release valid builds.

If I were in the top 100 I would also not be working.

I'm new to Sandboxie. I wanted to take the wallet out of the sandbox because this wallet has earned my trust. However, it appears that when I tried to do that, the wallet started downloading the whole blockchain again. I gather the easiest way to do this is run the wallet outside of sandboxie and import all my private keys? I'll run it in sandboxie for now until I feel less lazy.

When you use sandboxie all the wallet files goes into a specific sandbox folder so they are not mixed with the wallet files of the wallets that you run normally. To grab these i go to C:\Sandbox\tom\DefaultBox\user\current\AppData\Roaming , it should be similar on your system except for the username obviously
