AXIOM Update August 14 There is still no public GPU miner, and the devs have no GPU miner, its a few indepedent programmers in the IRC and in this thread. Majika, longtime member of the crypto community, tweeted today that hes working a public gpu miner for the community. This is good news and will even the playing field for the next large POW/POS distribution phase. https://twitter.com/Crypt0Trader/status/632239054206205956Please retweet and show support. Actually the inflation is at the lowest so far right now. Still 40 days of slow accumulation until the explosion. |

If you can get coins between 4-5 k, consider yourself lucky. I'm putting buy orders here, hoping for dumps over next month. I thought 5500-6 k would be accumulating price, but looks like 4500-5 k looks like it.

FYI, solo mining stats for 72 hours, 1 thread per core using minerd-multi posted on OP.
4Core Intel Desktop - found 8 blocks
8Core Intel Server - found 6 blocks
2Core Laptop - found 2 blocks
64Core Blade - found 51 blocks
4Core GPU 3 R280x - found 18 blocks
4Core Intel Desktop is exceeding expectations.
So if I look at this right, the Gpu and 4 core cpu rig only did 3X better than your 8 core cpu rig? I don't think people realize how miniscule the GPU edge is compared to most algos... |

Actually, with a public GPU miner the situation wouldn't be too bad. It provides somewhat more hashrate per unit but the latest nicehash CPU miners on an efficient CPU seems to still have a small edge on power usage. So a public GPU miner could open up mining for even more people, this machine for example runs on a 4core AMD without AVX but has a 7970 installed. Others have some idling servers at hand or a nice new Intel CPU but just integrated graphics. So far it looks like this coin could work for all of them. But once development can continue it should go for CPU, GPU has enough coins to choose from.  |
