I hope what you are saying is right and India management is experimenting. If this is true then they already should know who are doing what. IPL is coming in 9 days and from there they may also find some player that can give them a thought to add in the squad although I doubt there will be any new extra ordinary face. Current BCCI official and selection committee is one of the weakest and Clueless in comparison to the previous officials. They are still in confusion, recently Indian Team Chief Selector M.S.K Prasad gave interview and said that they will look into IPL performance too. And Virat Kohli said in one press conference that No we will not consider IPL performance. I agree that there will be no new face in World cup squad unless some batsman end up with extraordinary performance in IPL. In my point of view, Indian selectors will look out for existing back-up players {present (IPL)performance-form too}, to name a few Rishab Pant, Dinesh Kartik, Raydu, Vijay Shankar or in some extent KL Rahul. I think now they lost faith on Pant after watching his performance from this series,I really upset with his performance today because he simply threw his wicket to slip. But I think he will be much effective if he came at 6 to bat.DK can be the best one for his place now because he has experience and good skills on wicket keeping than pant. OZ would be feeling great after winning the series in India as for the world cup they will have Warner and Smith back in their side which will boost their confidence again. So OZ are all set for the world cup and India would be little disappointed of not winning inspite of playing well and restricting OZ to 272. An awesome display of performance by Usman Khawaja yet again against India in New Delhi today, he deserved to get the man-of-the-match as well as the man-of-the-series award; he literally changed the direction of the series. India probably learned the lesson that unnecessary change of caps in-between the series is not a very good idea. Australian team doesn't seem very bad anymore (beating India "in" India is definitely a big deal). The upcoming series between Australia and Pakistan will surely be very interesting to watch!

Okay, let's start banter now The way all Pakistani cricket lover thumbing their chest in social media for Usman Khawaja is a good case of study but I am just wondering why? 1. Is it because he's born in Pakistan? and choose to play for Australia instead of Pakistan. shame because Pakistan can use some quality batsman. 2. Is it because he is Muslim? ( like Rashid Latif's religious rant during Champions trophy? ) 3. Maybe Pakistani just admiring a cricketer who played brilliantly against India. but I doubt that that's a case lol IMHO PCB should select Khwaja as a Pakistani opener in the upcoming world cup. I am sure Khawaja waiting for a call from fatherland very desperately That's another thing that if he had stayed in Pakistan, he wouldn't be able to survive due to politics in Pakistan cricket. guess that's a reason he opted out for Australia under 19 in the first place and not Pakistan under 19.

Okay, let's start banter now Heh, I totally expected that! 1. Is it because he's born in Pakistan? and choose to play for Australia instead of Pakistan. shame because Pakistan can use some quality batsman.
2. Is it because he is Muslim? ( like Rashid Latif's religious rant during Champions trophy? )
3. Maybe Pakistani just admiring a cricketer who played brilliantly against India. but I doubt that that's a case lol
1. No one likes to leave Australia. I'm in Brisbane, and I see a lot of Indians and Pakistanis falling in love with all of Australia. Honestly, none of them prefer to go back home (especially the students) if they get a chance to live here. Comparing Australia (and the very humble Aussies) with India/Pakistan is like comparing bitcoin with fiat. 2. No, please! No one should make such comments - only mentally ill or very illiterate people make such comments to gain some (social) media coverage. 3. That's the case! At least partially. That's another thing that if he had stayed in Pakistan, he wouldn't be able to survive due to politics in Pakistan cricket. guess that's a reason he opted out for
Maybe. Australia has a really nice cricket academy structure for youngsters. The way all Pakistani cricket lover thumbing their chest in social media for Usman Khawaja is a good case of study but I am just wondering why? Actually, it's extremely funny if you ask me. Imagine winning so easily with a good streak and suddenly, after a little cap change, everything gets flipped over and your winning streak turns into a losing streak.

Australia has come good just at the right time with the World Cup coming up. No one was really talking about Australia in the upcoming World Cup but I guess that will all change now as Smith and Warner can come back into the team which will make it even stronger. If Warner and Smith do come back I can already see that Finch would be one of the players to be dropped and the other could be Stoinis for Smith as Khawaja and Handscomb have performed well in this series and deserve to keep their spots in the team. Now Australia play Pakistan in a 5 ODI series so I'll be interested to see if Australia will make some changes to the team or if Warner and Smith come back in. Australia have turned it around on India on their home soil like India did to Australia on their home soil.

The very inly reason for which Pakistani are admiring Osman Khawaja is he played brilliantly against team India. It's nothing new and there is nothing about being Muslim. I am a muslim too and I appreciate his performance but I can't say I loved it because I support team India after my native. Some of the illiterate people are making troll on social media even with the match when Indian team showed respect to their armies. As like Raza said, those are really illiterate and don't know what sport is.

It is shame for the Pakistan cricket board for failed to pick an amazing cricketer for their homeland and it is one of the country where Politics influence much than skills so he won't go back to Pakistan again.

They will always be the team to beat no matter what since they have basically won the world cup a record number of times when compared to other teams. The current Australian team is obviously weaker when compared to previous generations, but they are starting to prove us all wrong with their recent performances against India etc.

@Raja_MBZ You may have tripped a snowflake there. @JSRAW all the trolling is just retaliation, stop visiting EspnCricInfo But I have to say that Cap change did wonders for the Aussies As for the upcoming series between Pakistan and Australia, I expect Australia to win the series quite comfortably. Pakistan still is lacking those 300+ targets and I didn't see a player except Babar Azam in the PSL who could bat out the middle innings with a 100+ strike rate.

Agreed. On the other hand, you must have to agree that it is not so easy to score 300 against Pakistan. Pakistan have some good bowlers. Anyway, still Australia will dominate the series for sure. Pakistan is so poor at batting.

Allan Border says, There may no longer be room left in Australia’s ODI XI for Steve Smith and David Warner after the team claimed its “best ever” series win in the format. Smith and Warner making comeback in IPL? sorry for the ignorance but didn't follow IPL auction or any news this year. If they are coming back then its great news. Allan Border is a legend but I am sure if those 2 comebacks in the team with their performance, Oz wouldn't mind cutting some dead weight. @Raja_MBZ You may have tripped a snowflake there. @JSRAW all the trolling is just retaliation, stop visiting EspnCricInfo But I have to say that Cap change did wonders for the Aussies No one tripping anyone here bro, it was just friendly word of exchange between @Raja and me, or call it banter. You used the word "Retaliation". which is a very bad choice of word in this context IMHO. Someone paying respect to their soldiers who died in Deadly Terrorist Attacks and people making fun of it, Good!!! But don't worry if something happens like this on another side of the border. We will not celebrate or make fun of that, we will grief with them shoulder to shoulder. Its double edge sword for those who cry out loud "We are the biggest victim of terrorism" 3. That's the case! Forget what Allan Border has said about there is no room for Smith and Warner. There is room for Warner at the top as Finch hasn't performed well in ODI matches for the past few series and Smith like I said can replace Stoinis as he hasn't been in all that good form lately so I don't understand how Border can say this lol. To be honest I still think that a lot of ex Australia players are upset with Smith and Warner and that is why they make these comments but I can say that there is room for them as they are top class players and we only make the Australian team stronger if they get back into some form.

I remember the first match of India watched by me. It was in 2003 maybe, can't remember the year exactly. Ganguly Dada and the master blaster Sachin was playing charming and I was like wow, such genious players and I became a fan of them as well as the Indian team. If I am correct, from that day, I never missed a single match of India till 2011 world cup. Later, for a while, it seems Indian team was affected by politics hugely for a while and I thought it's time to give a rest. I can't take how Sehwag, Sachin, Ganguly have gone rest. Indian team owe a lot to them but they didn't get the honor. None of their rest was a perfect one. And it should not be continued on cricket. Thank you Royse, for the love.

Hey there’s a popular saying maybe Border hasn’t heard it, you don’t leave your best stallions in the stables you put them out on the track. I have said it before Warner and Smith shall only make Australia stronger, and they have good experience which is needed to win the World Cup. Also it’s pertinent to note that both Warner and Smith have been called to Dubai to gel in with the team, I feel it’s a way for them to apologise and then be included in the playing 11.

You are welcome. Always happy to support this small cricket community. There are not many people around to look after us. To me, cricket is one of the sport which I understand and enjoy most. I also used to play a lot of cricket when I was young. Cricket and school, this was life. My second is Tennis. I do not watch much football.

Its great to see such a dedicated Cricket community in this forum. Honestly, I have a lot of fun conversing with you guys regarding anything related to Cricket. I used to play a lot of cricket too when I was young. Second favorite sport is soccer though.
