Just finished watching the first innings of the IRE vs WI match. Indian TV channels are not covering the match, so watched it as live stream in YouTube. The Irishmen put up a brave display, scoring 327/5 after 50.0 overs. Balbirnie scored a quick century, but it was Kevin O'Brien who put up the most entertaining display. He scored 63 off 40 balls.

I am expecting Ireland to win all the way unless their bowlers mess it up. The West Indian team is missing some of their key players which is why chasing down such a big total won't be easy for them unless they form really big partnerships.

West Indies seems to be comfortably placed and they are cruising to victory at 73/0 after 10.0 overs with Hope and Ambris at crease. Bowling is not one of the strong aspects of the current Irish team and they depend too much on the 38-year old Tim Murtagh. Anyway it will be interesting to watch the spinners, such as George Dockrell  and Paul Stirling.

England won by 12 runs despite an admirable innings by Zaman. I do agree that the bowlers from both teams played horribly. 300 was a huge target several years ago, but is an average target at present thanks to the influence of T20 tournaments.

That was an entertaining match to watch between England and Pakistan even though the bowling wasn't all that good but it was great batting by both teams. If this is anything to go by, then we are in for an exciting World Cup with hopefully many big totals like we saw today in this match.

Windies completed a superb run chase of 328 against Ireland and reach the final of Tri nation series.Ireland put 327 with the century of Andy but Windies was too good in the batting.Ambrose scored 148 runs and help the team to reach final.Ireland needs a miracle to reach the final.They must win next match against Bangladesh and If Bangladesh lose next match against Windies only then Ireland can qualify to Final.

Not Typical English condition pitch per se. we can safely say its similar to Sub-continent pitch lol.

I was expecting Babar Azam to play big as well. unfortunately he didn't. Fakhar was looking different yesterday.

Pakistan middle order is not that bad. Haris Sohail form is very important for Pak. he can single-handedly. manage the middle order.

That was an entertaining match to watch between England and Pakistan even though the bowling wasn't all that good but it was great batting by both teams. If this is anything to go by, then we are in for an exciting World Cup with hopefully many big totals like we saw today in this match.

Guess we can expect similar pitches in World Cup as well.

If that's the case then I would say - taking wickets in middle over will decide the difference between winner and loser-. Not big totals.

Exactly, the way their first four batsman played, I thought it will be easy win. Pakistan's top order really played brilliant. Haris Sohail and Imad Wasim may change the result but they were not able to play a better.
If Pakistan won the match, it would be a great inspiration for them in the world cup, imo.

This was another great contest after the England vs Pakistan match. I did not expect Windies to chase down such a big total. Kudos to them for achieving it and proving me wrong.

They deserved to reach the final and could win it unless they play horrible cricket.

Exactly, the way their first four batsman played, I thought it will be easy win. Pakistan's top order really played brilliant. Haris Sohail and Imad Wasim may change the result but they were not able to play a better.

Yes you could be right my friend, the team with the strongest middle order could be the team to win the World Cup. That is where an all rounder could be the game changer in a match, teams with a good all rounder I think could be the difference in winning and losing. I'll be keeping my eye on the warm up matches to see what teams do with their selections as we could get an idea on what teams are trying to do and line up once the World Cup starts.

The current IPL 2019 has concluded in a spectacular fashion and it was easily the most entertaining season among all seasons of IPL so far. MI truly deserved their 4th win and CSK basically threw the game away.

This season displayed which players are in form(MSD, Bumrah, Pandya etc) and which are out of form(Rohit, Virat, Vijay etc) who will be interesting to watch in the upcoming World Cup tournament.

I did not realize that today there was a match between Bangladesh vs West Indies.
Just checked the scorecard.
After winning the toss WI elected to bat and managed to score 247 runs after 50 overs.
I think Bangladesh will win this one too.

Vishnu Bhai, cricket has changed drastically, try to compare this era with 70's-80's just for fun (graveyard for batsmen) Those days are gone when Bowlers used to rule the cricket field

90's was the era when we had Solid competition between Bowlers and Batsmen. But now time has changed for good and arguably bad. Enjoy this change.

CSK basically threw away the chances they received. Watson was dropped 2 times and still managed to make himself run out in a horrible manner in the final over. MSD misjudged the overthrow though I still think that he should have been given not out due to the split camera views giving different verdicts.

As MSD said, the team that made less mistakes won overall.
