Some more stats about the Australia vs England 2nd Odi at Lords

In last 15 yrs. aus played 9 odis here. Won 7. Tied 1. Lost 1. That was last game vs eng here. Lost while chasing 270 around. In last 15 yrs aus played eng 5 tym here n lost that one only. All such record tempting me to go with aus there as odds also high but not many 300+ here in last 10yrs putting me off bcoz if they gets under it then odds will b high only. So if enters here then itsfor only small trades imo. Lets see.

Australia and England - One Day Series - second match is today

Today is second one day match between Australia and England.

England may have just won the Ashes but Australia supremacy of the 50 over format remains very strong. They already won the first match and their confidence level is very high now so they got more chances of winning this match than England

Yes I agree that Australia is a quite good team in one day format but you also should remember this series is playing in England so they may bounce back at any time. England already done quite good in test as well as in T20 but its a matter of time to come back in this one day series. So you can't predict this match result so easily  Huh

My predictions are England will win this match because they have to win this match to keep this series alive Smiley

Australia have won 10 of their last 11 ODIs against England. This tells us the australia is more stronger team in one day matches compared to England team

England won the toss and elected to field first and Australia has scored 150 runs with loss of two wickets in 30.2 overs. It looks like matching similar to first one day match. With wickets in hand australia can easily reach 300 + runs if they play good cricket.

I think Australia will win this match if rain don't spoil the match.

Match has reduced to 49 overs match and now Australia is 171 runs and still they have a 8 wickets in hand and they can easily reach around 300 mark.

Australians again have done good job even in second ODI and there is always psychological advantage for first team whenever chasing targeting  is 300 plus.Australian team set up 310 runs target which will not be easy for English team to chase against Australia.

Australia rack up a 300-plus total, again. After rain delayed the start of play by an hour, David Warner was forced to retire hurt by a Finn bouncer, but Steven Smith and George Bailey scored fifties and added stability to the innings. Mitchell Marsh and Shane Watson then summoned some big blows at the death

Target 310 for England , if the start is good we can see england favrite withing 10 overs , that time it is good to book both side profit , but mostly australia will be the winner

I will say England's team had to bat first don't know why the chose to bowl first. This will not be easy for English team to chase this target.I betted on Australia but if somehow will appear good odds I would try to make win on both sides. All this depends on English team's start.

England require another 267 runs with 9 wickets in another 41.2 overs. They shouldn't loose any more wickets for another 10 overs then they can try to chase down this score

At the moment run rate is quite progressive what England needs is to build one or two partnerships to secure their victory. This score is doable just need to play sensibly.England should win this match to make this series more interesting.
P.S. While I was writing the 2 wicket fell down so England can really be in trouble now if they keep loosing wickets like this.

England is required 229 runs in 34.1 overs with 8 wickets in hand. That is almost 7 run rate is required. If England play sensible cricket and build couple of good partnerships at least 50 to 100 runs then from their they can start playing like T20 match if they still keep wickets in hand.

However Australia will surely try to pick up wickets so if wickets gone then surely england will loose this match also

One good thing is tat England keeping up the Required Rate not letting it go high This inngs going much like frst inngs. Middle order bats going steady. Then need late order bats to get quick runs.

and here goes 3rd wicket - Taylor 119/3 England,

England 245/all this is the result of another bad decision taken by English team.Australia took full advantage of the invitation to bat first given by England's team. This is another defeat of English by big margin.

Actually the decision to field was right because England have no good bowlers, they have a huge batting line up and it is really shameful for them that they can't even chase a 300 + total on their home grounds in 50 overs, which by today's cricket standard is nothing. But they're missing a good batsman which is Joe Root and if he was in both the matches, the result might have been different.

Australia have won the second ODI by 64 runs and take a lead of 2-0 in ODI series. The English skipper Morgan played brilliant knock but he had too much to do, he played a very composed inning of 85 runs but failed to convert into the victory for his team. England's middle order failed in batting and the Australian bowler done the needful - Cummins got 4 crucial wickets, now its difficult for England to bounce back and take a lead into the series.

I think the biggest mistake of England is after winning the toss and have opted to field. They know Australia has got a good track record on this ground so they should have choose to bat first and put on some good competitive score and then they should have tried to restrict Australia with the blowing and fielding because's team blowing is better than batting line up. This is just my opinion.

Australia is much stronger team compared to England team in 50 overs match. They should have won the T20 match also but some how England manage to win that game. This series surely australia will win
