Today March between Pakistan vs New Zealand looking  interesting because of of because of both teams are doing well the New Zealand give a target of 266 to Pakistan but they have loss quick kids wickets in single over, let's hope now Pakistan doing better I think Pakistan need good partnership to win the this match.

Right now Shoaib and Imam doing good recovery as these both put 62 runs in just 13.2 overs if they can able to stay on crease for some more time then surely its going to be very interesting match otherwise its New Zealand is going to take lead in this series very easily good and spirited play by visitors.

New Zealand defeated Pakistan easily in this one. IMO, if the partnership between Sarfaraz and Imad had continued till the end, the result would have been different. The top-order of Pakistan totally collapsed today, and this is the 12th consecutive ODI loss of Pakistan against New Zealand. Pakistan needs to focus more on ODIs and Tests; they've been indulged too much in T20 format for the past few months.

@vella85 Yeah, a couple of wins can do magic sometimes. I think this is the time batsmen should step up and put some run on the scoreboard especially the senior players like Finch/Maxwell should anchor the inning in top/middle order respectively and give bowlers some chance to fight back. I would like to see Shaun Marsh in playing XI for the next game.

I agree, Australia just need to find a win from somewhere which can give them that spark they need to perform well. Like you said the senior players now need to step up and play well as that gives the younger players confidence to play well. I also think Shaun Marsh deserves another shot as he has been in pretty good form playing shield cricket. Tomorrow is the day to see if Australia can bounce back and get a win or continue with their losing form. I think its a make or break for the rest of the Australian summer in the match tomorrow.

I think we have a different definition of collapse mate. That was some good bowling by Trent Boult to get Hafeez and Babar. I hardly blame them. "Fucker" was disappointing as usual, Pakistan should start thinking of alternatives. Poor fella has failed too many times at the top order now.

Pakistan needs to focus more on ODIs and Tests; they've been indulged too much in T20 format for the past few months.

And what do you suggest them? Playing against other top nations won't help their cause that will only demoralise them more. They need to focus on their local cricket Structure. Just like they copied other nations with PSL, they should start copying their local structure too. Only Good will come out for them iyam.

I agree that Trent Boult's bowling was exceptional but, being so experienced in Abu Dhabi, the batsmen should've handled it. Fakhar has no technique at all, his entire performance depends upon his luck. Pakistan does need a good opening batsman. BTW, Sharjeel Khan might be making a return sooner or later.

On a side note, it's not a good habit to spoil names like that. "Fakhar" has a good meaning in Arabic.

1st Test of England tour of SL, SL requires another 447 runs to win and 10 wickets at the end of 3 days of play. So considering the match till now it will be very difficult for SL to draw or to win this test match. Only some special innings could help to make SL win this test.

Nah he is got his "technique". I have seen him play. His timing is sweet. I believe its more of a confidence issue.

First, define "Good". Does getting a 50 off 80 balls in each match means the player is a good openner? Fakhar has got the brute force required at top of the order to get off to a good start, something which was sharjeel's role. I don't think Pakistan has a player right now who could replace fakhar. The problem with these style of players is that they will fail more often than the regular ones. You have got to be patient with them. I say, Let fakhar play this ODI series and decide afterwards.

A league like PSL but of 50-overs can probably help Pakistan in ODI-format.

I dunno how a single league can help em out. They should really work on their local talent. More local tournaments with bigger prizes would be a good start.

Fakhar has got the brute force required at top of the order to get off to a good start, something which was sharjeel's role. I don't think Pakistan has a player right now who could replace fakhar. The problem with these style of players is that they will fail more often than the regular ones. You have got to be patient with them. I say, Let fakhar play this ODI series and decide afterwards.

I've been closely watching Fakhar's performance for a while, and can confidently say that his technique will ONLY work on bad balls. Yes, he has the capability of making 50 runs on 20 balls in the opening, but only if bowler fails to do any good in bowling.

An opener is not supposed to be like that, the first three batsmen of the team should be able to perform well with consistency (the strike rate of above 80 is fine, but less than that, I don't consider it good for an opener in an ODI). Sharjeel, on the other hand, always seemed to play with stability even against the quality balls. I'd always prefer Sharjeel to Fakhar, let's see if Sharjeel is able to get back in cricket anytime soon.

I remember kholi went without a 50 in 12 matches in a row. But they gave him the confidence that he needed. Look how good he is performing. All i am saying is let the dude complete the series and then decide from there.

Good balls can't be turned into sixes or fours, correct, but they can be played as dots. Good openers do plan and play them as dots. I'm not saying that remove Fakhar from the middle of the series, let him play in this one, he might score well again. However, ODIs and Tests are not for him, or if he's being considered as compulsory by PCB for the ODIs, then at least his number should be moved to somewhere in middle-order so that he may not ruin the opening of the match. It'll eventually be done but only after a few more failures.

English lower middle order doing an exceptional job for the team. indeed a tough task for SL. they need to hold their horses for at least 2 sessions without any loss. which is very unlikely, then they can think about winning.

They are doing fine for now. finch looking good so far. I thoroughly enjoyed Steyn's spell. ODI win is important but i think test series can be very different. we shouldn't forget that Aus didn't play a single test match at home after Ban Saga.

In case Aus didn't manage to win this series or at least compete then Australian cricketers association going to push their agenda on lifting the ban for all 3 players aggressively.

3 Aussie batsmen got out on 40+ mark and failed to convert into big innings. SA bowlers did a great job. tailenders adding some valuable runs for Australia. hope they will play full quota of their 50 overs and reach 235-240

Good players can turn those good bowls into 1s and 2s. Pakistan always had an issue with their openers. They still aren't producing the batsmen who are able to convert good balls into 1s and 2s. The only player I have seen doing it effectively is Babar Azam and Sarfraz when he gets going. I like your suggestion of moving him down the order to use him as a pure striker but you guys already have Asif for that? I mean Pakistan needs more batsmen in its line up that's a no-brainer but I don't think Fakhar can do much down the order.

Are you referring to Sachin and Dravid's ball tampering case?

ICC decision was 5 test ban but CA took this on another level due to public sentiment and players attitude toward the game that they can get away with anything. that tour was already in limelight due to Warner's behavior.

Like I already mentioned before that Ball tempering was always part of the game and each and every team does that most of the players used to get away with a couple of test ban or sometimes only warning but this time CA dropped the bomb on players.

I don't know if anyone of you guys noticed or not but all 3 players are Batsmen who are facing a ban. not a single Bowler got into this mess, especially Starc.
