Now that was a great ending to a test match in a while. Congrats to New Zealand on the win as it looked unlikely when they didn't get at least a 200+ run lead. But to their credit they bowled well mainly thanks to Patel which I said was the man to win it for New Zealand as he was able to get the danger man Azhar Ali out lbw. Pakistan really need to work on their middle to lower order batting if they are to improve as a test match team.

The match ended like I had predicted that Pakistan weak batting line up will let them down. It's interesting that Pakistan have made their bowling line up very strong, but have made no efforts to strengthen their batting department which is very weak. All credit to Patel who turned out to be an unexpected hero for the kiwis. I'm excited to see India vs Australia now, and mind games have already began I feel team India will have a difficult time down under what do you'll think.

Yes the mind games have started between Australia and India which always happens now days when these two teams play each other. India have always found it difficult to win in Australia and like I mentioned a couple of months ago, they are yet to win a test series in Australia but I believe this is their big chance to finally get a test series win as the Australian team is one of the weakest teams in a very long time, well I can't even remember when Australia had a weak team like this one lol. The only strength Australia have which could see them win the series is their bowling attack but when it comes to batting I would say India has the better batting line up so the series will most likely be decided on whether India can bat well in Australian conditions and for Australia they will be relying on their bowling attack. Its going to be an interesting series.

To me, Lahore Qalandars look the favourites. I mean that batting lineup is destructive and they have got some good bowlers in there. I dunno What more do they need now. If they still can't pull it off this time the owners should really rethink their position. BTW who will captain them?

AFAIK their captain is not decided yet. It'll probably be Mohammad Hafeez or AB De Villiers.

They both are good contenders but I would give Hafeez the chance to captain them. They tried with Azhar they failed, TBH it was a big mistake. Azhar is no captain material. They tried Brandon MC they failed, I guess communication was an issue with him. But Hafeez has the experience and has successfully captained Pakistan before. AB is great don't get me wrong but they chock at crucial moments which LQ can't afford.

In few hours from now we will have India vs OZ first T20 match coming up soon. It wold be great to see how does India perform outside India and that too against OZ. Though OZ will miss Warner and Smith due to ban on them for 1 year. It should be nail biting match.

In few hours from now we will have India vs OZ first T20 match coming up soon. It wold be great to see how does India perform outside India and that too against OZ. Though OZ will miss Warner and Smith due to ban on them for 1 year. It should be nail biting match.

The match is going very interesting and OZ had made 158/4 and due to rain the game was halt and finally as per D/L India is given the target of 174 in 17 overs. India is currently at 79/1 in 8 overs and Dhawan is playing at 59 in 31 balls. India still require 93 in 53 balls. If for another 20 - 30 India do not loose wickets then they have a good chance to win it.

Pant and Kartik were playing well then suddenly Pant got creative lol and he keeps repeating the same mistake, he is young so he will learn. Shikhar Dhawan played good inning but got out. he should try to finish the game sometimes just for fun.

Kartik was in the Pilot mode and for me, his inning was like "The highlights of Nidahas trophy final".

OZ overall was slightly better than India considering that Warner and Smith are still not in the team. Though Karthik and Pant in the end almost steal the show but just fell short in order to make it win and finally OZ clinched the win by 4 runs. But it was good match to see.

It may not be a bad idea to expand the competition to 8 teams. That will add a bit more color. Right now there is only one team from Punjab, where half of the population resides. Why can't they field a team from Faisalabad or Rawalpindi? or even from Multan..

It may not be a bad idea to expand the competition to 8 teams. That will add a bit more color. Right now there is only one team from Punjab, where half of the population resides. Why can't they field a team from Faisalabad or Rawalpindi? or even from Multan..

I agree, at least two more teams from Punjab and one more team from Sindh should participate (Hyderabad, Faisalabad, and Multan would make a good combination of additional teams). Multan Sultan did play in the last tournament; however, due to some violation of an agreement with PCB, they might not play this one.

Yes a win is a win and this should help give Australia some confidence and momentum going into the next T20 match later today. India would also like to bounce back strong after the narrow loss.

On some other news for the upcoming test series between Australia and India. The Australia team has been named with a Marcus Harris coming into the team ahead of Matt Renshaw who misses out. The reason behind this is that Harris has been making a lot of runs in Shield cricket compared to Renshaw, this will be Harris's test debut for Australia so it will be interesting to see how he goes as he has an average of 87 in Shield cricket over the past couple of seasons.

Second T20 match between India and OZ have started India won the toss and elected to field. OZ are 74/6 in 13 overs. India bowlers are bowling a good line today and not giving easy runs to OZ. Also as a result they are continuously losing wicket and might not even be able to reach 140 runs.

India will really need to bring their best game if they wish to have any chance of winning, and drawing the series and I think Australia will make it difficult for them in short will be an exciting match.

Aussie were not fav before t-20 series. before Brisbane, Aus managed to win only 5 matches against Indian team and India's winning rate was double.
