Actually India made mistake of excluding Ashwin and bhuvaneshwar from squad which have cost them the match to loss. I think next match they will properly work out and pick the team mates properly.

Ashwin was left out due to injury reasons and Bhuvaneshwar Kumar's recent swinging capacities are not better than Umesh Yadav. But, I guess Ravindra Jadeja must have been included as he is a front line spinner and also having some batting capabilities. If a spinner was included, I guess Australia might would have faced 2-0 right now.

For boxing day match, I guess both the current opener might be dropped and Prithiv Shaw may find a slot to open along with M Agarwal or else with M Vijay.But, there will be no reasons for retaining M Vijay in my opinion. All the above, H Pandya may replace H Vihari to give India an all rounder touch. If Ashwin will be fit, U Yadav may end up in bench.

Australian bowlers were also quite good, might be a spinner could change the current position. Also, the opening of Indian teams second innings was just a shit show. I think you are right, they will be dropped and actually, they should be dropped and I agree including Pandya and for sure including a spinner.
But truly, hats off to the bowling of Australian team, quite remarkable performance.

I didn't get to watch today's Indian batting, but man, I'm amazed; India's 140 all out? Seems like Australia's bowling attack is getting back in form, once again, after quite a while.

Hardik pandya and Kl rahul are shitty player in Test cricket. Hardik can't bowl 6-7 over in one spell during the test match, check last Ranji match Mumbai vs Baroda. he manage to take 5 wickets in first inning when Mumbai's batsmen were on 20-20 mode. Mumbai scored 465 run in first inning -92 overs-. let's see if including him in squad backfires or not with team combination just like England both are fav of Virat and management.
KL rahul should be out from Test sqaud for good and let him play Domestic season and prove his worth.

Simply toss decided the match in my opinion.In 5 day matches toss plays a big roles since the pitch getting more spin day by day that is why Nathon Lyon made the Indian batsmen to shattered on the fourth day.

I agree with it as i have seen if you check the previous matches then you can easily find that Toss decides the match. Spinners always give troubles to batsman that is why it is always good to include spinners. Lime Australia got  Lyon due to him they got won the 2nd test and more over if India would have won 2nd test then the 3rd test would have become dead match, so now it is interesting to see 3rd test who wins and lead the TEst Series.

I think he is potentially India's all rounder like Jadeja and will definitely grow as the years pass by. Will need to back such talents so that they also remain confident.

If Virat Kohli can't boost the team's confidence, then I don't know how Pandya can? he's a very good all-rounder but for only shorter format of the game.  Test cricket?  I highly doubt that. He's not even specialized batsman or bowler in the Test match. Like other poster mentioned above that one need to bowl at least regular spell. He's not able to do that till now forget about any test Match even in ODI he can't keep up the pressure from another end.

Check England tour, for example, he was always under-bowled in almost every test match and he gave too many runs with his lousy bowling. His Five wicket haul came on the 3rd match due to Bumrah-Ishant. They were bowling wonderfully and in between their spell, Hardik got lucky IMO.

Right now Indian Bowling is not a problem and India need good batsmen in top order and for number 7-8, if we can find Batting all-rounder then its great for us. I think Mayank Agarwal will come in and will open with Murali Vijay. and in lower order Jadeja or Ashwin in and Umesh Yadav out.

Hanuma Vihari doing great right now. he showed good temperament in the last test match and he deserves to be in this test squad. this dude got a triple century in domestic cricket. so will prefer him over Pandya any day in test cricket. Indian team needs to back up Mayank and Hunuma. and should keep a close eye on Shreyas Iyer, Prithvi Shaw, Shubman Gill. keep polishing these guys they are our Future.

Australia have been bowled out for 326 runs which I think is a very good score on this pitch which will get a lot harder to bat on as the test goes on. India has already lost 1 wicket just before the lunch break for 6 runs. Strac is was really firing up and could be the match winner for Australia, if he bowls well along with the other two fast bowlers then Australia could bowl India out cheaply. Right now Australia is in complete control of the match, the next two sessions will be vital for India to try and survive on this pitch.

This is the time Indian batsmen should step up and take responsibility. If Indians lose couple or more wicket in this session, then the picture does not look good for India in this test match. Pitch and ball are flirting with batsmen. Just hoping to see Pujara and Kohli go strong in this inning.

Despite Undia rattling Oz for 326 , India started badly and lost 2 quick wickets and are now 39/2. They would have wanted a good start so that they could get some lead in first innings . Now India’s middle batsman will need to prove that they could make the change in this tour and get a good score so that India takes a lead

The target was above 200 , its never easy to chase 200 in the last innings , especially at Perth . The Aussies were red hot favorites as soon as they crossed that 200 lead in the 3rd inning . I was sure that Indians couldn't win this but I somewhere feel if there was an extra spinner in the Indian team , things would have been different.

Well the picks for me in 2019 is the India/New Zealand matches as New Zealand are in super hot form right now and will be tough to beat at home even in ODI matches. The biggest one of all is of course the world cup as there are a few teams with a good chance at winning it next year. Then of course the Ashes to see if England can win them back which should see the Australian side have Warner and Smith return so its going to be an interesting year of cricket next year and I can't wait.

Bangladesh nailed this match as they made 211 runs in 20 overs which is an average of 10+ runs per over. This was their match and Shakib gave all round performance with bat and ball and was player of the match . With this win series is now 1-1 and even Bangladesh confidence to win the series will boost with this win.

I am just worried about the team or opening pair combination Tbh. having said that, I Have a feeling that we are going to win this test match  otherwise will spend my new year with Old Monk and bitching about Indian team lol

AFter a good start West Indies started to give wickets but the Run Rate is good if they are able to score above 200+ will be good but they have to bowl well and if they take early wickets then they have chances of winning the T20 and T20 series also.

But Bangladesh lost today's match and the series too.West Indies again proved their dominance in T20 format by beating the hosts by walloping 50 runs margin. It is a big win for West Indies and I guess this may motivate them morally to perform well in other formats too. A must mention : KMA Paul's contrinution to today's match. He took 5 wickets in four over by leaking only 15 runs. Hope he may find spots in other formats and in IPL too.

Chasing such score is never easy for any team and said that they would like to take positives from this series and take it forward as they are the good site and would like to start winning now the important matches as well.
