so far the future of crypto has been only pump and dumped many times and all the 14 pages of this topic is filled with brand new users who are saying eth is king like the comment above me!
The Ethereum is just two years old if you consider its IPO in 2014. But it is growing very fast, with some potential. Yes, we should give Ethereum some chance to prove itself. Its market cap grows faster than the bitcoin at the same stage. |

That's also what I think. They're two different beasts. There is much space in the cryptocurrency market for: - a solution optimized for smart contracts (Ethereum) - a solution optimized for medium-to-large standard payments (Bitcoin) Both use cases have different requirements and consequences, for example, regarding scalability. So there may be never a "catch-all" cryptocurrency. A diverse market is also better to experiment with various solutions. There is even more space, for example, for a micropayments-optimized solution (Iota, maybe? Nxt 2.0 childchains? Or something totally unknown for now?). I expect that in some years we will see about 5 to 10 leading cryptocurrencies with different security mechanisms and different applications. |

So far, it reached another dollar ATH, but not bitcoin ATH. |

Currently Ethereum is the 2nd best after bitcoins being second on market cap doesn't mean it is good. it only shows that ethereum has a big market cap, and market cap is a useless way of evaluating a coin. besides this big market cap is only because of the pump and dump which happens so often. |
