Etherum will never overcome bitcoin charisma in terms of technology reputation Etherum is more concentrated on smart contracts whereas bitcoin is on speed transactions so both are different

for this type of altcoin ethereum can be one good coin and have a future. but bitcoin also has a nice future not only ethereum, so I think now that ethereum and bitcoin have the same good future.

Ethereum dreamed to be the future, but it is not. Bitcoin is the future, and it is the cryptocurrency. Quite the opposite.

Currently so many new projects use the ethereum platform, and it seems that ethereum will pass through bitcoin. But the fact is when bitcoin prices fall, the price of ethereum also falls.
The ether technical part is much more developed than bitcoin. But bitcoin will remain bitcoin, and will be the main means of saving finances. And other projects will be used for the development of the blockchain ecosystem.

It's like someone else's minds when it comes to cryprtocurrency already know that bitcoin is like gold in its world, and ethereum is more advanced things than gold but have no inflation.
Maybe there's plenty of chances that Ethereum has to overtake bitcoin's throne. also, the price correlation as you have mentioned, is a proof that people still stick to bitcoin, they are cashing out their money from ethereum when bitcoin is about to fall to avoid bearish market.

ETH will allow $2T of underground economy to become more structured (and possibly less underground) through DAOs.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/wonkblog/wp/2013/04/23/americas-2-trillion-shadow-economy-is-the-recessions-big-winner/

If it captures 1% of that $2T, it is equivalent to $20B, which would put ETH somewhere around $150. Those who sell for $2 will shit bricks, eat sand and may even commit suicide in the years to come. If it captures 10% of that ETH will be $1500. I know it sounds crazy, but so did the Internet in 1995.

Once it's launched their main focus will be on scalability, which I think is the real reason crypto is not ready for mainstream. Once they can handle 100K TPS (and I'm sure they will), it's game over.

Your prediction is correct in some ways Im also watch Ethereum grows since 2015 its dramatic rise some hodler like you has gain much after 2+ years of hodling  I regret much when Im sell all my Eth at $14 per 1 ETH  if Im hold it till 2017 its worth almost $150,000 dollars at $1300 per ETH last Dec. 2017 But its too late for me Great prediction worth for reading!

with the development of Bitcoin growing stronger and stronger. it will be very difficult to beat Bitcoin in the future.
so for Ethereum that has increased, but still under Bitcoin. besides that with Bitcoin's ever-increasing development will minimize Ethereum's chances of escalating further.

bitcoin is different from all altcoins, and ethereum is one of those, ethereum will remain an altcoin. bitcoin is so valuable that even ethereum cannot beat, even if ethereum is the second most valuable coin in the market, it will never change the fact that bitcoin is still different from all of them.

I'm not sure about ETH right now, because not so many news from them during last year.
Their network is still slow and expensive
There are a lot of competitors around : EOS, NEO, TEZOS
We will see but ETH team should work faster and better to keep leadership among alts
This is a paradox - the Ethereum network is slow and expensive, but the most popular one))) And all because it is already working and convenient, while others simply promise to become killers of the Ethereum)) Grin

You can not claim that ethereum will ever bypass bitcoin because bitcoin is like father of crypto. Ethereum has its own importance no doubt in it but it cant cimpete with bitco8n. The ratio will be always around 1:10 i think.

to provide the statement I think is very difficult. bitcoin to date is still the parent of other altcoins if the ethereum has said progress is good indeed I don't think like that, but also to surpass bitcoin may be quite difficult, due to their own bitcoin is still growing good and great trust of them, people.

Actually my opinion is, ETH is the future of crypto i am fully agree with this. But i think after bitcoin eth is the best coin. And now ETH is growing superbly. So we can say that, Eth is the future of crypto and if ETH cross Bitcoin then it's won't be surprising at all.

ETH is the future ONLY if there will be no other blockchain implementation to become succesfull as ETH and BTC in their times.
ETH and BTC both have a future because they are popular and supported by some interesting projects. That's it.

Ethereum is really developing very dynamically now, and it is quite possible that the priorities will change soon and everyone will strive to invest in Ethereum, not Bitcoin. Over time will know.

I agree with your statement, Ethereum will always be a shadow of bitcoin and cannot replace it. What Ethereum should do is to complete with other altcoins that is now copying it's own idea like Smart Contract and DAPP.

Bitcoin is the strongest coin in Cryptocurrency. while Ethereum is a coin with rapid development. so both have potential that mutually support each other to improve the development of the Cryptocurrency. in addition, Ethereum and Bitcoin will unite to become the flagship coins of the future with a high potential for development.

Eth is different from bitcoin they have different project. Bitcoin is the reference of all the coins in the forum, so if bitcoin falls i think all coins will fall.
