I am going with under 2.5 goals for this game. Southampton defense is quite good and Arsenal last 3 home League cup games have ended in defeat, with just one goal scored. This game will not easy for Arsenal and they may need to wait till after regulation to win the game. It will be tough to call who will win but one thing for certain in such game is goals will rare.

it's true that Arsenal don't priorities the cup games and that can be a favor for Southampton also with Arsenal injuries problem they wouldn't try to risk players so we will propably see the second team play against Southampton so i think that the visitor team can get a positive results and with their great defense we propably will have just few goals.

both teams will playing safe and i mean that they will not pushing the players to win in this match even each teams always want good results but cup match will be less priority for the teams from EPL and i believe most of them will playing with reserve teams to maintain fitness level the primary players

Dont really think that arsene wenger might not prioritize the cup games , if thing in premier league is not looking good for him then he might switch to the cup game so wenger will tey his best for this match as well without using too many of his star player to avoid cards and injury of course however high chance that the game might end with over 2.5 goals

yeah West Ham knows how to penetrate Manchester united defence well as it will be the fifth game will be played against each other this year and in the previous 4 games we saw both teams scoring in all of those matches and with Both teams likely too rotate players this will make the game more intresting as we will see players who wants to get more regular time show their best so we defeintly will have both teams scoring

In this match, anything can happen because Man United is not showing consistent performance in since last few games. And west ham played superbly in the last game. Your option looks good, but I have doubt that West ham will score a goal or not, But Man United will score a goal no issue. My prediction is under 2.5 goals. Final result Man United.

Look as though you are going to win this bet on Southampton +1 as they are winning 2-0 with 8 minutes to go and should hold on for the win. I liked Southampton a lot this season and have picked them a few times and won a nice amount of money as they are the dogs most of the time and I just bet either European handicap or draw no bet.

Also looks like Man Utd are going to get the win which I thought they would as I think they want to win this cup just like Liverpool.

I think you won your bet and your guess was correct saw the match live and it was so pathetic that they were not able to run with the ball and make a goal, Southampton on the other hand kept full pressure from the starting and 2 goals in the first half made their confidence more

manchester united not win to nil , they conceded since first half but finally win the macth 4-1 with 2 goals from martial and 2 goals from ibrahimovic , i think this is big impact of Henrik Mkhitaryan in the line up replacing lingard.

and as you said manchester united duo between rojo and phil jones are still the worst , that is why they conceded.

It seems they have finally get a good revenger to west ham. Ibrahimovic scored at the second minute after the game start as well just like what they did to manchester united in the league game. Im pretty sure that mourinho can finally have a good night sleep today considering that he has done his revenger

Yup, we are getting so many unexpected results in this season, It was a very poor performance from Arsenal 0-2 is the big loss for this team. And next match Man United won by 4-1. Last game Man United failed to win that match but this game they are back with power pack performance. Congrats  Southampton and Man United.

Losing 0-2 from Southampton is unexpected result for Wenger but this is football everything can be happen, i dont think Arsenal don't want to get good result in this cup they just get bad result and maybe underestimate this match so they got lose

And then it all just became a lot more interesting.  Now both Liverpool and Man United will want to win in the semis for a chance of a great match for the League Cup.  I guess of the clubs that are participating those two would be the most likely to want to win this.  For Liverpool there's really nothing to win except for the League Cup, FA Cup and the EPL since they are out of CL and Europa.  With United's case, Mourinho still has something to prove and he's a guy who wants to win everything.  Playing a final against their most bitter rivals will be the icing on the cake.  I really do hope those two meet at the final.

Losing 0-2 from Southampton is unexpected result for Wenger but this is football everything can be happen, i dont think Arsenal don't want to get good result in this cup they just get bad result and maybe underestimate this match so they got lose

Yes this is indeed unexpected results but you must see that arsenal did not play a full core players.
so it seems reasonable enough and it turns out that their substitute players still lack good.
