I don't feel remotely qualified from the point I posted that fact. Great game and I cannot believe BTC is doing this well V/S a GM. I can't help but feel this type of game is not representative though as there seems to be many ways to research moves and I think doing so is against the threads nature. But I also cannot see any way to enforce or even test for it. So anyway, from what I can see it looks like g4 is attacking for a checkmate endgame where as a4 will be for a stalemate? I can't see past Qf4 I think on the g4 move line.

That is a creative idea. I missed Qd5+ in that line. I still like the idea of trading queens but your move seems good too.
