Maybe not 32. ... - Re8 but Bd7 (or consolidate with Be6 but we can't afford white to take the initiative), and maybe after 32. .. - Re8 33. Re1
etc, we have a lot to think about, I think. 28. Bd4 gives us a very good chance.

Bg4 won't work, i guess. Also after Ne4 in stead of Re8 in former variation, nothing works I think. But I hope you all look at it.
Here we go: 28. ... - Bd4! 29. Re7 - Bxb2 30. Bxf7+ - Qxf7 30. Rxf7 - Kxf7 (not Bxa1). I wished I had a chessboard to start thinking over from this situation.

That is a very interesting idea but I think white can defend with 31.Rd1 and retain a winning material advantage. 31.Rd1 Bc3 32.Qe3 followed by 33.Ne4 should be winning for white |

That is a very interesting idea but I think white can defend with 31.Rd1 and retain a winning material advantage. 31.Rd1 Bc3 32.Qe3 followed by 33.Ne4 should be winning for white Yeah, it´s an interesting idea but black ends up with two bishops and a pawn vs queen and not enough position against this opponent IMHO. |

I was expecting white to play Re3 or Re7. I guess Rc1 should not surprise us after 25.c5 but for some reason I felt like that move was more about freeing the bishop on the diagonal than the rook on the c file.

29.Rc1 essentially ended our attack and we are now headed for an endgame. Our winning chances are over but I think we have excellent chances to draw even after losing a pawn. Here is the best I can see for both sides. Most of the moves below look forced to me. After we play Qg6 our threat of Re8 followed by Re2 is pretty serious. I cannot find any good options for our opponent besides 31.Rc6.
30.Qxe5 Qg6
31.Rc6 Re8
32.Qxe8+ Nxe8
33.Rxg6+ hxg6
Both 34.Bc4 and 34.g4 should give white a small advantage but I think we have excellent chances to draw. I cannot see any other options for us that do not lose on the spot.

I think we have better chances by keeping the queens on and therefore 31..Rc8 32. Rxc8 Bxc8. Draw with the black pieces is never bad against strong opposition anyway. |
