Even though gambling odds believe that AC Milan will win in this derby della madonninna, I am still a little doubtful about AC Milan's current strength. In my opinion, Inter Milan has a better performance than Milan. Even though Inter have had a tough week with a hectic schedule, this victory against Milan will give high confidence for the next match and also to maintain the chances of winning the title.

Where do you see odds? Wherever I watch Inter is considered a clear favorite:

I'm not sure it's fair to give Inter such a big lead (in my opinion the two teams are about even), but the home match plus the best recent results suggests that Inter is indeed the favourite. If Milan lose this match, then most likely it will mean the end of the fight for the championship for it.

Their chances are very even, although in the last few matches Milan lost their concentration and achieved poor results, but the chances are very small for one of the teams to win the match here.
on the other hand there may be some considerations there such as against venezia some time ago and maybe that's the reference why inter is very favored

Both team as candidate for scudetto between Inter and AC Milan have the same chance because position standing left only 4 points with Inter Milan have one more match left. My prediction for this match is 2-1 for Inter to win, but a draw will always be possible for the Milan derby this season. Napoli will benefit if Inter lose or this match ends in a draw.

I would guess that it is not really ideal for Milan but at the same time they are still not "that" far back, just 4 points. I know there is one game more for Inter as well, which could take it to 7, if that happens (which it will likely happen) then Milan could be a bit more in trouble.

In recent matches we have some good number of points dropped by top 5 teams just inter is good in form, and they lost only 2 points against Atlanta all other teams giving points very badly which is good for healthy competition as now second and third spotted teams having 4 points gap from leaders inter and fourth and fifth are also trying to have some better position for rest of season.

Recently Juventus is also improving performance, and they are just one point behind Atlanta which is having one match advantage as well, but this all can go in vain because they are after very good rise now suddenly losing points.

Here in this match most chances inter will win, but AC Milan is very unpredictable, and their good performance can do some good change which is very important for more thrilling end of this season.

After maintaining a bad form, Roma finally seem to be playing better than before lately. They are on a winning streak of two games in the Serie A now. They even managed to destroy Empoli away by 4-2 in their last game which was a solid achievement for them too. Because Empoli are a tough team this season and they make difficulties for the biggest teams of the league too. This is a good signal for Roma I hope and their next game is against Genoa which is a home game this time. Genoa are one of the weakest teams in the league now and Roma shouldn't have any problem on beating them.

Juventus going back up to win it would not surprise me at all either,,, but this is too late a stage for them to make a comeback when they cannot put down teams like Roma easily.

Milan is just running out of luck. Inter happen to find luck with their style of game. The have a good team base but I'm not buying the theory of them having the strongest team in the league. Inter is only topping the league with 1 point against Napoli. For Juventus they have very little to offer this season the fifth position the occupy currently is been contended with them for by Roma hope the can dance well to the rythm of the drum

I always agree that luck plays a small part in football and in sports in general for sure,,, and you can definitely account for luck in a tournament where a bad team can even just play for draws and win penalty kicks but the league is a different type of luck. You cannot be lucky for almost 40 games in a season and hope other teams are unlucky

I would still add that the clubs have different successes if we consider the whole season - Milan crashed out of the Champions League, while Inter is successful both there and in Serie A. Napoli will play a very good game this week.  If you ask why, there is the Inter-Milan derby, and whatever the outcome of this match, it works for Napoli.  They are on the same score as Milan.  If Inter win, they will be three points ahead of Milan.  If they are tied, there will be a difference of 2 points with both.  This week Napoli must do whatever it takes to win.  They have no other choice.  Milan also need to win at least 1 point away from Inter.
