AC Milan managed to coup the top standings Inter Milan, following their victory over opponents Sampdoria. Rafael Leao's single goal managed to bring them 3 points.
Now they are top with 55 points, followed by Inter with 54 and then Napoli with 53. Only 1 point apart from each other, making the spirit competition interesting to watch.

It will be interesting to watch the Atalanta vs Juventus encounter - the neighbours in the standings... In my opinion, Atalanta have more motivation, because if they win they move up one position!  However, the stats from the last few games don't look too good for Atalanta... They've only won one game in the last five, while Juventus have been on a winning streak in recent games, not counting the draw against Milan!

Because of that motivation to shift Juventus in tonight's match, Atalanta did have a bad run but with this match it will definitely be tougher than what we imagined, Juventus certainly wants its table position to be maintained and Atalanta will definitely try to as home itself must win.
Sharing points for Atalanta is a result that is not satisfied.
The chance of a draw is quite large @3.1 but I'm not sure if this match will end in a draw.

Atalanta has been playing good and fun football for years, and they have also put in a good performance. Finished in the top 5 in Italy a few years in a row. a match that will be difficult for Atalanta because if we look at the statistics of the last match they lost while Juventus got a better result with a win. and I think Juventus also don't want to lose momentum to catch up with Napoli who get a draw against Inter Milan. Today's Atalanta-Juventus game looks very promising. Both teams will certainly want to take advantage of yesterday's Napoli draw with Inter and come closer to the top in the table. It's hard for me to name the favorite of this match, that's why I'm betting over 2.5 goals and counting on an interesting spectacle and a lot of goals.

I don't think it is too much about getting closer to Napoli and Inter. Sure, it might be a reason, too, but look at what is on the line for both Juventus and Atalanta! It is the Champions League qualification and Atalanta has played one game less. If Juventus loses this one (which is very possible) and Atalanta wins the game they are now behind, Juventus is again in a dangerous spot to miss the CL in the end, which would be a disaster for them. Definitely going to be an exciting game.

Juventus performance is much better than Atlanta seeing the matches in the table. Yes Atalanta is playing at home and hope it will perform well and win the match against Juventus. However its going to be really challenging and interesting to watch the top best teams fighting with each other. Hope Juventus will win and add up another win and hold its 4th place much firm. But if Atalanta wins then there are lot chance for it moving to 4th place. We have hardly 1hr 30 minutes.

I wanted to bet that Sassuolo and Roma would score against each other, but didn't... So far the game looks the same and the score 1-1 is fair... The kicking stats are the same too... Hard to predict who will win here, but I think the hosts can win! If not for the penalty kick, Roma still wouldn't have hit their opponents' goal...

Atalanta and Napoli has always been the Titans of the Italian leauge and Juventus just came up for the fact that the had a super signing, Ronaldo so since when he left, they haven't really made any clear impact as before and it has really shown that he was behind their success. Roma has even lost thier form because it was Roma after those two mighty club sides before Juventus came into place; this was before Ronaldo came to the club so if they've managed  to make it out over Atalanta, it shouldn't be something to rejoice much bout because they might also be a rovolt on form for Atalanta in less than no time .

And in the end, Milan won their game and now they are leading the leaderboard but they have 1 more game played over Inter.

Inter needs to recover the game with Bologna and it should be an easy win but hey never say never.

The interesting game now is this evening and it can decide a lot between Juventus and Atalanta.

Milan is leading temporarily Serie A with Inter and Napoli waiting to claim back that position whenever is possible.
Juve vs Atalanta is a very hard game to predict. Anything could happen there. Juve should win to avoid seeing Atalanta taking the 4th place since Atalanta still have an additional game to play comparing to Juve.
Meanwhile, Mourinho is in trouble since Roma is still drawing 1-1 vs Sassuolo with 2/3 of the game already played.

Milan played really great against Sampdoria today even though there was only one goal at the end. And the most important point was that Milan won of course. They got what they wanted from this game and this victory has helped them capture the lead in the Serie A finally again. The title rivalry has been fired up at a high rate and I hope to see this until the end of the season. And at the end, I still am supporting Milan to win the league title after a break of more than ten years.

Things going off script for Roma after taking the lead close to the end of the first half against sassuolo Calcio, but these guys didnt give up especially that they had the home advantage which mearnt they had to give extra which they have done coming from a goal down to take the lead with a 2-1 scoreline.... Match is almost over and it looks like these guys are really holding onto the much needed 3 points.

Correct, but apart from the exception in December last year when they lost against Roma, Atalanta is a pretty strong team at home and always good for a couple of goals. We'll know what's going on tonight. If Atalanta wins it, it will of course not be over, but definitely a big setback for the goals Juventus might have for this season.

Obviously, the stats from the last five games don't look really good for Atlanta, and in that same way, Juventus has a really good record of four wins and one draw in the last five matches.
Juventus seems to be coming back really strongly and now I don't think that they are going to give away the spot that they have achieved. I believe Juventus is going to win against Atlanta.

Couple if draws I picked for the weekend did play, I had the Genoa game in mind but didn't get to stake.
It ended a draw at the end of the day, Tammy Abraham once more one the scoreboard, the English man has been doing great.

Great work by Milan today against Sampdoria. They had a comfortable game but they still needed to stay focused to prevent any probable problem from happening. They took control of the game from the beginning and won by a 1-0 score at the end. This carried them to the first position in the standings currently. We will see how long Milan will be able to keep that position. Because Inter are the most likely team to take the position back from Milan as they have a game missing.

It was really lucky for Roma to get a chance through Cristante and convert it into a goal because otherwise I would find it quite embarrassing for them even if Sasuolo played at their home, but playing with 10 men is very difficult and indeed this is luck for Roma I think.
Well this result doesn't change anything in the position table but it's true that Roma's hope to move up is getting harder now

Looks very similar to what most Italian journalists were predicting today and yesterday. The only name they missed is Mckennie. Most suggestions seemed to hint at Zakaria starting in the center, with Loca on the right and Rabiot on the left. I actually wanted to see that. I was curious to see how Locatelli handles himself on the right side of a 3-man midfield. But not today.

I hope Vlahovic's arrival can inspire a few more players into performing better. Morata is already showing positive signs when he is not the central striker. I hope Dusan's fighting spirit will affect Rabiot and Locatelli because Juve needs more from those guys. Weston has already lifted his form and is performing better than at the start of the season.

Yes finally Milan managed to take first place at least before Inter play their 25th match and in that match Inter only needed a draw to take the table back because of goal difference
In the other match, I saw Roma performance began to decline, getting 2 draws in a row this is not a good result to fight for UEFA tickets. Roma squandered a few games and let Lazio take it.
