Milan must fight it out in the remaining three matches, the chances of qualifying for the Champions League are very small because they have to rely on Lazio. After the failure in the Champions League, of course the Milan players have been able to fully shift their focus to Serie A. The match against Sampdoria I'm pretty sure Milan will be able to reap the full points but I doubt when they play against Juventus and it has the potential to lose full points again. The way I see it, Milan wont be qualifying for the champions league. Lazio have to mess up really bad and Milan need to win to overtake Lazio. Lazio is five points ahead of Milan, and at this point of the season, five points is a lot.
Milan plays Sampdoria next which I believe would be an easy win because Sampdoria have already been relegated, but they play Juventus next. Juventus would be playing at home and they will see that as a chances to strengthen their place in the second position.
Lazio on the other hand don't have any more tough games coming up, but they still need to be focused and be better than their current form in order to make it to the champions league.

Furthermore whichever team finishes 4th will lose out on the last champions league spot if Roma wins the Europa league as only 4 teams are allowed from each league hence it may not really matter for Milan if they somehow finish in the 4th spot.

There is no reason for them not to show their best game in this meeting. Maybe in terms of standings, they are already safe because they can already ensure themselves that they will return to appear in Serie A next season. But that's not their goal now, their goal now is to try to get maximum results to get their best place in the final standings.
I think Monza have been very good this season, they came as a promotion club from Serie B this season and they have managed to occupy the middle table now. Ac Milan's chance to finish in the top four looks like it will be difficult and tough considering that there are only three more distances between Lazio and 4 points. Actually, this is all Ac Milan's own fault wasting points when dealing with a weak team.

Coach Pioli always makes blunders when Ac Milan meets the lower zone team, the lower zone team should be the source of goals for Ac Milan for the sake of increasing points in the standings.
