Under new manager Walter Mazzarri, Napoli suffered the second consecutive Italian Serie A defeat away at Juventus last weekend and I thought it was gonna affect their performance in their final and most crucial game of the group stage against Portuguese club FC Braga yesterday but contrary to my thoughts, the reigning Italian champions delivered an impressive and outstanding performance to progress the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League competition as runner's up of the group C. The Italian champions hasn't been consistent in the Italian Serie A since the start of the season and are currently not in the top four of the Italian Serie A standings but the convincing win against Braga last night I think will go a long way in boosting the morale and confidence of the team as they continue to go fight to finish the season in a good position.

Yes, there is indeed a huge difference in points, but this is the middle of the season and we cannot determine who will succeed in being at the top of the standings. The current competition is that Juventus and Intermilan are at the top of the standings and both are very consistent in winning, even though Juventus is actually more favored. compared to Intermilan, because Intermilan has to divide its time between other matches in the European league apart from the domestic league.

Last season, the performance of other teams were not good at all. And that's something which Napoli was able to take advantage of. But this isn't, the competition is very hard. At the same time, the performance of Napoli has also seemed to deteriorate. Even though this is still the 1/3 stage of the season, I think Napoli has shown enough signs that they are not going to win the league title. Victor Oshime scoring many goals like he did last season now depends on the general performance of the team and how many chances they try to create for the striker to score.
