we can't just dismiss bayern's performance this season just because they struggled against leverkusen. they're still leading the league and have a good record in ucl. let's not forget they're not the same team they were in the past, but they're still a force to be reckoned with.

Bayern Munich this season have faced few strong opponents both in the league and in Europe and never did they deliver a world class performance in any of these games. In domestic competitions, Bayern Munich have faced Bayer Leverkusen three times this season with 2 draws in the league games and a defeat when they faced each other in the German DFB-POKAL. In Champions League, they suffered a humiliating 4:1 defeat when they visited Barcelona in October. These are the reasons why I don't think Bayern Munich can win any other major trophy this season apart from the league title. I don't see them beating big teams that can see them reach the final of the UCL. Vincent Kompany I think is still a work in process at the club but he just have to further improve the team's overall performance especially against big teams

You're right bayern munich need to be consistent in thier position and also try to win more matches so as to increase the point difference, because for the fact that they have 8points ahead of laverkusen does not guarantee them to be the champion this season. Because they are still in the middle of the season if I'm not mistaken, so anything can happen. As leverkusen is trying so hard to cover the point difference.

Although Bayer Leverkusen is still trying hard to reduce the points gap with Bayern Munich in the remaining matches which are quite a lot, I don't think that it will be easier for Leverkusen to do this season. Because from the current eight points gap, at least Munich has the opportunity to stay at the top of the Bundesliga standings if Munich loses again in one or two more matches in the Bundesliga. So Munich clearly will not be relaxed enough in facing such conditions for now because Munich will continue to try to add points in every match.

Though you may be right, because the possibility for leverkusen to fill the gap is 5%  because bayern munich will always want to stop that from happening. Though anything can happen so far as football is concern, but I don't think if bayern munich will be so lazy to the extent that leverkusen will just come from behind and take the champion from them. Moreover, If something like this happen I think that should be the worst nightmare ever in the history of football.

However, with the performance of leverkusen I think they're opportune to gain victory in thier upcoming match against kiel who happens to be one of those teams that came out from the relegation zone this season, so I don't even see this team being a threat to leverkusen.

Bayern Leverkusen and Bayern Munich are two top teams in the Bundesliga and their fight for the league title will not come to an end until we see the end of the season. Bayern Munich already have the advantage since they’re leading on the league table with some points ahead of Bayern Leverkusen, but that does not still stop them from trying to overtake Bayern Munich in the standings. They played a very crucial match last week and that was suppose to have been a match they take advantage of and get to reduce their point gap between them and Bayern Munich but they failed to win the match and had to share the points between themselves. Bayern Munich and Bayern Leverkusen will continue to be rivals till next season or more until we see a poor performance from Bayern Leverkusen in the future before we see them as not a well to do contender with Bayern Munich anymore.

Bayern Leverkusen have not fully recovered this season. In the last five games they won two and drew the remaining three, that's not a sound result for the defending champions.  But we shouldn't think that the battle for the league title is over because there are still more games to play. If there is a drop in the performance of Vincent Kompany's men, Leverkusen might take over the number one spot.

Bayern Munich are currently 8 points better than Bayer Leverkusen with both teams playing 22  league games already so it means that they'll both play another 12 league games before the end of the season so mathematically, Bayern Munich are very far from being safe. Just two defeats for the Bavarians while Bayer Leverkusen wins their games will see both teams separated with two points so I believe Vincent Kompany and his players are very much aware that there's still more to play for if they really want to end the season as German champions.
That said, I think Bayern Munich will not want to throw away their lead and allow Xabi Alonso's Leverkusen overtake them. Bayer Leverkusen I believe will take the battle for who wins the German Bundesliga title this season down to the wire but I expect Vincent Kompany's men to lift the trophy

If we talk about performance, I have to admit that Munich is not like before. And related to Munich who looked helpless when facing Leverkusen, actually for me it was a pretty good result even though they had difficulty trying to defend or attack. Bayer Leverkusen will play away against a team ranked lower in the Bundesliga this season so betting on the home team is certainly very risky because today's match is not a difficult match for Bayer Leverkusen.
