The current score is 2-3 and it's time for the match to end and I think Leverkusen spirit is getting hotter in the Bundesliga this season.

Xabi alonso managed to maintain his great performance because they continued to record wins. The match against dortmund was certainly a tough match but they managed to beat Dortmund at the Signal Iduna Park stadium. Borussia Dortmund are getting reaped apart by Bayern Leverkusen, what a goal from P. Schick cool as you like as he lashed unto the cross from J. Frimpong in the 19th minute, 3-1 Bayern Leverkusen. The cross deserves to be praised, what a cross. Its just 25 minutes now and we have already seen four goals from the two sides, the question is, will we see more? my opinion, yes more goals awaits.

Finally, the game ended in favor of Bayern Leverkusen by a score of 2:3 but had it been Dortmund showed more courage earlier they could have ended in a draw even though the Bayern Leverkusen side became protective and needed to secure the win at all cost in order for them to still continue chasing Bayern Munich at the top of the league table. Dortmund's defense is very disappointing if not they wouldn't have allowed the three goals they conceded just within 19 minutes of play but that was to show how porous their defense line is and it has always been a problem for Borussia Dortmund because they have conceded goals in their last six games. The attack of Dortmund is not bad but they need to pay attention to the defense so that they don't continue conceding so much goals in their future games.

Most coaches are the main reason their teams do lose match and they don’t usually regret it because they are thinking that that’s the right thing. Same thing affected HensinFlick, Arteta, and some managers but they keep doing it because they are trying to change their playing pattern at very wrong time. Of big coaches keep making such mistakes, they will cause a lot problem and most of the coaches will get sacked.

 

I think the league that is the most enjoyable to watch after the Premier League is the Bundesliga.

It was definitely a good game and a great way to kick start the second half of the season it was a very good start for Bayer Leverkusen, two quick goals in the first 10 minutes of the game was a good one, for Dortmund it was a very poor start, giving a way two early goals against an opponent like Bayer Leverkusen is the biggest mistake one could actually make because when you try to press for an equalizer they punish you for the space you leave behind same thing happened in this game and resulted in the third goal for Leverkusen.

To Dortmund this is a very bad start for them, this loss can bring them down to even 10 position pending the outcome of other games, this is a bad one for Dortmund if they miss out on the champions league qualification places.

Dortmund had a nightmare since the first minute, the quick goal clearly destroyed their mentality. The attempt to make the match a draw failed, Leverkusen showed their class as the defending champion. Xabi Alonso strategy worked perfectly, by not controlling the ball too much, they effectively managed to win. The additional three points obtained by Leverkusen today, clearly put psychological pressure on Bayern Munich at the top of the standings.

Dortmund efforts to reach the top four failed again, now they are stuck in 6th place in the standings, their position also has the potential to be displaced by the three teams below them. However, there are still many matches ahead, Nuri Sahin can target a win over a weaker team to collect points. If Bayern Munich loses points when playing away against Monchengladbach, the competition for the trophy will be even tighter.

Pretty entertaining opening of the new round after the winter break. especially the first half. After the 2nd goal for Leverkusen in the 8th minute, it could look like we might see a double-digit result by the end of the game, but Borussia put themselves together and fixed holes in their defence (well, somewhat).
As I posted earlier, defeating Borussia in front of their own fans is not an easy task as they tend to perform really well at home, so it's a pretty precious victory for Bayer.
Who knows, maybe they will manage to defend their title after all.
Until tomorrow, the gap between Bayern and Bayer is only 1 point.

I'm so happy for the likes of Nuri Şahin the Dortmund coach and Xabi Alonso the Bayern leverkusen coach. The intersting thing here is, both of them were team mates, they both played for Real Madrid back then, its good seeing them now go head to head as coaches of two great German teams. Dortmund started fighting at the later stage of the game after they were 3 - 1 down, seemed like their opponent was too powerful for them to overcome. It was really a nice game right from the starting. Leverkusen are now one point behind league leaders who will play tommorow.

Bayer Leverkusen are not losing hope on catching up with Bayern Munich, Dortmund could not withstand the pressure especially from a team that still have that hunger of becoming the champions for the second time. For now Bayern Munich are using 1pt to top the league with a game at hand, let us assume Bayern Munich won their upcoming game it will be 4pt difference and this is the time Bayern Munich shouldn't lose or draw any game because it will cause them seriously, if Leverkusen should be ahead of Bayern then it will be hard to get Leverkusen off the top of the table. Let's not be in a rush to say Bayern won't drop point, if they continue to be at the top of the table I believe Leverkusen won't allow Bayern beat them in the return leg, I feel that would be the decider.

Dortmund has 70% ball possession, much more shots, but the same shots on target as Leverkusen. From this, we can see that N. Sahin has a lot of homework, especially in defense and also their front line.

Its not yet 30 minutes of play and we already have 4 goals, Bayern leverkusen seem to be having a free ride on the night. Dortmund will not believe what just hit them, 3 goal from the visitors in less than twenty minutes.

The goals were so quick in this match, and it seems like all the goals are already been scored because I never expected up to three goals in this match, but Leverkusen was so quick to score two goals, and even though Dortmund was trying to recover, they scored the third goal to weaken them completely, and the score line remains like that throughout the first half and the second half is also far with same score line.

Dortmund is playing well in the match, they hold the highest ball possession because they dominated the match, but Leverkusen was able to make it difficult for them from the early goals they scored; therefore, I don’t expect Dortmund to level this score because Leverkusen is playing carefully, they are trying to avoid conceding any goal because it will mount pressure on them and Dortmund will have power to level up.

They had four quick goals in the match before the first twenty minutes even, it was really a fierce and an interesting match to watch. the visitors were too hot for the host. Both teams played very well.

Some good news for Bochum. their previous 1-1 draw with Union Berlin got overturned by a German sports court to a 2-0 win. This is following an incident where Bochum's goalkeeper (Patrick Drewes) was hit by a lighter tossed at him by one of the Union Berlin supporters, who got irritated that Drews was taking too long and stalling the game to protect a favourable 1-1 draw.
Some say Drews didn't really suffer that much and he just used that opportunity to steal more time, but, nevertheless, Bochum will get rewarded with a win. I'm not sure if the decision is now official or if Union can still appeal, as this doesn't seem to be reflected in the official table yet.

It was a wonderful performance from Bayern Leverkusen tonight, they were the better team even before the match and were able to prove it today, kudos to their great performance. Dortmund and Bayern Leverkusen match today was fun to watch as both teams performed well without exhibiting much resilience in the game, they had their chances and were able to utilize them all. A record has been broken tonight by Bayern Leverkusen as the team to have scored Dortmund in their home on a Friday home Bundesliga game, it was a nice one from them.
