In my opinion, Ten Hag would not be a good choice for Borussia Dortmund. We all see the games he played with Manchester United. I think he is very weak tactically. A team like Borussia Dortmund needs to stop using trial and error. They tried something with Nuri Şahin and failed. After a very bad season in the Bundesliga, they lost to Bologna in the Champions League. They need a more experienced, better, tactically rich coach. Maybe an option like Nagelsmann would be great for Dortmund.

Dortmund sacked Nuri Şahin which was the right thing to do really. He was clearly not able to do anything for the team to recover. They were getting worse in the Bundesliga and their bad look reflected on the Champions League as well.  

Now we are all wondering who it is going to be next... Some sources claim that they are thinking of Niko Kovac who is without team these days. I say why not?

He has a history with Bayern Munich as well and it was a nice one. He got trophies including the Bundesliga one. Maybe he would know what to do about making Dortmund strong again.

If it was in some last few seasons, I would have said that Ten Hag will be able to manage a team in the Bundesliga using the survival strategy he employed when he was managing Manchester United. But in today’s Bundesliga competition, a lot of things have changed and he’ll need to do better than what he did at Manchester United if he’s given a club to manage here now, that’s the only way for him to survive long in here. Ten Hag two trophies won at Manchester United should be accolades to him, without the hardwork he had put into the games, he won’t have prevailed and won anything during his time there.

This statistics already shows the current dilapidated form that Dortmund are in now and they really need a rescue at this point or they may end up having their worst season so far in many years I have knows them in the Bundesliga. I still commend them for reliving the coach off his duties, they just need to get a new one to put them back on track before it gets too late.

The fact that Dortmund is at 10th place, is enough to fire Nuri Sahin to be fair. I am not really interested in any excuses or anything, Dortmund is not the type of team that should be getting anything good, we should be seeing how they are better. Think about it, this team was last years UCL finalists, and right now they are 10th on their league, that's just not acceptable at all. It was high time that they made a change and I understand why as well.

The biggest issue is, if the problem is not with Nuri Sahin and if anything is wrong with the players, then things could get a bit worse. So I don't think they can play coaches since the president is the one who releases monies to recruit crucial players, which I see isn't going well. Even if Nuri has been sacked and is a new coach, I do not believe the club will be able to rebound to their best form unless they bring in new players. Dortmund's performance has been so dismal that I doubt they will even qualify for the Europa League next season.

Dortmund transfer policy is indeed difficult to understand, the club top brass prioritizes short-term profits by releasing every star player. We can’t say for sure about that, they’ve already sacked their coach and don’t have any now. If the interim coach is able to do better with this squad, then we can blame the past poor performance on their former coach and if the situation is still the same, then we can conclude that the problem is from the players and they need to visit the transfer market to strengthen their squad again. I feel you are talking to me directly because i'm one of those to argue with you that Ten Haag is not as unproductive as some of you are saying because he made efforts to change the football dynamics at Manchester United but he didn't get all the support he needed to excel at the club namely from the players precisely. It was only the club that gave him a small benefit of doubt after he won the F.A cup for them but yet it still got to a time when they couldn't keep him any longer which resulted in the club sacking him. Currently now, is the club doing any better after Ten Haag's sack? No, they ain't.

Borussia Dortmund is a club that already has tactical players so they literally do not need a tactical coach before they can perform excellently. The club has been in the business of producing young talented players and afterwards, sell them off to other European teams so how would such club excel when they sell off most of their relevant players and leave behind the average ones. What a profound analysis of the situation in Dortmund. The coach was doing well. You are the only person on the planet now that thinks Nuri Sahin did a great job. You are the only person, you can feel unique now.

It is not that they have played an impressive season last year when Terzic was still there, but they did at least have 63 points and with some luck got into the Champions league. Furthermore they made it into the Champions League final against Real Madrid. Do you see that coming this year and if Sahin was still there?

This year, if they continue like that, they will end up with less than 50 points. No Champions, Europa or Conference League. They won't reach the final this year of course.

Sahin is not a boss or has some aura like other coaches. He doesn't know how to develop individual players, let alone a whole team. He has no clue how to lead a team out of a crisis and he doesn't have the character traits that make him an authority among the players.

It is not the problem that he is young because I know when I saw Nagelsmann a couple of times and that was a different ball game when he was coaching on the sideline. Nagelsmann was similar to Klopp. Sahin is the sweet little boy that grandma likes so much.

It seems you missed the important news that Dortmund has fired Nuri Şahin and the hope you want will not happen. Currently Nuri Şahin's position is replaced by Mike Tullberg who is currently trying to help Dortmund get better results.
And in the upcoming match I have confidence that Dortmund will definitely win and this confidence is based on the fact that Dortmund actually has reliable players but it seems that when with Nuri Şahin, Dortmund players are not very enthusiastic.

Now we know Nuri Şahin is one of the good players who could never be a good coach and unlike his football career, he was not a successful coach at all.

When Dortmund hired this coach they were hoping to see a much better performance from this player. To be honest they gave him enough time to prove himself but in the end, he was not the good coach they wanted to have and that's 'why Dortmund decided to get Nuri Şahin fired from this team.

Nuri Şahin was about to get fired from this team but when he lost the game against Bologna in the Champions League with a 2-1 result, they got him fired.

I agree with you. Ten Hag has a bad reputation when he managed Man United. He often has a problem with players. It won't be a good choice for Dortmund, he may made the same mistake in Dortmund. It is better to find out another candidate for Dortmund next coach. I'm sure, the option isn't Ten Hag only.   I heard there are some candidates, they are Sebastian Hoeneß, Niko Kovac, Roger Schmidt, and Ten Hag. Among these coaches, I personally prefer Niko Kovac as the next Dortmund coach. He has an experience managing big teams, he even won some trophies.
