I totally understand that your expectations for Bayern Munich in yesterday's match against Freiburg was less than what Bayern Munich played cause you thought most players would be weak from their Champions League encounter but you should understand that Bayern munich is the biggest club in Germany, they're not just any midtable team that got an opportunity to play in the Champions League moreover their Squad depth is good enough to enable them participate in several other competitions asides their League without being affected much by fatigue. Anyways Bayern Munich has to maintain such performance cause Leverkusen is ever ready to retain their title so to avoid losing the trophy like Bayern Munich did last season to Leverkusen after many years of being the Champions of Germany they need to keep winning their matches especially when they meet midtable teams.

The German fraw king at it again(lol) who else noticed it's gradually blending into a strategy for Leverkusen to accumulating draws, sometimes  especially when it's a means for them to get pass tough games. I was even thinking it was going  to be an opportunity for Leverkusen to utilise and accumulate some more points, but it turned out  they couldn't, Bayern Munich is still in strong g contention with Leverkusen and let's see how it ends this season.

Leverkusen was a disappointment yesterday, I think when the praise is too loud with some clubs, they tend to disappoint. A crucial match against a goodly performing club like RB Leipzig shouldn't have been taken lightly, it would have been a very good score for the club to add 3 points from the match so that Bayern's win over RB Leipzig in December could cross each other, but it blew it away.

This has automatically caused a setback to the title chase of Lerkusen as Bayerm has increased the point gap with an extra 3 points (6 points) by beating SC Freiburg yesterday.

The most painful part is that it made me lose my precious $5.

In short, Bayern is an actually good team with experience and good gameplay while Freiburg is just your average team that has had a lot of advantages in the first part by not playing in a second competition and having players involved in international nations cups also but slowly and surely once time passes by the dive down the standings as they should be. Whoever made a case of Freiburg and Leipzig being the revelations of the championship after just 4-5 games must now face reality, they're just average and they will get average matches and results.

This loss in points in painful. You would say that a draw is not the worst against RB Leipzig, but when you know that every point you drop will almost inevitably widen the gap to Bayern, then this result is like a defeat. This is what makes Bayern strong in the Bundesliga currently. They don't lose points. So many consecutive wins again and then one time Leverkusen has a draw and instantly Bayern extends the lead. It's bad because it is now going towards the duel between those two teams and the wider the gap, the less the pressure for Bayern. I had the same i thought when i saw the fixture i expected Bayer Leverkusen to take advantage of their poor performance and obtain 3 points to keep the pressure on Bayern Munich and see if they can drop points and secure first place but they were the ones that couldn’t keep up. Now Bayern are 6 points clear now and now it is getting more difficult for Bayer Leverkusen to keep up. Leipzig have been struggling with their form but even so Leverkusen couldn’t beat them, they went 2 goals up but Leipzig didn’t give up until they equalized. Leverkusen needs to learn to defend their goals if they want to be a strong contender for the title.

They haven’t played much draw this season and in recent games they have more wins so I believe things like this happen once in a while. Leipzig have proven that even if they struggling with form they are still capable of challenging teams like Bayer Leverkusen. Every think it was an opportunity for Leverkusen and going two goals up convinced us all that the game was over and Leverkusen have won.

Bayern Munich got a little closer to the Bundesliga title after last week results. But only a little considering there are still 15 more games to be played and the gap with Leverkusen isn't that big (6 points).  

I still don't expect Xabi Alonso's Leverkusen to drop down from the title competition easily. I think they will be a part of it until the end of the season. Maybe they don't have the same dominance but they are still doing an amazing work.

That draw against Leipzig was sad for them though. Leverkusen were the better side but it wasn't enough anyway. Leipzig were in control of ball possession maybe but Leverkusen were the one creating the most amount of big chances.

Bundles league is one of those leagues where I expect anything when the top five teams play against each other. Matches between this set can turn out to be far from predictions. As we saw in Bayern Leverkusen against RB Leipzig such that even when Bayern Leverkusen were leading I wasn't  sure they would hold on to the win till the end of the game and my instinct didn't fail me.

RB Leipzig gave good pressure to Leverkusen in the match which resulted in Leverkusen scoring own goal. By what anyone would judge based on table difference we would have assumed Leverkusen will walk away with an easy victory but things turned out beyond their expectations even after taking the lead in the first half. I watched how Frankfurt were some seconds away from claiming an important away victory that would've further increased their chances of finishing in the top four of the German Bundesliga standings at the end of the season before Adam Hložek scored that stoppage time goal to help Hoffenheim claim a point from the game. After Omar Marmoush left the Frankfurt to join Manchester City last week, I was thinking they'll automatically start struggling but their performance today suggests that they might probably not be missing the departure of the Egyptian. Hugo Ekitike who scored the away team's two goals today seems he's very ready to take on the role of Frankfurt's lead man now that Marmoush is no longer at the club.

Deserved is deserved.

For Hoffenheim, facing a loss in this game against Frankfurt, this point is like a small win for them given what their position in the table is. They can stop watching out for the top of the table, but have to do everything in their power to stop themselves from dropping any further obviously or otherwise their days in the Bundesliga are counted.

Frankfurt still has a comfortable 5 points gap and is sitting safely in the Champions League qualifier zone, which I think is a great objective to have for them this season.

Kompany is actually trying his best, we have not seen Bayern in any worst position ever since he took over, where the issue lies is sometimes how they lose important games, some of those loses are irrelevant supposed to be an easy win but eventually ends up. Last game in the Champions league was a disaster, losing by 3 goals in a champions league competition isn't what the fans would be glad about.  Already half past the total matches for a season, Bayern are still first and surely they look qualified for the title this season.

These are chaos that happen sometimes we assume that the winner of certain games is obvious, but what happened to Bayern happens and that does not mean that they are bad, that does not mean that the coach is to blame, no, in football matches anything can happen, Bayern is the main of all the teams in the Bundesliga that is undisputed leader, I do think that it can turn out to be the champion, now what happened in the UCL was something that nobody expected, it is difficult, but we have to assume it, also the format of the UCL now is very strange and at the same time interesting, the next day there will be 18 games, all at the same time simultaneously, it is something crazy never seen before in the UCL.

Looking at the match statistics for both of them, maybe Bayern Munich is much more favored to win the match even though we didn't watch the match before. But as we discussed earlier because Bayern Munich has much better quality players than Freiburg, Bayern Munich managed to beat them in the match with a score of 2-1. Without underestimating Freiburg we can see how far their potential is to beat Bayern Munich even though in football sometimes it can happen and the match was indeed won by Bayern Munich with more dominant control.

Bayern Munic used to be a very strong team that one can play with confidence both to win and also score many goals. It is just unfortunate that those days we play them as sure bet are over. Now you play Bayern Munic with fear and trembling because you never can tell when they will break your heart. They are at the top of the German Bundesliga table with six points ahead of Bayern Liverkusen who drew with Leipzig yesterday else would have reduced the points to four. It is highly likely that Bayern Munic will win the league this season but I don't have the confidence in them winning matches and scoring goals like they are known for.
