An impressive match from Leverkusen in beating Leipzig, because of this victory they are now in third place in the standings after Dortmund with 29 points, while Dortmund is 32, Leipzig failed to maintain their position and had to accept that this week they are in third place in the standings. I was surprised seeing Bayer Leverkusen win with such an amazing performance in this match, they really surprised everyone because what I was thinking before the start of this match is that Leipzig is the second team on the table, they played at home, so I was expecting them to win the match.

When I was watching that game, I told myself that if Leverkusen scored an equalizer and then a second goal, then Leverkusen would win the game, so I was going to bet on Leverkusen. I waited to see if Leverkusen would actually manage to score 2 goals, and when I saw that they did, I rushed to place the bet.

That's how football ball. When you have couple of chances but fail to take them then you are likely to be punished for not utilizing your chances. That's just what happened to Leipzig, as you say they started well and I liked the way they attacked but you need to convert your chances in these kind of games else you will either lose or draw. It's a strong game which both teams needs to be at their sharpest best but Leipzig couldn't and they payed the price. I expect them as the home team to win, with a goal advantage the should have increased the lead but failed and that is why Bayer Leverkusen became confident and felt they can win the game and they did in the end.

After this defeat Leipzig has now fallen to 4th place and Bayer Leverkusen now at 3rd place having the same point. I don't think they can both stand a chance for the league title but at least they can both challenge for champions league spot.

This was completely unexpected, as I thought Leverkusen would struggle at Leipzig's home ground, but the opposite happened, as Leverkusen responded immediately in the first half before scoring another goal in the final minute. It was truly devastating for Leipzig, who were fighting to maintain their position in the standings, although with this loss, Leipzig dropped to fourth place, level on points with Leverkusen. I expect the Bundesliga competition to continue to intensify, although the title contenders are now very predictable.

Actually, Leverkusen's performance has been improving since Eric Ten Hag was fired. Maybe tonight is the peak, being able to defeat the home team, a top team previously ranked 2nd in the current German league standings. This is a huge win for Leverkusen. Not only did they earn a much-needed three points, but they also secured a victory over a team that is their direct competitor for the top three position.

Sadly, even with the improved performance, neither Leverkusen nor Dortmund can pose any threat to Bayern's lead. The real battle will be for the runner-up position and places 3-4 that grant participation in the Champions League next season.

The clash between Stuttgart and Hoffenheim looked promising, as both teams are placed 5th and 6th with only a small loss to the top 4 teams, but there wasn't that much action there and both teams split points after a goalless draw, which I guess could be seen as a success for Hoffenheim, as Stuttgart had the home advantage and created more scoring chances.

There is a good improvement in the Bayer Leverkusen team as it is reflecting in their performance and the winning they have recorded in their recent games but still they are no way closer to Bayern Munich in the league this season and I don't think they are a threat to Bayern Munich cause it's almost like the 1st position is completely taken and they now have to struggle with the other teams for the 2nd to 4th position. Next season will be a good time to compete with Bayern Munich but for this season it's all over.

yeah, you really missed it. Dortmund played really well in this match. I know things are not looking really good for them when it comes to actually giving competition for the Bundesliga title. But they are at least trying to give Bayern  Munich some competition in almost every season consistently. It is highly unlikely that they will be able to close the gap of six points any time soon, especially with playing one match more compared to Bayern Munich. But since Bayern Munich has been dropping points recently, maybe there is a chance for Dortmund.
