FC Cologne continues there friendlies form and took it into the season, I was so particular in this very game because I included it in my options, I saw their form during the pre season and just decided to include them, to my surprise they didn't just score as I picked them to score 2+ goals they went on to win while coming from behind twice. They went down, equalised, went down again, equalised again and scored the third which was the winning goal to get all 3 points against Hoffenheim. Another game that surprised me was that Bayern Leverkusen game, they were 3 - 0 down to the newly promoted side and managed to score 2 goals but they still lost by that one goal difference.

Last season, Cologne struggled quite a bit in the Bundesliga and fought to avoid relegation, but they had a good opening match. Hoffenheim is not a weak team; last season they played well and finished the season in 5th place in the Bundesliga standings. Cologne managed to beat them with a hard effort. A 3-2 score is very good for Cologne.

Bayern Munich win their opening Bundesliga game 5–1 against VfB Stuttgart, and Harry Kane didn’t even score a goal. Kane didn’t get a single shot on target against Stuttgart.
And yet Bayern still win 5–1. How are you supposed to stop Bayern if Harry Kane starts scoring goals as well?
It’s honestly kind of scary already after the first matchday to see what this Bayern team is capable of.  Wink

Big teams win big in their opening matches. Barcelona won with a similar scoreline during their opening match last weekend and now Bayern Munich. We are going to witness exciting moments in the champions league this season with these big teams clashing with each other in the league phase stage.

It's unbelievable how Harry Kane name is missing on the score sheet. The fact that he played almost full time makes more troubling. It's worrying but at the same time it's a good development. Bayern Munich doesn't rely on Harry Kane alone to score and that should scare the other opponents. The scoreline would be insane when Kane starts scoring.
At least we all know how dangerous Harry Kane can be, so I'm not really bothered because one way or the other he's definitely gonna surpass them, my main concern in today's game is the like of Bayern Leverkusen, those guys were not really impressive in today's game, how those people managed to score them 3 goals before they could score 2 was what I can't explain, but I still believe in them, I still have the fate that they will do well this season despite the first lost, they only need to keep them head straight, and put in more work.

Bayer Leverkusen's match ended few minutes ago with a disappointing 3-2 loss against Elversberg. This was truly not the result I expected, especially after their performance last season. This was a team that I was expecting to match up against Bayern this season for the title alongside Dortmund but with this result, I think I would be second guessing that.

Elversberg really displayed an outstanding performance today and surprised everyone. I would want to imagine that this form continues but we know it's short-lived and we wouldn't be seeing such performance for long.

It was a really disappointing result from Leverkusen in today's match, based on the team they played against. If it was a strong team that we have known for a while, or a team that has been in the Bundesliga for a while, I may not have been disappointed. But against a promoted team? I will say it was bad from Leverkusen for losing the match. However, I will never make a conclusion now. I would like to watch and see how their performances will be in their next few matches. That is when I can say whether they can make the top four in the table or not.

But I know that Leverkusen can never be a challenge Bayern Munich for a while because they don't have the kind of squad to fight for the Bundesliga title. Assuming they had not sold some of their key players back in the last two seasons, when Alonso left, I would still have had some kind of hope for them in the Bundesliga. If I should see any other team that could challenge Bayern Munich, it would likely be Dortmund or Leipzig, not Leverkusen again, at least for now.

When it comes to Bayer Leverkusen, I have given up on them since last seasons on how they were performing, when they took that bodly move under the leadership of Xavi Alonso, I thought it's going to be the end for Bayern Munich, but unfortunately i was disappointed by them and since I don't surprise in any kind of result they have.

Bayer Leverkusen have lose their focus for a promoted team to win them in their first match of the league, Elversberg just got promoted to the Bundesliga this season and did so well in winning their first match against Bayer Leverkusen, sometimes we would like to give benefit of doubt but in this circumstances I don't expect bayer Leverkusen to be so low to even lose their first match of the season.

It appeared that Bayern Leverkusen had lost control of the game, which surprised me, and neither their defense nor the goalkeeper helped at all. It was amusing that Bayern Leverkusen managed to tie the score with two goals, but they were still unable to win the match. This was a very typical performance for them, as all of Elversberg's goals appeared to be too simple, which is why I am still shocked by the team's performance today.

Leverkusen doesn't appear to have any advantage this season because we already know how they are; all they need to do is settle down and try to understand the game and how to score. It's not always about power it's also about intelligence and creativity. These are some of the reasons we stated that Bayern Munich is the most likely team to win the league this season. Because they seem to have everything and what it takes.

The opening match of Borussia Dortmund, one of the strongest opponents in the Bundesliga and a great team, has just ended. They secured a 2-0 victory in their first match. Dortmund was very good in attack. However, they received a red card in the 77th minute, but even after that they managed to keep their defense strong, and did not give Hamburger any chance. The match was good.

But I liked the match yesterday even more, where Bayern Munich won the match with a huge score of 5 goals. Bayern Munich completely crushed Stuttgart in that match and won the match with a score of 5-1. Anyway, now each team will try to do more better after their first match, and as time goes on the teams will become more and more tough, and then the matches will be more and more difficult.

I watched both games. Today’s game between Dortmund and Hamburger SV: Dortmund won 2–0 and were by far the better team in the first half. But towards the end, even before the red card, HSV had one or two chances and could easily have scored a goal.
Yesterday’s game between Bayern Munich and Stuttgart was clearly dominated by Bayern. When I compare the two games, I have to say: I honestly don’t know who is going to beat Bayern Munich this season. Borussia Dortmund certainly won’t. That much is clear to me.

It is impossible to rebuild a strong and winning team within a few months, especially if it has to be from scratch. The management of Leverkusen put more value in quick cash than building a legacy in football. When you point blank sell of all the wonderful players in the team just to put some money in the account, it proves where the priority lies. There is no way to build back that solid squad with great chemistry instantly, no matter the amount of profits gotten from the sale of players.

Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund use the same logical measure, because they do the same thing: they take players, transform them into quality players and then don't aim to build a squad capable of aiming for the title, but always tend to sell these players, being more interested in revenue.

Bayer leverkusen will love to win the Bundesliga title, I dont think they focus more in selling their players, i just think they are not good this season, and the season is just getting started we can't say what will happen but for them to loose  this match against weak team like this, I don't think Bayer Leverkusen will do anything good this season.

But let's see what will happen, Bayern munich beat their opponent Stuttgart  with 5 goals, they beat them you can see that Bayern Munich is fully ready.

Sure bayern have the quality and experience to dominate well, but football is actually one of the sport that we can’t understand at all and it will always surprise you, most especially when the season is long and i think you are right about Kompanys bigger ambition and if he can keep bayern on winning the Bundesliga while managing the squad properly, then I feel like his main test will actually be the Champions League and with the squad he has there is no way bayern will not be aiming a deep run in Europe and it will actually be interesting to see whether Kompany can keep the team strong and capable of challenging for the Champions League.

This is exactly why Bayer Munich didn't let Olise leave for Real Madrid. It is because it has continued to keep its players, because it has a very strong team and intends to compete in a concrete way for the final victory of the Champions League. Consequently, having an already proven and now fortified team, he will certainly want to aim higher.

Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund use the same logical measure, because they do the same thing: they take players, transform them into quality players and then don't aim to build a squad capable of aiming for the title, but always tend to sell these players, being more interested in revenue.
You can’t say for Leverkusen now because their own might just be one season, but talking about Dortmund and selling of quality and important players, no one come close to them in the whole Europe, they don’t care about winning trophies in my opinion, they are after making money because they are not keeping the players they need to help them win trophies, they sell the players immediately they get an offer to sign the player, they don’t any means of keeping these players in the team since other will come and leave with nothing serious.

The number of players that have left Dortmund are much and most of them are the best in any team they signed for, meanwhile they team is always struggle to finish in the Champions League zone, they don’t care about the title race, they left it for Baryern to continue the dominance by making the league farmers league because the teams that are supposed to compete are not serious.

Hahaha, maybe an exciting seasons for Bayern Munich to win another easy title.

It’s still very early but I’m sure other teams would instead settle for the second spot since it seems first place has practically become Bayern’s birthright currently and with such scary start I don't think anything is changing this season. I honestly don’t see a serious contender challenging them this season but well, it’s still too early to tell. Let's hope some team surprises us and makes it interesting for us.

I honestly thought Stuttgart was going to make it difficult for Bayern after equalizing the first goal but seems they got Bayern more provoked.
Indeed, Stuttgart should have made it a bit more difficult after the equaliser but then they became headless chickens Cheesy

I think a mighty contender emerged yesterday - they are called "Elversberg" Shocked
How they steamrolled Leverkusen is just one more example why it's always Bayern in the end.
At least Dortmund won too....then again not very convincing.

Bayern Munich should punish Stuttgart with the scoreline ending with three goals to nothing. Bayern Munich will most definitely crush their opponents in a landslide. I'm also predicting Olise to be amongst those who will score a goal. The Champions League should kick off soon and Bayern Munich will be also facing Manchester United.

Has anyone any concrete information about that particular female manager in the Bundesliga who took over a job within the last few weeks of the Bundesliga last season. What is her progress and how has she done during preseason and preparations ahead of the new season. Any news? Maybe I will look it up myself.

Yes, it's a feeling that almost all football fans feel. Bayern Munich is a really strong team that has improved further this year. Given the importance of the first approach to the championship, it didn't go badly at all, i certainly didn't expect a similar result, we'll still have to wait to see the fervor of the teams at full capacity, it's not a bad start.

Bayern have no need to let their key players go, they have lofty goals, and to achieve that, they need the best players. Bayern have never sold players to make money, their main goal has always been to win trophies. I think their main goal now is to win the Champions League, and with a team like this, I think it's realistic for them. They had bad luck against PSG last season, so they'll try to do the same this season. As for the Bundesliga, I think they'll win easily, without much competition.

Leverkusen not only lost control of the game, but they also seem even more unclear about where they want to go. Hiring coaches and players, nothing the management of Leverkusen does seems right, even though Leverkusen back in Xabi time was really great, now Leverkusen is getting worse. Leverkusen loss in the first Bundesliga match was of course a huge surprise because they lost to the newly promoted team SV Elversberg.

In fact, Elversberg is a newly promoted Bundesliga team whose stadium only has a capacity of 11k and has the second lowest market value, but they managed to beat Bayer Leverkusen in their debut match this season. Of course, they should be proud of this result, especially in the first match which will definitely impact the matches to come. From the smallest club like Elversberg, we can also conclude that in Bundesliga history they prove that football miracles can still happen. I think this win will boost their morale and confidence moving forward.

I doubt that the teams will become stronger or that the matches will get more difficult. If a team can't compete with Bayern, then no matter how hard they try, their defense will still concede a lot of goals. Do you really think that after Bayern beat Stuttgart 5-1, Schalke will somehow play better in the next match just because they saw that result? I seriously doubt it, they'll try to defend better, but I still think they'll concede 2–3 goals against Bayern, at least.

It's matchday #1 in the Bundesliga. Honestly, I can't wait to see how the teams fare at the start of the season. What is always interesting is the Bayern Munich match, I’m actually convinced they’ll win tomorrow, but for the sake of the BSFL contest, I’m backing Stuttgart, they don’t even need to win, a draw is all I need from them, LOL.

Definitely an interesting match, not a bad start at all. Stuttgart is a team that can really give us a hard time this season, it's still early days and i wouldn't look at the result, it's too early to make hasty conclusions, Bayer Munich still remains the candidate for first place at the moment.
